Tried to return a pair of hiking boots that were the wrong size a few months ago, but have received no refund and now it looks like the company's online presence has completely disappeared. Their company's accounts are late according to the Government website portal so I'm assuming they've gone out of business? Absolutely gutted because I'm now £250 out of pocket.

Can anyone suggest how to get a refund?

Ordered a coat for my granddaughter for Christmas washed once as per instruction and the writing came off, sent an email explaining what had happened no reply. Sent another email again no reply.
Rubbish customer service. Not very good quality item for the amount paid.

Similar to recent reviews below, I too have returned an item (Rab Jacket) since over a month and received no response via email or phone. Appears company has folded, looking at options of being reimbursed

This company has vanished. I've been trying to return a pair of climbing shoes I bought which were the wrong size. Parcel returned to me and I am getting no answer to emails or phone calls. Avoid.

Vanished into the abyss.....I have a Rab jacket and the stitching has worked loose on the arm...poor quality from Rab, but even poorer service from Mad About Mountains.
No response from any email or phone calls...I can only assume they have gone out of business as the website doesn't work now too.....avoid at all costs

I returned a pair of walking trousers to this company using their return form, but they were sent back by Royal Mail with the message that the company is no longer at this address. I have emailed the company twice and have received no reply. I notice that other people have made similar comments on the company's Facebook page.

Do not go near this company. They have gone bankrupt and will not return my refund.
Shocking takes your online payment knowing they will not be there.

Have had a good experience with Mad About Mountains in the past but Royal Mail have just confirmed that my return parcel was refused at delivery. I also have emailed several times in the last few weeks to confirm the return with no reply.

Must have gone out of business.

I’ve been trying to contact them for 3 weeks to process a refund and nobody responds to email or via their website form. I would suggest you do not buy anything and go to a more well known store instead, there’s a reason why it’s cheaper. Going to have to try going through my credit card to get refund now!

My wife placed an order for a coat. Had it returned and has not received a refund or any communications from them. Despite sending multiple support tickets and call attempts. Zero contact from mad about mountains and still waiting on the refund amount of £150. Terrible customer service and totally unprofessional.

Seems this company have now shut down. Sent a return back after communicating with them Feb 5th, just received the parcel back on 23rd. Annoying as the product was a defect so can’t even wear or sell on now.
No answer at their phone number or email and Royal Mail says they’re no longer at the address.
Shame because while they were still replying it was good communication.

1 star is generous.... I ordered a rab jacket and was delivered no problem, sizing was off so payed for a returns label and that's where its all gone belly up. Used the tracking and it Said nobody to take delivery, emailed numerous times and just got an automated reply. Phone just ringing out at both stores. I've just had my return returned back to me with a sticker on saying addressee gone away. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

Purchased some Rab Ascendor AS pants from the website, they came in good time but are faulty the seam on the crotch has come unstitched within 3 weeks and only been work 3 times.
Emailed sales but no answer, messaged on Facebook and Instagram page but no answer but i can see they have seen my messages and no body answers the phone
Absolutely useless company

Something is "off" about this company. I bought two sizes of Rab jacket. Returned the one that didn't fit to the address on the resturns form. It has been returned "addressee no longer at address" at Kirby Stephen. And now no response when I try to phone or email. The owner Gavin McMillan is also not responding. I can see me having to end up driving to the Unit.

I returned my parcel with 1st class Royal mail signed for service on 10/02/24. When I tracked my parcel, turned out that the Recipient in no longer at the the address unit 21, Wild Boar, St. Luke's Road, Kirkby Stephen, CA17 4HT. I tried to contact them more then 30 times, but no one answered the phone. No reply to my emails.....

bought item too big returned via royal mail at own cost not received refund and now parcel returned by royal mail saying address on returns pdf given has gone away. Also sent email and nor reply. Tried phone and just constantly rings beware of this company. Will resort to legal action to get compensation.

As per other recent reviews it looks like this company has closed down and although their website is still up it isn't accepting orders (no payment method available). I returned a jacket last week which Royal Mail couldn't deliver (according to Track & Trace). I submitted an online query to the store last week and tried calling them today - no answer in both cases. Hopefully the item will be returned to me by Royal Mail but if not and as I paid by credit card and the cost was over £100 I hope to claim a refund from the credit card provider under Chargeback or Section 75 For the reviewer who was asking what to do next have a look at the Money Saving Expert website and search for Section 75.
