Adverse reaction to a mascara…

I had an adverse reaction to a mascara product. I contacted MAC, was asked to fill out an exhaustive questionnaire, which i then submitted. I chased several times and I was just ignored. Trash mascara which I binned and no care or custody service to speak of. After twenty years, I will no longer be using this company.

Trash company with mediocre products

Trash company with mediocre lipstick

My first experience was ordering online for same day delivery. The store cancelled my order. When I contacted the store about my order they said the items are actually out of stock.. Ok fine, but when I placed a new order and after a week of no response or shipping of my order I contacted customer service. They told me the items are backordered.. After about 2 weeks they finally fulfilled my order. The third time ordering from them was the last straw. All my details for shipping were correct but Mac entered it wrong - note they have delivered to my address prior. I got a notification since I had a shipping account with UPS that address info in route to me was missing. They took accountability and said a new shipment is on their way, not expedited either as I was upset already. I asked if the order can be expedited as it's been almost 2 weeks and they said they were not able to anymore after placing the order. The CSR reps have no customer service and I told them to cancel out my order (Mac says on the site orders can be cancelled within 30 minutes). The CSR rep then says they can't cancel anymore and I told her Mac's policy but that only applies to the original one I made.. Turns out the CSR rep lied and just corrected the address of my original shipment which ended up coming a few days later.

At the end of the day people work hard for their money and customers should not have to keep chasing a company just to get basic service. If a brand can’t even tell you when items are out of stock, communicate delays, or deliver to the correct address correctly, then honestly it’s best to put your hard earned cash with a company that can actually get it right especially when the product is mediocre to begin with. Remember, they work for you. It should not have to be the other way around where you have to keep contacting them to do their job. Because of this I decided to declutter and get rid of ALL my Mac products - as stated, it's mediocre and lipsticks make my lips peel & chap. Trust, spend the money for a more premium high quality lipstick. Not buying from this company again or supporting them in any way.

disgusted on hold 4ever wrong shade ordered.chat promised refund..email denied it WOW 1st&last time2deal with a big co.who shows no value 4 customers! unreal don't use do- L'Oreal Maybelline or any other REPUTIBLE co.

I visited MAC in Grand Central…

I visited MAC in Grand Central Birmingham on 15/04 at around 3:30pm, and I just had to leave a review after such an amazing experience.

I was served by a lovely employee called Denise, and honestly, she made the whole visit. Her smile was absolutely stunning and so welcoming from the moment I approached. She was incredibly helpful, couldn’t do enough for me, and made me feel really comfortable and valued as a customer.

The whole place had such a lovely atmosphere, but Denise truly stood out. I’m from Glasgow, otherwise I would genuinely come back just for her customer service!

Hands down one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had—Denise is an absolute credit to the team.

MAC store in St David’s Cardiff

MAC store in St David’s Cardiff - what incredible staff you have in your shop - I went in at 12:30 today just to ask for a sample as I am not loving the new Estée Lauder foundation - the staff were so lovely and found me the perfect match without any trouble - they really made one of my worst nightmares due to my acne scarred skin wonderful - thank you so much keep being incredible!

Mac Cosmetics Brighton store

We were ladies that lunched and decided to visit the store to buy a lipstick. Alessia approached us, she was great, really friendly and genuine. Alessia did a mini make over on both of us. It was a brilliant experience, we both made extra purchases based on her advice.

Carnaby Street Makeup lesson

Today I went into Carnaby street for a makeup lesson with Raksha, and she was amazing! I felt so welcomed and comfortable, and she did an incredible job with the lesson helping me find the best products for me whilst also listening to my opinions and wishes! The products were high quality, and having bought some, I was even gifted a free lipstick. A very pleasant experience, thank you so much!

Mac studio powder assistant

Purchased my first Mac studio powdered foundation at the Mac counter at Heathrow Terminal 5. Unfortunaltely I don't remember the beauty advisors name, but she was so helpul in helping me choose the correct shade. She had redish long hair and a pale complexion tone.
I'm thrilled with my purchase, amazing coverage.

Poor website, charging for what should be a free delivery

Started to place an order for a lipstick and noticed I was charged for delivery. I’d already checked delivery charges and found this on the website -

1. Standard Delivery: £2.95 (FREE on every order when you sign in, register or when you spend £30)

Live chat wasn’t working, the site suggests contact by WhatsApp but when a message is sent you get an immediate response stating that WhatsApp isn’t monitored and it suggests using live chat!
I’ve called and been told that free delivery is a promo when you sign in for the first time, this should be communicated in the delivery info!

complaint

You cannot complain - their chat or wats app does not exist- I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment regarding a recent purchase from MAC Cosmetics.
On the 27th of November 2025, I brought a group of my theatrical makeup students to MAC store for a demo, they enjoyed the experience and purchased a great deal of products. I have always championed MAC to my students but will not moving forward a complete rip off. I personally purchased a Lingering eyebrow pencil. I have used just a few of times — and I truly cannot believe that something at this price point has run out so quickly. I am honestly shocked.
I feel this is a really disappointing product, and I do not feel I have received value for the price I paid. I would like to understand why I should be expected to pay such a high price for something that lasts for such a short time.
I look forward to your response.

45 minute service at MAC store,Arcadia CA

I booked a 45 minute service at the store in Arcadia, CA. It was such a disappointing waste of money. I wanted tops and tricks, especially showed matching and how to apply make up. The woman who was supposed to be an expert was taking tips from me. She had no idea how to help with my skin tone or application. I could have just walked in and had swatches and did not have to spend $90. The overall atmosphere at that store is unwelcoming and uncomfortable. The were too busy talking to each other to even notice customers coming in. I love some of my MAC cosmetics but this experience has made me rethink being a MAC customer.

Will never do business with them again

Will never do business with them again. I ordered over $100 worth of product and got one free sample. I needed to return on item which was $24. They wanted their free sample back before they would approve a return. Seriously! There are 900+ beauty companies out here and you want your free sample back?! Plus it took 10 days to get product when competitors can get it here in 4.

Scam - online Mac 8-in-1 offer

I ordered the Mac 8-in-1 package online, but the seller sent the wrong item and three items were missing from the order. I contacted them repeatedly through WhatsApp, but after receiving the payment they have stopped responding. Because the number is now unresponsive and I can’t reach them, this might be a scam.

Locked Kiss lipstick does nothing of the sort!

I finally got my hands on the Locked Kiss 24hr lipstick after it constantly being out of stock. Absolute rubbish! Barely lasts half an hour let alone all day. So disappointed to have wasted £32 on a lipstick which I can’t really wear is it leaves me with a bright red ring around my mouth.
