A very sad farewell
I wanted to leave a review as a past customer because I'm gutted that Marriner Yarns have gone into liquidation. I've bought their wool & patterns for decades (and so did my Mum). Ordering from the website was always easy, and the turnaround was fast. I hope we haven't lost another british company to cheap imports. Once it's gone, we can't get it back. So sad.
Love this wool
Love this wool . Knitting lots for my great grandson. Lots of beautiful colours and knits up well
Was the best place for wool
Ordering always was easy and good delivery and fantastic prices was very sad to find out that they have now gone into liquidation 😪
Disappointing/Let Downs/Theives
I've used Marriner Yarns for a very long time. No problems at all until December 2022.
Different orders placed. Nothing received. No replies to calls or emails.
Website gone.
Phone number gone.
Looks like they have done a runner.
I'm out of pocket, no Christmas gifts finished. I'll have no birthday gifts for Jan 2023, Feb 2023 and March 2023.
Also all the charity blackets I've agreed to knit.... nothing.
What a let down.
Why take our money and Run?????
Amazing!
Ive been using marriner yarns for a little while now as ive starting getting into looming blankets. Ive got to say, your yarn is great quality and very good value for money and also decent shipping time. I also love the wide range of colours and patterns you offer. Im trying to make fluffy blankets for everyone this winter so I will be ordering more yarn soon!
Terrible customer service.
Customer service is awful when there is a problem. Initially I thought the self-striping sock yarn was reasonable quality for the price, but when I encountered a problem, customer service was non existent. There should not be any joins in self striping yarn, but one ball had 4 joins, with no attempt to match the stripes, and one section was from a different dye lot, and wound backwards. This is completely unacceptabe in terms of quality, but, because the first half of the ball was fine, I had already knitted one sock. Customer service demanded I send the whole ball back rather than just the faulty section, or I would have to pay for a replacement. Sent them the lot back and finally got a refund after chasing.
Avoid.

I love marriners yarns
I love marriners yarns, so much choice, I have used this company for years, I like the buttons and toy stuffing, mum liked the easy grip crochet hook, ideal as she suffers with oestoartheritis, DK wool is excellent, I will always shop with them, customer service great, great prices for me as I knit a lot of items.
Yarn is poor quality
Yarn is poor quality, lots of knots , blocking the knitting machine . And they don't have a customer care policy, parcel not received and no explanation provided. If you want your yarn in time, please avoid using your company .

Marriner Yarns is absolutely amazing. I had a problem with my order and they sorted it out so fast. They are great value, and now I won't buy from anywhere else. If you love knitting or crochet get ordering your yarn here.

Very pleased
Very pleased with service from Marriner, they have an excellent choice of colours, i have used both DK and Chunky wool, both knit up lovely, prices are excellent and delivery times are very good, an added bonus is a small packet of sweets included with each parcel

Excellent service with good quality yarns, and a choice of lovely colours..
Ignorant customer service
Making garments by hand takes a lot of time. Unfortunately Marriner's customer service were extremely unhelpful via email. I doubt they actually crochet or knit themselves. When enquiring about particular yarns I was treated like an idiot. The yarns are cheaper which reflects in the rough texture. Save up your pennies and buy better quality from somewhere with manners and a knowledge of craftsmanship.
Amazing service.
Have used Marriner Yarns for years. Great choice of yarns, great quality and easy to order. Delivery usually takes 2-3 days, so quick. Only once there was a mishap with my order, and got through to customer service immediately and they rectified immediately, and also compensated me with an extra ball of wool. I have also had a couple of queries and wanted to add extra to my order, and they went above and beyond to meet my needs. They also rear and use their own sheep. Brilliant company.
To knit or not to knit
I have always bought yarn from Marriner’s and have been happy with the quality, but unfortunately not with my last two order’s, problem being one ball of yarn had 4 joining knots in it and another ball had 3 .
According to customer services this sometimes can happen, well it’s not acceptable to me, I pay for a ball of yarn that isn’t made up of ends put together, it’s very frustrating knitting with knots that need to be snipped out and rejoined. Marriner rave about their quality, and awards , so need to make sure that’s what they are selling to the customer. Even Aldi wool is of a better spun quality. I will be going elsewhere from now on to buy my yarn.

Great quality yarns and accessories at amazing prices... my only disappointment is the circular knitting needles have always been out of stock when I've checked :( ... I love the super chunky yarn, and the £1 balls are fantastic value. Price for p&p is VERY reasonable and delivery was fast (even during this corona crisis.) I would definitely recommend marriner yarns.
