I recently purchased a Makita DAB+…

I recently purchased a Makita DAB+ MR007G site radio. It is pretty much useless. It has a number of preset sound settings, all of which have way too base. Thankfully, thee is a user setting, so you can dial some of the base out, but it is still not good. I can't get a single station on FM and the DAB stations are intermittent. Even domestic lights seem to interfere with what signal I can get. It is pathetic. Don't buy!

Purchased a radio before Xmas which failed within a month sent it back to makita .
It just seem there not in a rush to get it back to me or to let me know what's going on .
Would have been better to give me a refund rather than wait this long .
I definitely won't be purchasing anything from makita again

It absolutely sickens me to give a 1 ⭐️…

It absolutely sickens me to give a 1 ⭐️ for the makita AF353 Pinner, (or should I say the 3 of them that I have had) these things in my opinion are absolute sh*te.
Gun 1
Had been firing great for about a week then started messing about (not firing pins) so I oiled it a bit more thinking this was the problem…no it wasn’t.
The pins then started to jam and not fire into 6mm mdf after releasing the jammed pins for the millionth time I took it back and got a replacement.

Gun 2
See above 👆🏻 (same as Gun 1)

Gun 3
See above 👆🏻 ( same as gun 1 and now Gun 2)

Gun 4
There will not be a gun 4 as I have now lost the will to live with these feckin guns, not only have I lost a lot of production time I have also lost a lot of time in my life of which I am not going to get back due to have make repairs and pull bent nails for the point of the guns 1,2&3

For the love of god and my sanity makita take this pile of dog sh*te gun off the market. Pleaseeeeeeeee

Bought a backpack leaf blower eb5300th…

Bought a backpack leaf blower eb5300th just over 3 years ago. Now on my 5th carburettor at £60 each. Customer service dragged their heals until the warranty was up, with excuse after excuse. Obviously there is a design flaw somewhere and I, the customer, is left with a piece of junk. Seriously, buy another brand there are plenty of options. Spend a bit more money and get something better.

A pleasant surprise!

My Makita battery lawn mower front axle broke after 2.5 years, so still under warranty. Knowing what Makita U.K. are like for customer services I was ready for a fight! I contacted the service/tech. department via email and within 4 days the part arrived and was fitted; I asked Makita if they would send the part to me, for me to fit, cheaper for them, easier for me. So well done Makita U.K.

W-T-F Makita?

You can call me a Makita fanboy I have spent thousands and thousands on Makita tools, but in recent years I haven't had a tool that didn't fail. I went all in when the XGT series came out and had to send a hummer drill 2-3 times for repair under warranty and an impact for the 3rd time now, I ended up buying another impact which is also having problems. W-T-F Makita?

Not even an acknowledgement.

I purchased a er2600 l strimmer in September. On opening the box I found bolts and a bracket for attaching the handle, missing. I emailed makita but did not even receive acknowledgement. What a shocking way to go about business. So much for quality control

Makita Mower DLM432 CT2. FAILURE

Makita Mower DLM432 CT2.

Bought FFX Folkestone ebay 15 June 2023 £375.03

Failed August 1 2023 .. Front wheel broke off at the axle and went under into the blade.
Phoned FFX 01303852692. cannot help and gave me a phone number for Makita 01908211678.
ask for technical.

Spoke to Nicky ? .. Confusing online form for returning and packaging (a mower ?) and with what paperwork ?..

Easier option ? To take to nearest Makita dealer with invoice,
which is Lamberhurst Engineering 01892890364
Took on the 1st of August and spoke to Paul who was very helpful and explained that all warranty
work goes back to Makita.
Phoned 11th August .. no luck and Paul was on a day off and would call back.
Nothing heard by 12th September so phoned and spoke with Jason who said ready to collect !
Collected 12th September amid some confusion over warranty and invoicing, as seems that the warranty work was done onsite at the premises. However took home and have used once.
Hope there are no further issues as warranty is three years with Makita.

Beware if you expect Makita to stand by…

Beware if you expect Makita to stand by their products if they go faulty. I bought an expensive (£230.00) cordless drill and after 5 weeks the chuck went faulty. Makita won’t repair it under warranty. I find this astonishing, that they don’t have enough confidence in their products that they cover the whole drill. I wont be buying any more Makita products

Very poor service from Makita

Very poor service from Makita. I registered my drill for the 3 year warranty - after 17 months of light use the drill now has a fault, Makita customer services are trying everything they can to get out of repairing it. I’m an electrician and have a large range of Makita products, however I’ll now be switching over to Milwaukee as the quality is far superior.

the worst experience of my life

the worst experience of my life !
there is a guarantee , well , you can shove yourself into a point !
there is a broken product and a receipt ! instead of saying where to leave it , they give a link with their dealer stores , then offer to issue a form in the box after filling out the same thing again .
as a result, two weeks have passed, a lot of nerves , I have already thrown it in the trash .
in short, they scoff at the full program, I have never seen such trash anywhere, tin.

MLS100N mitre saw

Purchased a MLS100N mitre saw. First use doing a normal 90 degree angle and it caught a fence guard. Had followed the instructions, and wasn't trying to do any kind of compound cut and had checked everything. Shards of metal flew everywhere. Spoke to the builders merchants where I bought it and they said it should never have happened. But Makita they are telling me it was user error and charging me almost the cost of the saw to put it right. All of our tools have been Makita and I've always been a huge advocate of them - but first time with a problem and feel very let down. Very dangerous and very disappointed!

Bought an open tool tote model E-05430 as I have had 2 previous totes before unfortunately They have changed the internals completely. Where there was pockets there’s just bits of elastic no large internal pocket on the end anymore. The large metal strap clips have been replaced with plastic. Overall a poor design from Makita. Don’t get me wrong I have many Makita power tools with 0 problems but I think this is a fine example of not speaking to tradesmen..

Makita Rubbish Customer Service

Purchased a Makita Jigsaw model 4329 from Screwfix and then found that it had a missing guide but apparently you have to purchase that separately, omg?
It would be like buying a car only to find it doesn't come with the steering wheel or something like that.

So I emailed Makita to ask them why they don't supply the guide as well and they haven't even bothered to answer me back!

I'm sorry but I would have thought company like Makita I would have done their upmost to address my concerns but instead they have ignored me entirely, not good at all.

So in future I will avoid purchasing their tools since you never know if you're going to get all the hardware and as for their customer service well that seems non existent, absolutely disgusting in my opinion!

I don't really enjoy leaving terrible reviews...however, I work in a trade / gardening sector. The makita pole hedge trimmer cost over €500 including battery and blades at top snapped after 6 months of non constant use. I also bought a makita battery which has a fault after around 10 months of use. No sign of warranty on battery as company selling it gone into liquidation. A pole hedge trimmer at that price should not break like that! Zero warranty cover. Unfortunately have to change brands...no other choice.

Useless warranty

Hi
I recently returned a 18v Makita multitool
As quite a few of the pins which hold the blades had snapped off.
The multitool was approx 9months old.
I was told not covered by warranty.
I have been a user of Makita for years but i will be changing brand from now on.
Any excuse not to repair.
If this was a £500 tool it would be more upsetting
Simon
