Mangopay urgent assistance required

Same as everyone here by the looks of it - Mangopay blocking withdrawal from my Vinted balance.

Been over 3 weeks of me trying.

Could someone on mangopay please try and help here. My money is £900 odd being withheld for no reason.

How long does it take to verify given I have already had my ID verified?

Pi$$ed off with Mangopay

As with everyone else on here, Mangopay are withholding my funds after selling items on Vinted. Apparently I'm being investigated. I've sent ID, proof of address, bank statement, utility bill. I am not laundering money, I'm selling my wardrobe, having a clear out. I have not made over £1000, so HMRC will not be interested. I am a British tax payer.
I wonder how much interest they are making with OUR money? 😤 🤬
P.S. I'm a Verified User too, so what is their problem?
It would be really nice to get some response from Mangopay.

Daylight robbery.

Same problem as everyone else here. Vinted claim they have wired me my money after selling an item on Vinted but I've received nothing. My bank say they can't get involved as nothing's gone into or left my account. Vinted keep ending my conversation and blocking every request I make to just find out what's happened to my money. Total daylight robbery.

Vinted and Mangopay illegally witholding money from it's clients

According to Vinted, Mangopay are preventing me from accessing my money. They blocked my account once I started selling, not buying, and only when I started to attempt to withdraw my money into my own bank account. This is surely fraud?? How are a finance company and money platform able to withhold funds without explanation? They have repeatedly requested I fill in the same form over and over again, they have repeatedly asked me for government issued I.D, I have sent it many times and in different forms and am answered in customer service chat by a bot, and it appears the same bot, or as Mangopay describe it, " A.I driven identity check technology", which it appears are the same superstars answering these negative reviews. I have one regret.
Not checking these reviews before selling so I am now telling everyone I can on every platform possible, not to sell on Vinted. 1 star is excessive.

Avoid using Vinted / Mangopay

I can’t believe they are getting away with this. My situation is very similar to the mentioned below.
I was using Vinted clearing my cupboard to pay some bills.

I had been withdrawing with no problem, then all of a sudden it stopped working, I had already verified my identity.

But this time I had to fill out a money laundering / fraud form. I filled it out and am yet to hear back.

I have chased up with Vinted and am not confident I am even getting a human response.

I would highly recommend avoiding them as they have kept my money for + 10 days for no given reason, no process highlighted and no timeline.

Re Mangopay response below - how long does this take? Currently been 2 weeks I haven’t been able to withdraw any money - despite already having ID verified.

UPDATE - STILL NOT RESOLVED @MANGOPAY - WHY ARE SOME BEING RESOLVED HERE BUT MINE STILL HAS NOT OVER 3 WEEKS NOW!

Disgraceful

I withdrew my Vinted balance to my bank account on the 16th of April and I still haven't received the funds 10 days on. Supplied all documentation to the Vinted help centre and they gave me an end-to-end ID as proof from the payment provider but my bank are not able to trace this as it's an automatic payment and doesn't require pending. Extremely disheartening as the funds have seamlessly vanished into thin air.

Mangopay wake up!!!!!!!

So I am a seller on the platform Vinted. After a completed sale on 04.04.24 I pressed withdrawal of funds to my bank account. Guess what…? I got zero monies from Mangopay. So today 26.03.24 …I’m still waiting 🙈 When you join Vinted you become a “client” of their payment provider Mangopay but as their client I can’t talk directly to them about my missing funds? So I’ve contacted the FCA to support me with this second rate company… To all of you who are fighting this electronic payment provider log a complaint with FCA so they can make a visit to their main office and manage their policies so that they actually work. By the way Mangopay don’t be sending me no automated message or response as I have had a belly full of those. 💪🏻

Not trustworthy

For those who sell stuff on Vinted: Please be aware that Mangopay can randomly block your Vinted balance and prohibit you from using it for purchase or withdrawing it. They ask for documents such as bank statements but won’t guarantee any deadline to solve the issue. Don’t leave your money on Vinted.

For people who experience issues with Mangopay in the Netherlands, you can report to AFM.

Major problems accessing my money on Vinted

An awful company to deal with, held on to my money with Vinted for almost five weeks now and are still not responding to Vinted.
I tried to contact them directly, but that was ignored.
In future I will be avoiding any organisation that used this dreadful company.

Mangopay have now responded to me personally (see below) and released my funds,

Over 6 months and still no reimbursement

Have been waiting for over 6 months to get my 195€ vestiaire collective wallet reimbursed. Apparently Mangopay makes a lot of money by implementing reimbursement procedures that don’t work so as to not reimburse me from my money. 5 follow-up emails - no answer no action. What a fraud and a bad image for Vestiaire Collective as well. Where are the customer centric companies?

Mangopay is fraud

Seller on Vinted had to cancel my order.
Vinted is not refunding my money via Mangopay.
They told me mangopay already refunded me the money which isn't true. i lost about €34 euro's.
No items No money. Mangopay is a big fraud.

Try to be honest

Try to be honest, constructive here but we pushing the limit here as I am joining the others who have had a poor experience.

Let's get the usual copy paste responses that I will get from the review/support to refer me to FAQ page which I can copy paste here but it's noted several times below: under 'end-users' & sending email too support at mangopay.com.

Now that's out of the way.

All I request is a human element to be involved as clearly their software has a glitch. Got the usual ransom demand of sending verification documents as balance locked off until done. Modern day equivalent of 'Highway man' robbery, scam, hustle. My driver's licence expires in 2041, so unless I have been in a coma, it is 2024 so a few years shy. So kindly walk me through as to how this has expired. Vinted is not interested & I need to look further if you fall under FCC, as clearly operating as a financial institution in UK, you are registered but shouldn't have to work this hard. I have seen the registered number, as this will your response so best chip that in now. Before I contact the Ombudsman, I have to conclude the complaints process, which is hidden in a sea of text, but intentionally camouflage as I am frustrated with this process, but no choice. Let's sort this out as this is an opportunity to improve things as there is flaw in the system that needs exploring & fixing with a software patch.

A true test of customer service is when things go wrong, who steps into the arena to fix it, so support chums, resolve this as a human touch is required as my earnings from Vinted sales are blocked.

I’m a regular Vinted user

I’m a regular Vinted user, and I buy and sell on the platform. Mango pay is what you want from a payment provider, transactions are so seamless you don’t have to think about it. I had a refund from a seller recently, and that was also seamless.

THIEVING COMPANY

Disgusting company. Placed an order through Vinted which was cancelled immediately by them, however the money still came out of my account. Now they will not refund me, saying that MangoPay are responsible for the money. They are nothing but THIEVES and I have now had to dispute the transaction through my bank in order to get my money back.

SCAM COMPANY COMMITTING

Fraud of a company

Same issues as everyone else below with regards to Vinted. Without warning my account spending was frozen as Mangopay ‘investigated’ (after requesting all of my personal details like passport, bank statements etc) it has now been 2 months and I have heard nothing, with my money (£1000+) still sitting there unable to be withdrawn.

Mangopay are an AWFUL service provider and I can’t believe a platform as big as Vinted have chosen to use their service. They have upset many loyal customers.
