feels like a scam to me the fact that i sign up to check this service out and suddenly i add people and songs i NEVER HEARD ABOUT and that i actually don't like at all to my playlists!!! Which are even personal ones that only I myself follow! SO i guess this service is pretending they do something for you but they only add your songs to personal playlists without the owner consent!!! SO STRANGE. so be aware, and because of that i dont trust dealing with them for any other thing.

Good morning, I'm Carola
We would like to clarify that Matchfy does not hack or access Spotify accounts in any unauthorized way.

To use our platform as a curator, you must log in via Spotify using Spotify’s official API, which gives limited permissions strictly controlled by Spotify itself. We do not have access to your login credentials, nor can we make changes to your playlists without your authorization.

It’s important to note that:

When a user connects their Spotify account, our system may automatically activate the "Auto AI Tool", which is designed to help curators accept or reject tracks based on compatibility scores.

This tool can result in automatic additions of tracks to playlists if it is not manually disabled. However, it can be turned off at any time by going to the “Playlists” section of your dashboard and clicking the blue percentage box next to each playlist.

All of this is explained in the platform's Tutorial section and Terms of Use, which users accept upon registration.

We completely understand your concern and would be happy to assist you in reviewing or disabling the tool. Also, if your Spotify account was connected unintentionally, we can delete all associated data and disconnect your account immediately — just contact us directly on the support

Matchfy is used by thousands of curators and artists worldwide, and we take security and transparency extremely seriously.
If you're open to it, we’d like to resolve this with you directly and ensure your account is secure and properly configured.

Sincerely,
The Matchfy Team

WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY

Avoid this site; it is completely useless and a total waste of time and money. Despite charging a high annual subscription fee, you are still forced to submit your tracks to Spotify playlists manually and simply hope for acceptance.

The entire process is tedious and repetitive. The system doesn't track your history, so every new search forces you to sift through the same playlists you’ve already applied to. Furthermore, the genre filtering is broken; when searching for specific genres like Metal, the results are often completely irrelevant, showing Hip-Hop or Reggaeton instead. To make matters worse, they lock "Pro" playlists behind an additional paywall, claiming they offer better matching for an extra fee.

SAVE YOUR MONEY AND AVOID THIS SERVICE.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, even though we’re disappointed to read how negative your experience has been. We care a lot about transparency with artists, so we want to clarify several points where your description does not reflect how Matchfy actually works.

First, Matchfy is not a “pay to get on playlists” or “auto‑submission” service, and it never promises guaranteed placements. Our platform analyzes your track using Spotify data and audio features, then shows you playlists where there is a real stylistic and audience match so you can contact curators directly and ethically. Manual outreach is a deliberate choice: no serious service can or should force independent curators to add songs, because that would violate Spotify’s rules and hurt artists in the long term.

Regarding your comment that the site is “completely useless” and “a total waste of time and money”: thousands of artists and curators use Matchfy every month, and the service is consistently rated positively on independent review platforms, which shows that many users do find value and real results when the tool is used as intended. That does not invalidate your frustration, but it is important context: your experience is not representative of how the platform works for most users.

You also mention that the genre filter is “broken” and that searches for Metal return Hip‑Hop or Reggaeton playlists. Our matching system relies both on how tracks and playlists are tagged and on their actual audio characteristics; when tags on Spotify are vague or misleading, mismatches can occur, and we are continually refining the algorithm and filters to reduce these cases. If you can share the specific track and searches you ran, we can investigate those results in detail and correct any issues on our side.

