MBNA cancelled our flights without telling us

Booked rewards flight in July 2023. Received confirmation email and another confirmation email Nov 2023. Tried to check in Dec 26/23 to find our our flights were cancelled by mbna in July. Phone number received in confirmation email supposed to be for "Loyalty Solutions Canada" 800 562-8466 is incorrect and for some other parts company. Couldn't get hold of mbna b/c they were closed for the holidays. Westjet was kind enough to book us on another flight but it was 6 hours earlier and went 1.5 hours in the opposite direction for a connection first. Lost half a day on the phone trying to sort things out then another half a day having to leave 6 hours earlier (which meant cancelling work we had to do). After the trip contacted mbna and they deny doing anything wrong. Absolutely unacceptable. Have cancelled credit card. What a joke.

Worst credit card ever

Worst credit card ever. The verification process is ridiculous.
I tried to add the cc to my apple wallet. I had to call 4 times with no success therefore I decided to cancel my credit card.

Awful

Awful. Just awful. The verification process is absolutely ridiculous. They ask literally for everything you can image +++++++ every time I login or call. Why have a phone code when 10-15 more questions are asked. And when you call. Wait times are unreasonable!!!

If I could give them less than one star, I would. Before you think about applying for their Amazon rewards card, please read the reviews.

The short: Worst credit card 'company' I've ever encountered.

The long: The customer service is awful, it's by phone only, be prepared to wait 30-60 minutes and have the rudest person answer your call.

The identification process is by fax only (in 2024, hilarious), even then, they refused my bank statement and paystub without telling me why, all while asking me excessive questions regarding my personal life as if they're some scammers prying for information. Comparing to all other credit card companies and banks I've dealt with the past, none have asked the type of questions they ask. They're also rude and aggressive as if they're debt collectors, as if forgetting that I'm a client that wants to use their product. They accused me of fraud and identification theft over the phone, which is absurd considering I sent them my paystub and bank statement. Adding insult to injury, they refuse to allow me to close my account until they receive more information from me.

I had to go through Amazon support and have their team contact MBNA to close the account on my behalf. What a joke of a company.

I got the amazon master card from this…

I got the amazon master card from this company I saw an advertising from one company in instagram said Virginia lopez prepared a cream and you need only 6$ only for shipping . I paid by this master card but after a month i realized they deducted to 197$ from my account . I contacted with somebody but they told me there was something is hide in some section that nobody can see. Any way i contacted with master card provider and this comoanny is scam and they using thier advertisement to rub prople money . First they agreed and return money but the scam company talked with them and agian mastercard agreed with them charged my acount . I filled dspute and i talked with them but one lady contacted me and she was very angry and yelling me and she was very angry and rejected my Dispute. I don't recommend this mastercard provider specially amazon master card because if something happen and scam companies steal your money this master card provider not supporting you.

Worst credit card company I have ever…

Worst credit card company I have ever dealt with. Phoned the number on the back of the card to cancel the account of my sister law as her executor, I was then handed off to some other division who wanted certain documentation and then I was handed off again after already supplying the required death certificate etc. I would never recommend MBNA to anyone.

MBNA CREDIT CARD REVIEW - AVOID LIKE PLAGUE. I Pay my MBNA bill on Thursday prior to 10pm. Funds not credited until following Wednesday. Took cash advance in urgent situation because I couldn’t wait til pay day. Have been without food because deposit has taken over 3 days and still not arrived. Payday came quicker. For this I will pay 22% interest until remainder of balance is paid first. Criminal.

MBNA CC Fake Advertisement

I would give them -10 (minus10) if possible. They are the worse bank or credit card company to deal with or apply for. I have a high credit score rating but they still didn’t approve the application for a stupid Amazon CC that I even didn’t need but wanted the gift card lol. Otherwise, I wouldn’t even apply or touch or do business with them at all.

Unreliable card

I'm at the end of my 6 months promotion when you have 5% return of reward points with a prime membership. And im very disapointed about the card. It seem to have some sort of bug on how the reward points are calculated and you never know if you will have the right points, that you deserve, or not.

First of all, i only use this card to buy on amazon.ca, only for that. Sometime, i can have transactions that should be illigible for the 5% points but i only have 1%. Other time i have the right points. If you already got this card be aware of your reward points because they are not always accurate. Don't hesitate to call them to adjust your reward points.

I called MBNA Amazon reward center to ask them why and to adjust my points. Everytime they told me its because i buy on amazon.com in the united states. That is totally false i only buy on amazon.ca . I'm charge in Canadian dollar, etc. I wanted to sent them all the proof but they do not want to hear more from me.

Contact Amazon, etc. nobody seem to care or want to help me. How can i be confident with a product that is not reliable how the points are calculated?

Ultimately, i deducted that every time i buy a item on amazon.ca, sold and ship by amazon.ca that is charge on my MBNA statement as AMAZON DOWNTOWN TORONTO or AMAZON DOWNTOWN TOROON i have this bug when my reward points are calculated only 1% instead of the 5% i should have with the promotion. Also have the mention SITE OUTSIDE AMAZON.

Amazon dont care, very bad customer service from MBNA, not confident anymore in the product, i will revoke the card and close my account after the promotion. I cant use a product that i cant count on it. Don't be fool by false reviews.

Check out carefully your reward points, each time you will be invoice AMAZON DOWNTOWN TOROON you will have less points that you deserve you will have only 1%.

I finally spoke to manager for…

I finally spoke to manager for complaints at MBNA Mastercard on Feb. 6, 2024. I was told that the fraudulent charge was allowed to go through, even though I reported my credit card lost on Feb. 1, 2024! Yet, my regular automated charges have been declined? BUT unauthorized charges are allowed???? I have to wonder who is protecting our interest & supporting fraud & scams? The bottom line is I have to go through the fraud department for the charge entered on Feb. 4, 2024 on my lost/cancelled card! Wow...I have been put into a situation that should never have happened. According to the manager, these frauders/scamers are able to enter the charge even if the card is cancelled???? I would not recommend MBNA Mastercard TD!!

Liars and people with worst dirty mentality are working there. They dont attend the phone and keep people waiting for hours and then hang up suddenly while the customer is talking. So disrespectful! They should be ashamed of themselves.

MBNA MC Amazon card is not a good card

MBNA MC Amazon card is not a good card. I was offered an insurance in case I cant pay the minimum amount each month and they cancel my card after 3 months of missed min amount payment... I was temporarily laid off, as soon as I was back to work I made full payment and asked for not cancelling the card, they refused. What a great customer service!

The worst credit card ever!!

I am a very big Amazon customer so when they suggested an MBNA credit card, I said why not … but it’s impossible to login into their website … always technical issues !!! first of all they don’t even have an application which bank today doesn’t have an application?? and furthermore there’s always technical issues logging in!!! There’s no way to call their customer service. I sent them an email and they never responded.!! Furthermore, on the credit card statement there’s no details ! You would think that a large company like Amazon would choose to do business with a serious and credible bank that can offer basic technical support and statement information ! It’s so complicated to get my statement that I decided to cancel my credit card. What a waste of time.

0% Balance Transfer Scam

This bank is a fraud. Opened an MBNA TrueLine Mastercard for the 0% annual interest rate offer on balance transfers and when I opened online banking the offer wasn't there. I called them and they said they word the offer as one 'could' qualify but unfortunately they won't give me the offer. Absolute predatory scam.
