Delivery issues
I placed the order ok but hadn't had an email regarding delivery. I had to chase this up and was told Royal Mail had tried to deliver the parcel. I had received no comminication from Royal Mail and i didn't receive a card through the door. This may not be the fault of Mastershoe but it did affect how i felt about the process.

We did send your despatch email on 10th August with the tracking details, which was confirmed as received. Unfortunately, Royal Mail no longer always leave a red card following an attempted delivery and often rely on customers checking the tracking page for the latest updates on their items. Emails are only sent by Royal Mail for our items when customers have signed up to receive them. We completely understand how the lack of notification from Royal Mail affected your overall experience and will feed this back to them.

Quality product at a good price
Quality product at a good price. Happy with the fit and look of my North Face Hedgehog GTX walking shoes. This is my second time buying from Mastershoe, having previously got a pair of Keen's.
My only concern is that the box arrived in a plastic bag, and was damaged/compressed on the corners. If I had needed to return the item would I have had an issue? Their returns policy states - "Returns with damaged or defaced boxes may be refused or incur a charge at our discretion" Just a thought!

I am very sorry that the shoe box suffered some damage in transit. Please rest assured that courier damage like this would not affect your right to return the shoes, and we would never penalise a customer for damage caused during delivery.
The wording in our returns policy is intended to cover situations where labels or tape have been attached directly to the branded shoe box rather than the box being repackaged for return, as this can unfortunately mean it can no longer be re-sold as new.
Having checked the wording, though, I completely appreciate how it could be interpreted differently, so we have now amended the information on our returns page to make this clearer.
