A professional service
We have had a number of dealings over several years with the Surveyors and Valuers as well as those dealing with sales at Maunder Taylor and we have always found their services to be most professional and with clear advice
Jamie Migden from Maunder Taylor
Jamie Migden from Maunder Taylor, I must say, what an outstanding service so far we have received from you. Dealt with all the enquiries we had throughout our new lease.
Quick responses to emails and calls. Always customer friendly. Thank you so much for all the professionalism so far.
We have worked with Maunder Taylor for…
We have worked with Maunder Taylor for many years and found them to be responsive, proactive and extremely efficient. We work alongside their Property Managers to include Halil Enver, Anton Theobald, Cem Salahi, Alan Purvey and Michael Maunder Taylor. We have found all Property Managers to be extremely efficient and very experienced. If further repairs are required, they are proactive in resolving issues to a satisfactory conclusion.
I highly recommend this property management company.
Avoid this "family firm" like a plague!
Unfortunately, other reviewers are correct in this case. Even the FCA has several complaints about them. No doubt I will be contacting the regulators so more people don't get conned! I urge anyone with genuinely bad experience with them to report them to the FCA. Only communicate with this company via emails or recorded phone calls as they will lie outright.
Full of con tricks. Avoid them. We had a director of the board of the management company who has been collaborating with them over the years in some sort of cosy agreement. So they kept supporting him and strangely he kept renewing our building insurance via these lot with Aviva. Someone else in the review mentioned about these brokers and Aviva too!
It appears that they really are not insurance brokers. They are estate agents who also seem to do estate agency, block management, insurance - but appear to be full of con tricks in all of these areas - looking at the reviews and my personal experience with their insurance side.
I asked them if I could speak to couple of their existing clients who wrote the reviews and they declined to respond properly.
Basically they are a "broker" who then use another broker called "Verlingue London Markets" - who used to be "NBJ Markets". The latter then go and seek insurance with 3-4 companies with Aviva being their favourites for the reasons we can only guess. And you end up with Aviva a the "best quote".
MT will advise leaseholders that they scouted the market for insurance when they have only relied on these other broker to obtain quotes. They do not deal directly with any insurers!
Their complaints process is a whitewash and diaboical and they play nasty games including inteference with the board management decision making!
Avoid this "family firm". We can only imagine what kind of "family" this must be!
AVOID THESE CHARLATANS!!!!
A horrible management company. Sue Maunder-Taylor is rude and harassing, even if asking completely legit questions such as why our service charge has tripled (TRIPLED!!) since they have taken over. No obvious works have been carried out as per the service charge accounts, they are cowboys who do not deserve to still have clients or properties to manage! The lessees of my block are all in agreement, there is no transparency with the costs associated to the service charge statements, and they take forever to respond to questions regarding this, which then causes issues as people do not want to, or cannot afford to pay the vast, grossly inflated prices they charge. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awful company with a terrible culture
Awful company with a terrible culture. They take advantage of people at every turn and can not be trusted. Avoid.
Extremely bad insurance broker company
Extremely bad insurance broker company.
The agent Tracy Reed who is supposed to take care of us, her clients, not only has done absolutely nothing to help us fight with Aviva for our rights for one year so far but is also the client through Maunder and Taylor of another of these dodgy companies namely NBJ London Market and we are now lost into being the clients of several unethical big companies that work actively against the clients, us.
As I am in the middle of writing a report to the Ombudsman against one of their satellite companies -Innovation- I understand why all of this is established the way they do it.
This is criminal as it violates the trust we put in them and it is morally wrong.
Run away from these con people if you can!
Produced Work Not Fit for the Purpose
We are a small Right to Manage Company who commissioned Maunder Taylor to do a specific survey and report.
Bruce Maunder Taylor despite clear instructions, undertook work he was not qualified to do. Produced a report not fit for purpose. Tried to get payment before we had sight of the report. Initiated legal proceedings before their RICS complaints process was completed. Withdrew their claim in National Small Claims Court because of all the paperwork and evidence we prepared in our defence.
They are not trustworthy or honourable.
Use at your peril.
Maunder Taylor are incompetent
Maunder Taylor are incompetent - and mean. Not a great combination. I wouldn't employ them to manage a hamster cage- unless I really hated the hamster.
Maunder Taylor are unscrupulous
Maunder Taylor are unscrupulous, economical with the truth, and divisive, pitting one lessee against another. They are not fit to manage, their only motive is to increase management and commission fees. They deny lessees their rights under the lease and the Landlord and Tenant Acts. Do not appoint for any work whatsoever.
Maunder Taylor avoid
Maunder Taylor provides service management to Millennium Wharf (London). Appalling service management for what leaseholders are charged each year, extortionate costs,—no value for money, transparency or accountability. Service management charge has increased each year for no apparent reason.
Repairs are not being carried out within a reasonable time, the state of repair to the buildings has deteriorated over time and as a result, become more costly to remedy.
We are paying more for our service charge than apartments that have a gym, lifts, swimming pool, 24/7 security and 24/7 concierge service in London.
Leaseholders have attempted to challenge M & T to be told that they need to visit the office outside of London to review accounts and invoices. Looking forward to the CMA review and enforcement action on the leasehold sector to hold service management companies to account. I would highly recommend not using their management services.
Avoid !!!
MT manages our block: in the last few years we have seen significant service charge increases without transparency and service improvement.
Complete over the top charges and no trust in MT
I am generally not good at writing reviews but had for this management company as feel they are just there to rip off leaseholders as much as they can. Management charges Increases every year by large amounts without and transparency or justification. No idea where the money is being spent and you don’t see any improvements.
Do Not Use Maunder Taylor
I would not recommend Maunder Taylor, Costs increase by more than inflation year on year with little/no work to show for it. The concierge is not 24hr and there is no gym/pool or gardens to maintain to warrant such a large service charge.
DO NOT LET THEM RUN YOUR DEVELOPMENT
This company took over management of our development - Millennium Wharf in E14, London, several years ago after we got rid of the previous cowboys. They presented as the good guys but after a few years the service charges have more than doubled and they were already extortionate. I'm talking over £400pcm for a 2 bed flat with no lifts/gym and only partial concierge. There are no cladding issues either. Their operations are overseen by Sue Maunder-Taylor who I have found to be one of the rudest and most unpleasant people I have ever to had to deal with. MT seem to think that Leaseholders have an unlimited budget when it should be management of the development within a budget. I have no doubt that the value of my property has been diminished by the levels of service charge they are imposing. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
High Service charges with lack of responsiveness, transparency and accountability
I’ve lived at the Apartment block they manage for since 2017 at Millennium Wharf.
Service charges have gone up circa. 20% already, when the inflation rate has been at best 2-2.5% p.a.
The lack of transparency and accountability has led to considerable amount of frustration amongst majority of the leaseholders in the Millennium Wharf estate.
I strongly recommend NOT using their services.
I’ve lived in a block managed by MT…
I’ve lived in a block managed by MT since 2014. The services have not improved since I moved it. The lift and the shutters to the garage break frequently, the concierge (as lovely as she is) is working 7am to 3pm, so I can never reach her after work. We are paying for the maintenance of a private pier that no one uses and a garden which is always locked. Yet the service charges increase every year. When challenged, MT are not forthcoming with any sensible explanations. For the amount of the service charge the leaseholders are paying, we should be receiving silver service, but alas, it is mediocre at best.
