I had edited a manuscript for them. However, I have not been informed if the work done by me has been accepted. Forget about the payment for my work. I don't believe they even pay their editors. Avoid working on their projects. I have written multiple emails to them regarding it. They don't even reply to them.

I strongly do NOT recommend Manuscriptedit. They use AI-generated content, which was flagged during the article screening stage by one of the journals. My research article was rejected multiple times, and I eventually realized this was the reason. Also, there is an issue with timelines commitment as well. No one cares your deadlines. Please be mindful about these. I have a Turnitin AI detection report that I can share with Manuscriptedit if required.

The work environment is extremely demotivating. Constructive feedback is nonexistent, and favoritism is rampant. Employees are overworked and constantly micromanaged with no room for creativity or autonomy. There’s no concept of work-life balance — you're expected to be available all the time.
3. Delayed and Uncertain Salary Payments
One of the biggest red flags — salaries are often delayed without any prior notice. There’s zero accountability from the finance or HR team. This causes unnecessary stress and financial difficulties for employees who rely on their monthly pay checks.
4. No Real HR Support
The HR department is ineffective and unresponsive. Employee concerns — be it about salary, workload, or harassment — are often ignored or brushed aside. Rather than being a support system, HR acts as a mouthpiece for upper management.

8. High Attrition Rate
Here the attrition is the targeted policy. Employees get terminated not for lack of performance rather due to ego clash with the management's also means frequent disruptions in teams and project continuity.

The leadership lacks vision, the management is indifferent to employee well-being, and the structure is chaotic at best. 1. False Promises & Bait-and-Switch Tactics

Before payment, I was assured that my manuscript would be reviewed by two experts—one in evolutionary biology and one in quantum biology—due to the highly interdisciplinary nature of my work. ManuscriptEdit explicitly confirmed that two experts would be assigned.

However, after payment, they quietly switched to a single-expert review without informing me, despite my clear requirement. When I raised this concern, they backpedaled, claiming that a dual-expert review was never part of the service, despite prior email evidence to the contrary.

2. Subpar Review Quality & Lack of Expertise

Not only did they fail to provide the promised dual-expert review, but the single reviewer they assigned lacked expertise in quantum biology—one of the core areas of my manuscript. Their feedback heavily focused on evolutionary biology, with superficial, dismissive comments on the quantum aspects of my research, demonstrating that the reviewer was not qualified to evaluate the full scope of my work.

3. Delayed Delivery & Excuses for Poor Service

They initially guaranteed a 10-12 business day turnaround but exceeded the deadline without prior notice. Instead of providing a higher-quality review to justify the delay, the review was generic and lacked depth.

When I pointed out these deficiencies, they claimed my expectations had "evolved"—which is completely false. My expectations remained exactly as discussed before payment. Their only response was to upsell additional paid services, claiming that a proper interdisciplinary review would require "collaborative editing" for an extra fee—something they never disclosed upfront.

4. Refusal to Take Accountability & Avoiding Responsibility

When I confronted them with email evidence showing their bait-and-switch tactics, they stopped responding. After multiple attempts to escalate the matter to a manager or higher authority, they continued to ignore my concerns and refused to issue a refund despite clear breaches of service terms.

They hid behind vague policies and even implied that leaving a negative review could constitute "reputational harm"—a concerning and unethical stance from a supposed academic service provider.

5. Untrustworthy Business Practices

If you value transparency, integrity, and accountability, I strongly advise against using ManuscriptEdit. Their business model appears to rely on misleading assurances to secure payment, only to downgrade services post-purchase and pressure customers into paying more.

Very responsive team and satisfied with the work done

They took the whole amount. No commitment to deadlines and very unprofessional. I wouldn't suggest their services. I have given work for editing as per journal preference. They couldn't do it 😭. If you want to Publish in Scopus go to Scopus Indexed Conference and present their it will take time but surely do the work. They charge 75 k per research paper but did not give delivery. I am yet awaiting edited book that I have written myself but no delivery. This is Scam do not fall in their trap. Do yourself editing. They charged 2.5 lakhs for editing and book review and I received no draft yet. I feel being Extorted for money

Like other low grade players, the sales person will put sugar coated words and hype as if they will make your paper best in the world. Once you pay, starts the trauma
- You will ask many times to get an update.
- The work is substandard
- The writers are all Indian in experienced PhD pursuing students ( so imagine)
- They don't pay to writers ( one of them literally asked me money)
Forget about recommendation,I feel guilty and shy about myself. Why I took service from them? I mean, you exploit both your people and clients too.

Bad experience. Very slow and unresponsive over email, even after multiple follow-ups. I paid in full for the Writing + Publication Package and was promised quick publication with a delivery date in June. Even after more than three months, the publication is still pending, and now there are no responses to emails. Now, I can't submit my paper elsewhere, and my hard-earned money is down the drain as well. It has adversely affected my research work as well. Very, very bad service. Not recommended.

It is a fraudulent company that asks for extra money and does not refund the money later, even though I sent the documents in advance. Please marshals stay away. They work very, very slow. It takes 2-3 weeks to send to a journal...
The last one I sent was sent without even looking at the similarity rate...
