Luxury British Beds

David Hammond Luxury British Beds, same company as Forest Tec. He is a dishonest man. Do not believe a word he says. Unfortunately I did, had confidence in his sweet chat. I ordered a bed Ethan plus mattress from him last November 2020. Promised christmas delivery. In January he promised my bed in two weeks. Further weeks passed whereby he sweet talked me, pawning me off the phone on a Monday, promising to call me Friday with a further delivery date, he never did phone. I sent three emails to different addresses telling him to refund me immediately. He responded saying he will refund me Monday morning. Tuesday i wrote asking if he has honoured the refund? He said yes all done from this end, that it takes days to reach my bank. The refund, It never did reach my bank! more lies. I then tried again to phone him, to realise He had blocked me from communicating with him.
Fortunately for me my bank managed to get my money back. I was lucky, as it was more than £1000. This man is a sweet talking, untrustworthy dishonest individual. Do not buy from these people

Hi Angela,
I am spelling out below the saga I experienced with “Luxury British Beds“ Ipswich.
I ordered a bed in January 31st 2020 and was promised delivery in 4 weeks. After several chasing calls were unsuccessful eventually I threatened to report David Hammond to Trading Standards to which I received a call immediately and was assured the Bed was ready wrapped and ready for delivery.
I did not receive the item until out of the blue 22/06/20 it was delivered by a Company called Algarve Removals from Malaga. They we’re ready to just drop the Mattress and Bed Frame as it was delivered wrapped until I insisted they erected it. which they did.
However on unwrapping the items they found a Cigarette burn in the mattress and one button was missing from the quilting, they checked the packing and found no damage so the mattress was obviously damaged at the time of being wrapped. The delivery company telephoned their office who then telephone David Hammond to advise him who told them it would be replaced, they asked should take it back but was told to leave it at my address.

To-date I have heard nothing!!!
I in the meantime have been trying to get my money back so far to no avail. The mattress bears the name of Forest Tec nothing else!!
The Company and David Hammond is Fraudulent as far as I am concerned and people should be aware if considering purchasing items from them.

Use another company, customer service non existent

I chose this company as they market delivery abroad and we wanted a bed delivered to France. Website was easy to use and appeared to have discounts. Pre sales service was excellent but it was downhill from there. Ordered mattress and divan base, delivery was delayed as a result of Covid. Despite a promise of notification of delivery from David (Sales) the driver called me the evening before delivery was to be made the following morning. We were in U.K. at this time. We organised a neighbour to receive the delivery at the time given by the driver. When delivery was made the driver arrived 4 hours early so no-one was home and only the mattress was delivered. It took many phone calls and emails to organise delivery of the divan base which was finally delivered a month later. Compensation was discussed with David who agreed that it would be possible if we took receipt of the mattress as I told him that I was fed up of waiting and he could collect the mattress and refund the whole amount of purchase. We have never received any agreed compensation despite many chasing phone calls and emails.
Although the bed itself is comfortable and looks well made the time it took for delivery and the inconvenience of 2 separate deliveries a month apart does not compensate.
Tiny firm with a glossy website showing discounts which are always available, would not recommend.
I have given David numerous opportunities to rectify this problem but he has failed to respond, and so he leaves me with no choice but to leave this review and hopefully avoid other customers having the same poor experience that we have had.

Awful Customer service!!

Sorry to start like that, but I can confirm all bad experience people have made with the customer service of Forest Tech, also known as Luxury British Beds. For more then one month now, are we trying to get our missing fittings, to finally assemlby our bed - without any success. Emails are only sporadically answered and if you get an answer, you just get put off or you get empty promises. If you try to reach someone by phone you only get a mailbox, which in the meantime is telling you that it has no more space for new messsages.
Actually, it doesn‘t matter, since I guess no one would make even an effort to call you back - except you want to buy something;)

As I already said at the beginning, I‘m really sorry to start like that. Even if we could‘nt attach the head board, and the draws cannot be opened/used, because of the missing fittings (screws and feeds), the bed and matress itself are really nice and comfortable. After a few empty promises that the missing fittings will be sent to us, we just accepted now that we paid a lot of money for a good matress, an average bed box and a absolutely crappy service. The missing parts will never be sent and so we are trying to find some new feeds and screws at the tool market. I already checked on the internet for the feeds, but I couldn‘t find them and it seems like that I have to replace the currently installed fixtures and in the same time I need to reattach the material again, but... Yes, all this is included in the price of, believe it or not, 2,505.00 GBP or ~ 2900€.
*** Irony on /Apparently the production of the feet and screws is an immense effort and the worldwide demand for these feet is currently so high that delivery times of up to 6-12 months can occur. / Irony off. ***
Sorry, but we are more then disapointed of the way, Forest Tech handles their claims!

Our conclusion, never again! We were also thinking to order the new bed for our kids from there – no way! I even don‘t wanna think about the case, when maybe something is wrong with the mattress and i need to contact them again. LOL, I should have known better, before I ordered the bed and I read the comments – but hey, why THIS should happen to ME !? ;)

If you ask you self now, why the hell did this moron paid the full price before he received the bed in an acceptable state – yes, you are absolutely right! ;(
