It is a great program, and the whole team delivers quite well. I covered all the objectives i had with the course.

Great community atmosphere to learn and grow together with supportive industry professionals.
My mentor was awesome and my confidence in my work grew massively with all the help and talks offered.

The tutors made learning QA so interesting, before going into the bootcamp i knew nothing about QA, but learning from professionals in the industry and having the access to be able to get 1-1’s with the tutors really helped me a ton, after and during the bootcamp alot of doors had opened up to me that I didn’t think were possible, all thanks to Mastered and my tutors

I completed a QA course that was 16 weeks long through mastered after graduating uni. It gave me much more of an insight within QA than my degree initially gave me and I was able to learn so much more on a more intimate setting as the classes weren’t that big!

It truly was a great experience that I would recommend to everyone and anyone! With it being apart of the department of education I was able to be funded for the whole course! Extremely luckily and look forward to putting it to use within my future job!

I enrolled on the QA Tester bootcamp, as it was an endorsed method of retraining into a new career. Oh boy.
+The group was friendly.

-The entry was "a really difficult puzzle that over 90% of people get wrong". It was spot the difference, that was about primary level that my nephew could have passed with no issues.
-It was literally just someone reading a PDF twice a week to you, then telling you to fill in an spreadsheet.
-Zero 1-2-1s or feedback.
-Most people had their cameras off all the time.
-One woman had family issues and damn, she was uploading her "work" at like 2am and I can't help but feel she in particular has wasted her time.
-Since ending the course, the only contact I have from them is a monthly "are you employed yet?" or the odd Zoom call that's usually in the middle of the day, and I've found very little content from these that'll help me.
-The biggest scam is their "interview". About 3/4 of the way through you're told it's a mock interview, the studio isn't actually hiring and that's it, it's a box tick to get funding from the DFE. My interviewer openly admitted they've got no QA roles or have any intention of hiring QA in the future so I'm not sure why it was even arranged in the first place?
-On top of that, despite asking both Mastered and the studio for interview feedback, I've had nothing.
-Applications I've sent off to studio who have done these Q&A Zoom slots, interestingly, a couple were really quite rude about the course and effectively said I had wasted my time.
-Gaming has been through a horrible amount of layoffs, so we were told to pivot. Answer? Just code. I have no code experience? Just learn to code. They want 2-3years +? Just code and get a job.
-Another example of "pivoting" was posting a link to a "Community Manager" based page of roles, all for various discord Crytotypes and massively out of date.

Do this course if you're bored.
Don't do this course if you expect any sort of support, job, communication or interest in your learning.

I had an amazing experience with Mastered, I learned a lot during the 16 weeks bootcamp in 3D real-time technologies. I have particularly appreciated the weekly 1-1 session with my mentor and the monthly creative challenges. The community is also very active on Slack. Highly recommended.

Best choice I’ve ever made, hated current job, then found this QA course I’ve done with them, 3 months of course learned all about the job. Few months later had a job in the field and my life was changed!

The skills and confidence this course helped me gain have got me a full time job in the games industry. The tutors are lovely and extremely helpful. Talking from thier own experiences and supporting alongnthe way to get a job in our desired fields.

I was a coder before joining the bootcamp for games programming but had never worked with a game engine before. Through the mentoring and creator challenges I learned so much and met some great people with the same goal as me.
The bootcamp secured me two interviews and while I didn't land either job they were amazing experience and I was able to get myself a role as a junior gameplay programmer shortly after.

A great experience on the funded games bootcamp. Learned a lot, beyond just the games industry, practical tasks helped me build skills in completing projects with tight turnover for tasks I had limited prior knowledge in. Careers skills helped me find and tap into the hidden job market. The included interview was useful only as a practice, have already given feedback about this area for improvement, however I found for myself a role progressing within IT where undoubtedly the skills learned helped me ace the interview.

I had an excellent experience with the Mastered bootcamp - 1-1 mentoring allowed me to receive targeted feedback to improve my portfolio, as well as fun and useful creator challenges, interview and career sessions challenged me to develop crucial hard and soft skills. You will benefit from this most if you have a clear idea on what you want to achieve, but need some extra support and guidance in the right direction from qualified professionals in the industry. I managed to land my first job in the games industry soon after finishing the course, so I would definitely recommend it.

I had an amazing time at mastered. I learned alot of great skills, talked to people in the industry and got a job. You need to be willing to switch to the games industry and give it 110% of effort. If you don't your only going to fail yourself.

Tailored and straightforward approach to training. The QA bootcamp was really fun and everyone in the group we had was fantastic. Ludo and Adam were excellent tutors and helped me get the confidence to absolutely smash a job interview with PlayStation! If you have no experience with QA or if you have some like me and want to brish up on skills, mastered is the place to go for sure!

When I started the QA course I was a little skeptical, you see all these different course where you gain nothing but I will tell you this course is different. You learn a lot in a short amount of time and the tutors are brilliant it doesn't seem like just another paycheck for these guys they enjoy their job. Ludo and Adam they are great tutors who can have a laugh and joke to make the sessions not drag but still get the job done 100% would and have recommended mastered to people.

