Signed up for a trial period then I cancelled the trial. After three months they sent me an email asking for 89,05€ through Infoscore Forderungsmanagement GmbH a debt collection agency.

Stay away from Maxdome, Joyn and Infoscore Forderungsmanagement GmbH. They make their money by scamming.

Do never sign up for a trial!

beware, stay away from them. they make their money by scamming.
their platform doesn't even allow you to cancel !!!

My wife and I signed for their 1-month "free trial" and before the trial was over we decided to cancel since they don't have a big selection of movies and series and the few they do, very often don't have the original version.

That's when the nightmare begins. They said that because we didn't cancel within 14 days of the free 1-month trial they can charge us for the next month.

This is illegal because this 14 days clause isn't said during the sign-up process...just as part of a long email after you've signed so you see it.

I'm uncertain if I'll sue them or not over 7,99 Euros (not because of the money but because of the false advertising) but if many more here would like to and someone set up a class action, I'm in.

They came to me 2 years after I cancelled my subscription and said I missed a payment, even though I had proof from my account that I paid every bill. It was set up automatically to pay every month and there was always enough in the account. They sent it right away to a collection agency without even explaining why they thought I owned them money. Never, ever, ever, sign up for Maxdome. Netflix and Amazon prime are better anyway.

maxdome.de is a trap - it is not possible to delete account online. Even if you cancel your subscription they continue billing.

Few months after cancellation I received email from debt collection company asking me to pay maxdome.de monthly fee plus about 60 EUR debt collection fee.

I will send a complain to German authorities because this is a scam. If you expect that it is similar to Netflix where customer can cancel their account anytime maxdome.de is different, they seem to earn their income from debt collection.

I have not watched a single movie on this website. Service is only available in Germany and Austria.

Hi, thought it will be good to learn German on maxdome while I was in Germany. Later find out it is not possible to watch movies abroad.
I asked to cancel membership while it was trial month, online chat assistant said no problem. Now I get bill by email from debt collectors that I need to pay. 63€.

( I chat again, they tranferd me to another assistant he provided email address where I need to write, I wrote to this email, I got '' automatic '' answer there was link with FAQ.

Be aware that once you suscribe you can not cancel anymore online. The only way to cancel your susbscripton is with telephone AND THEY DO NOT SPEAK ENGLISH THEY REFUSE TO TAKE YOUR DEMANDE INTO CONSIDERATION WHILE IT IS NOT IN GERMAN AND CONTINUE TO TAKE YOUR MONEY
