MACC Hair Belfast Reviews 

I am deeply disappointed with the service I received at MACC Hair Belfast. The experience felt misleading — I was told one thing during the appointment, then charged for services I never agreed to, including a £48 root tint that was never performed. When I queried this politely, I was given a defensive explanation about “hair conditions” instead of a simple acknowledgement of the mistake.
Although the atmosphere was welcoming, the service itself felt rushed and impersonal. The stylist, Peter, was juggling multiple clients, and I was moved between seats several times.
The consultation was unclear, and the final charges did not match the work that was actually done. The explanation sent after the bill was emailed felt inconsistent and completely misleading — more like what they wanted to justify rather than what truly happened.
The response to my email was the most concerning: I received a defensive and intimidating phone call instead of a straightforward explanation. This left me feeling misled, overcharged, and taken advantage of.
I spent £137, and it was completely wasted. After this experience, I wouldn’t trust MACC Hair Belfast with even the simplest service. Save your money and go somewhere honest — this salon does not respect your time, your money, or your trust.

I got the nicest haircut here. Peter is absolutely lovely! Highly recommend!

Horrible. Just look at their responses to bad reviews. They take no accountability. They ruined my hair and I had to cut it all off. I considered contacting a solicitor.

Ruined my hair. Staff were friendly but didn’t do what I’d asked. I showed Yasmina a few photos and had an in depth consultation on what I wanted done, but she did the exact opposite of what I was looking for. I had left a review on Google a while ago but having to sit with awkward, unproportionate hair for the past 2 months, there’s still a bitter taste left. If only she wasn’t so scissor happy, I wouldn’t have to walk around with no self confidence.

Best haircuts in Belfast IMHO.

Had my hair coloured cut and styled by yazmina on the 30th of january after an initial consultation a few weeks prior.My hair was a complete mess after cancer treatment ,i brought a photo of a style i was hoping to get close to and yazmina said she would do her best for me.She talked me through every stage of the process in detail and with great patience and the results were nothing short of amazing!FANTASTIC SALON AND STAFF and yasmina is amazing.ELLEN DUFFY.

Second time going to MACC hair, went to Annie both times and have been very happy with the results, she’s very friendly and bubbly and really knows what she’s doing. Perfect cut (even with a cows lick/fringe situation) she’s not scissor happy and her blowdrys are nice and bouncy and curls are perfect. The rest of the staff seem lovely too and the whole place has a really nice atmosphere.

I usually find it really hard to find a hairdresser I like & trust so I’m very happy :)

After moving to NI 3 years ago, I have never found a hairdresser who has completely satisfied me with the end results... until today!
Danny took my long hair to a bob and it's simply the best haircut I have ever had. Such an enjoyable experience! I have never had anyone spend so much time to completely perfect my cut.
Finally found my goto salon ❤

MACC Hair is the only hairdressers I have been to that actually do what I ask! I have been trying to achieve blonde for the longest time and Kylie is helping me achieve this gradually and my hair is in absolutely fantastic condition! The best environment with the friendliest staff!

The best service around, always met with a smile from all the friendly staff. They really care about top quality customer service, going out of their way to ensure you have the best experience possible! Alana has completed transformed my look and I couldn’t be happier with the amazing results 😍 anyone looking for some pampering from the best book in ASAP! Plus the salon is super cute inside 🌸

Been twice in the last 2 weeks, only wanted a cut and blow dry as I always have my hair black, alana done my cut and I just adore it, she was so good with colour suggestions and an idea to brighten up my hair that I decided to return this week and got the money piece and balayage through my hair and I honestly could not be happier, beautiful salon, top customer service with a lovely coffee and a wee cheeky biscuit , thanks guys see you in a few weeks to get pampered xx

First time ever getting my hair dyed and I couldn’t have gotten a nicer experience if I went elsewhere. The service was amazing and my hair looks so nice . Thank you so much and I’ll be looking forward to coming back

Amazing salon, excellent staff so friendly!

I love going to this salon! It is so sytylish, the staff are so lovely and the the products they use are amazing. The staff are always full of great banter with each other and the customers. You never wait for your appointment, greeted at the door, coat taken, offered a tea or coffee or a glass of water or something else (they brought me a little pain au chocolat one day with my tea) such a nice treat! Before your drink is there your already sat in the chair with the stylist discussing what the plans are today! Their work is amazing i have never left disappointed and i love looking around to see what they are doing with other cients aswell. Its a great central location aswell so handy to get to.

Mina who cuts my hair is so professional and caring. She does a wonderful job,she listens to her customers and gives them what they ask for. The rest of the staff are so lovely and really helpful. Great place to go into 😀