I would 100% recommend Mastered to anyone transitioning to a career in Real Time. I was lucky to find two wonderful persons and mentors such as Hrishi and Quintus. When at a certain point I decided to focus more on Unreal rather than Unity, Adil (the founder) didn't hesitate a minute and the following week I was paired with a UE mentor. Stephen (the head of careers) is an excellent motivator, and would be always there for all sort of advice even after you landed the job. You will find people with all sort of backgrounds and purposes, and that will reveal itself the single most enriching part of joining Mastered.

Mastered 3D provides you with a community of like-minded individuals, industry professionals, workshops, sucess managers, work coaches and life coaches. There are regular meetings with your technical mentor to help you through your project and every four weeks workshops over two months to help you identify your strengths, weakness, values and priorities. Every four weeks in between, you'll be sharing and presenting what you have achieved and getting feedback from your groups and mentors. These two months were vital for me. I learnt helpful work techniques and strategies, which helped me move into the remote work environment ideal for me. I had some coaching sessions with a fantastic person who helped me reflect on my thoughts to be more productive in the future. My mentor was great at giving me direction on what to learn. If you think they'll hand you a step-by-step guide on learning the material, this is not the course for you. A huge part of getting into this competitive industry is being able to learn things for yourself. These were precisely the skills I felt were being developed with my technical mentor, who built me up from the baseline I had achieved. They were also able to provide me with good indstury practices and share their experiences with me.
You must be willing to put in the effort to get the most out of this Bootcamp. You will get the most out of it if you can make time for your own learning. You have access to ask for suppourt but the ideas and content you create will be your own or the teams you form. The comunity access you get is like a remote work enviroment.

Joining the bootcamp was the right choice for changing my career. It was a constant challenge every day, learning new things and perfecting techniques that I had already acquired in the past and that could be useful for my future job. I learned a lot both technically and job hunting wise, and this would not have been possible without the amazing mentors

In overall Mastered Training Course didn't met my expectations and awareness to get a job in time.
Feels more like "doing yourself everything", and low structured guidance on mentor behalf. Skipped the part of how portfolio should be build and what to include according to desired targeted job role. So as specific set of tasks that meant to be accomplished in certain period of time in order to get job ready.
Frankly speaking not professional approach in mentors behalf, when saying that start looking for a job, when portfolio wasn't still ready to showcase. So transition from creator phase to job search phase was totslly messed up.
More like figure it out by yourself!Watch some YouTube videos e.t.c. And if some question need to be asked, waiting for up to one week.
Afterall, this course is oriented to help individuals get a job. But not feels that it's like that in practice so far. At least this is my case and its obvious how others struggling as well.
Was expecting more involvement from mentor side, sharing job related info resources that aren't freely available to everyone via Google search. Like hidden companies job openings, with whom they are in partnership e.t c. As a result struggling to find a work without any support. So in the end the question is, what I should pay for?Is this course really worth of what they asking?Does mentorship performed efficient enough?

This is a truly fantastic course; it has been such an exhilarating experience for me & I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to any of my colleagues in the film & TV industry who are looking to branch out into this exciting new frontier of real-time 3D CG. Rest assured that you have here a genuinely happy customer here, who feels like the boot camp has been a truly worthwhile investment! What I wanted most of all was to increase my knowledge of how to use Unreal Engine 5 and meet like-minded people with different areas of expertise & I got all of that in spades. The amount of effort, care & attention to detail that has gone into making this course did not go unnoticed & I can see why I was referred to Mastered as the best place to go to learn about using real-time 3D technology. I feel like I have come out of this with more than I expected going in; having developed interests in things like blueprints & optimisation that I might have previously ignored due to their prosaic appearance. Its a testament to the impeccable tuition that I now find myself revelling in these abstract frameworks. C++ here I come! I have also made some good friends along the way through the group sessions that extended outside of the course -& most importantly felt like I was part of a community for the first time in a long while. Personally, I feel like the only thing more valuable than knowledge is time & the Bootcamp made sure that every second of it was well spent. Make no mistake - they work you hard so this is not for someone with a mere passing interest in Unreal, keep your schedule clear! There is a colossal difference between following youtube tutorials and having a team of experts create a bespoke educational pathway tailored to your learning style & that's why its costs money. Read the small print before committing to any repayment plans - I found that paying in a lump sum worked out much more favourably and would highly recommend having the money in the bank before you jump in. I have learned so much more in the last six months with Mastered than I have in the previous 3 years of dabbling in Unreal & feel incredibly grateful to have found such a first-class organisation to facilitate my personal development. It's possibly the best gift I have ever given to myself as it has revitalised my passion for learning & interest in developing technologies at a time when things were beginning to feel stale. Thank you Mastered, you most definitely did not disappoint.

The one-on-one mentoring sessions with an experienced Unity developer were extremely useful. Even as someone with lots of programming knowledge, there was still a whole load of game-specific technology, terms, and programming paradigms I had never heard of and just knowing about them gave me the ability to pick them up and learn about them quickly.
