MangoPay rejects official documents and takes my money

I’ve been with Vinted for at least 3 years, I never had an issue, every time I was asked for KYC verification I passed it. But 4 months ago it said it got passed correctly but I couldn’t transfer the money from the wallet to my bank account, all my transfers failed. I asked Vinted many times and they provided to MangoPay the extra documents they asked me for, yet those many times MangoPay answered always the same “they’re not valid” I literally showed them a residency proof signed by the Townhall and the official government. I reached MangoPay on email and they take the piss, they answer every 10 days and come back with 0 solution denying official documents, this goes against the EU law. I will report you if you don’t unblock my wallet and give me my money.

Poor Overall Service

Slow payments, hidden charges and lousy customer service. Not recommended at all. Other services are ahead by miles. It's a rotten mango. Avoid even if there are no other options left.

Hello, dear Mangopay team, I am unable to withdraw the balance from Vinted.

Hello, dear Mangopay team, I am unable to withdraw the balance in my Vinted account. I submitted two utility bills. The first time, the Vinted team replied that Mangopay was functioning normally. The second time, Vinted asked me to submit again, but they informed me that the proof was invalid. Up to now, my balance money cannot be withdrawn, which has seriously affected my daily expenses. Could you please advise me on what to do?

Unlawfully holding my Vinted money and rejecting my VALID documents

Signed my business up for a Vinted Pro account a few months ago. I was asked for verification documents to prove my business was active and genuine. These were accepted immediately and I was able to sell.

Sales did well, and I was able to withdraw money after a few weeks in line with Vinted Pro’s T&Cs, and had no issues whatsoever.

Made nearly £500 worth of sales this month (July) and have been trying to withdraw the available £400 for just over a week now. Suddenly I need to verify my business again.

I have uploaded umpteen documents in line with what’s being requested and all have been rejected with no explanation as to why. Just being told to upload the same documents I’ve uploaded a number of times already.

I’ve got bills to pay that are now going to be late. And already incurring overdraft fees to cover others. Mangopay are unlawfully holding this money for no valid reason.

Vinted Support are no help either. I will no longer be selling on Vinted until they change their payment provider away from these scammers. AVOID

PEP what?

Having a declutter & decided to pop our pre-loved clothes up for sale on Vinted. Managed to sell a lot, decided to withdraw the funds only to discover that there's a block, Vinted asked us to complete a PEP which we have done but still no response - have we lost this money?
Has anyone contacted anyone higher?

Vinted and MangoPay are partners in crime!

Tried multiple times to pass the verification steps. Supplied my drivers licence and passport many many times. All photos have met the requirements but have still been rejected. Contacted vinted customer services several times who are absolutely useless. They told me to contact MangoPay who told me it’s not their problem and to contact vinted. They are now holding my money and i have no way of accessing it. Shocking. Complete fraud.

Mangopay and Vinted Scam

Well it seems like Mangopay is one big scam along side Vinted. I sold on one account, they I tried to withdraw £70 and it said I need ID which I do not have so I want to still sell so I opened another account (I did not no u are only allowed one account) until I sort out the issue on the first account and within a month once again I can not withdraw on the new account. I been on Vinted rubbish customer service and told them multiple times I do not have a passport or driving licence so they come back with you can upload, student ID, bus pass and bank statements and i provided this but than they could back saying the scam Mangopay will only accept passport or Driving licence basically needs something with my date of birth, name and photo so I was going to buy a ID card as this is a void ID in the UK but still no. What a scam, they are not a bank they are basically like PayPal so ID should just be something simple like a bank statement. It like they are trying to steal your money. I will email them directly and try to get my money and just shut down the accounts, as Vinted is way to stressful and they wonder why they can not compete with eBay.

Vinteds mangopay shambles/scam

Like all the other reviewers, I foolishly sold an item for £18, having happily purchased a number of items previously without any issues. I’m now being treated like a suspected criminal, with politically motivated actions. I’ve been advised about ten times by the Vinted bots that my account is locked, despite providing my drivers licence images and passing that verification. I’m tempted to write off the £18, set up a new Vinted account and only ever purchase items. What a shambles!!!!

Partners in crime with Vinted!

**Little update,I got my money today by being a relentless nuisance to them for weeks. Bombard them with complaints and messages to Vinted and MangoPay till they’ve had enough of you**
They finally accepted the Webfiling document and cleared what they owe 💪🏻.

I would advise anyone having similar issues with these crooks to bombard their emails with your complaint and Commence an official one with the Financial ombudsman,Trading standards and report them for scamming via companies house.
You are legally obliged to have them investigated before you can get a court order for removal of funds with a bailiff/Collection agent.
I cannot upload their emails unfortunately but Vinteds legal@ and mangopays complaint.management@ are the ones you want.

If you can avoid selling on Vinted and being associated with Mangopay UK Ltd avoid like the plague!.
Do not sign up for a Pro account on Vinted as it’s just an excuse to hold your money for 14 days no difference at all.
They are renowned for blocking and suspending people for selling excessive quantities as they are a bargain basement platform like a cheap market. This will cause you serious issues with their friends @ MongoPay
I now have to battle them for approx £800 which will result in debt collection with bailiffs.

***My advise to all those people in the same boat with these crooks is to make an Ombudsman complaint which you will need to pursue them for debt recovery with someone like “Can’t pay we’ll take it away”. A flurry of complaints from the ombudsman and several bailiffs collecting debts will get someone’s attention****

Dreadful experience with Mangopay

Dreadful experience with Mangopay, after a couple of years of successful selling on Vinted now they won’t accept any documents you upload to for KYC. I feel like they aren’t geared for sole traders on there, they don’t understand the documents you send, they certainly don’t understand the fact that you only receive an annual statement from HMRC, so yes it’s over three months old when they asked for it in April - Statement dated December. It’s absolutely shocking and I’ll be reporting them to Watchdog

Tried to get this resolved time and time again just keep getting same response with no explanation as to why.
Looking to go to Ombudsman and make a formal complaint😞