On pricing: there is always a way to use Matchfy, while paid subscriptions unlock extra features such as access to playlists and more for the PRO, more advanced tools that are not “basic functionality” such as reaching out to Professionals in the music Industry to get real time feebacks.
We value your feedback and kindly ask you to reach out to us via support chat.

bad quality

A part of the aspect of the user experience and technical setup that I found particularly challenging occurred shortly after I joined the platform. Very early on, I became engaged in promoting my songs across multiple playlists. At that stage, however, I had not yet accepted specific terms related to playlist functionality, nor had I adjusted my profile settings — mainly because I was not aware that such configurations existed or fully understood their purpose.
To my surprise, some of my playlists began receiving songs that I had not personally reviewed or approved. It was only then that I realized that, upon joining the platform, all of my playlists were automatically made available to receive submissions from other users. This feature appeared to be enabled by default.
I must admit that this situation felt quite uncomfortable, as I had not consciously agreed to make my playlists openly accessible in this way. Once I understood what was happening, I located the relevant settings and deactivated the feature.
This experience also led me to reflect on the overall playlist ecosystem within the platform. The gamification mechanism, which appears to incentivize users to submit their songs to as many playlists as possible, may unintentionally encourage quantity over quality. From my perspective as both an artist and curator, this dynamic can affect the curation standards and artistic alignment that many of us seek to maintain.
Additionally, I noticed that every playlist to which I submitted my songs was automatically displayed on my public profile. As I was still learning how the platform worked, I had not anticipated this visibility. In order to reorganize my profile and remove playlists that were not aligned with my strategy, I temporarily deactivated my public profile on Spotify.
During this learning process, it was somewhat overwhelming to see submissions coming from artists whose musical styles were not aligned with the identity of my playlists. For me, this raises concerns about maintaining quality and coherence within curated spaces.
I share this feedback respectfully and with the intention of contributing to an improved user experience — especially for artists and curators who value thoughtful curation and strategic positioning.

In addition, I would like to share further observations that were not included in my previous email, particularly regarding the current user experience and the refinement of certain AI capabilities, which I have found to limit the accuracy and overall effectiveness.

On Menu Promote
- The fields Score, Followers, and Tracks do not always return accurate results when sorting the list, which affects the reliability of the search process.
Sometimes, the matching process remains in a continuous loading state and does not complete successfully.
- It is currently not possible to combine filters. For example, I would like to filter results with a score above 70% and more than 1,000 followers simultaneously.
- There is no option to save a customized view. For instance, I would prefer to hide certain metadata columns and keep that configuration as my default view, but each time the page refreshes, I need to manually reapply the same settings.
- There is no search or filtering option by country, which would be highly valuable for strategic targeting.
Regarding Genre Analysis: there are situations where I am uncertain about the most appropriate genre classification for a song I am submitting. It would be beneficial if, upon selecting a track, the AI could provide genre suggestions or insights based on previous analyses to support more accurate categorization.
- The genre filter occasionally returns results that do not appear fully aligned with the selected criteria.
Playlists that are not actively maintained or curated are appearing in search results, potentially due to default activation settings.

What made my experience great was...

What made my experience great was the tangible reach I achieved. Matchfy does an excellent job of filtering playlists that actually align with my musical genre. It is an honest tool: they don’t promise instant fame, but they do provide the necessary connections to get your music heard by the right people. The ROI is clear if you have quality music. Keep up the great work!

Simply Trustworthy

It’s the best service for both music curators and promoters. There is simply the truest care to not allow artificial inflation of playlists and thus, safeguard artists from its repercussions. You cannot do better than Matchfy when it comes to trustworthiness.

The playlists that I submitted to

The playlists that I submitted to, including and especially the ones that I was approved to, are all useless. they are dead, "zombie", inactive playlists that no one listens to and will NOT get me ANY Spotify streams. I know, Matchfy doesn't guarantee that they will, only that I will get on these useless lists.

Useless

Got my music on 215 playlist from which I got a total of 30 streams so in average 0.188889 streams per playlist. It's obviouse there wasn't a single stream from from 98% of the playlis (5 list that in total resulted in 30 plays and 210 with 0 plays).

They claim that playlistads would be good for the algorithm, which is nonsens. Plays, saves and other user interaction are. But as there's no plays and by that no userinteraction coming from those playlists, it helps not at all for the algorythem.

They also offered a phone call to talk about promotion startegy, well we did set an appointment for that call, I made sure I'm available, but no one called.

I tried a bunch of other promotion services before, this is by far the most useless, at least it was cheap, but still to much for what it offers.
