Same as everyone else. Returned pump but kept being charged regardless. Customer support do not answer phones or emails. Had to tell bank to blacklist company.

My pump had a broken piece (my fault). I ordered through insurance but I called Medela and their customer service was amazing! I sent a receipt and they had a new one shipped within 24 hours for free!... See more

Sadly although the pump itself is ok, their customer service is shocking bad! A part of my pump is faulty and I tried to contact customer services almost 2 weeks ago and I still haven’t got a response... See more

Waited two weeks for response from customer service

Waited two weeks for a satisfactory response from their customer service department. Tried calling multiple times to their customer service line before that but never got through to anyone and left messages, but of course no one got back to me.

I returned a pump, unused and unopened and asked for a partial refund. It doesn't bother me that they refused the partial refund but they told me I had opened the packaging (I never did) or that some parts were missing. If it was open or had parts missing then it was shipped like this.

Extremely poor.

Not worth it

I hired a medela symphony pump under the assumption that it would be better than my standard electric pump and it wasn’t.
I had to return after 11 days due the 14 day rent period falling on Monday as I was told I’d be charged for another month. It worked no better than a standard medela swing pump. I feel silly for wasting money hiring this.

Don't waste your time.

Don't waste your time.

I was charged for 2 months despite only having pump for 20days. I organised a return as could not use pump and could not return pump as contacted covid yet was charged for an extra month.

Very expensive, not worth it and very poor customer service - I was ignored when raised a complaint

Do not buy products from this company.

Do not buy products from this company.
I bought 2 pair of nipple shields and a breast pump from this company, based on reviews.
After trying the items, I wanted to return them, as I was not happy with the quality( I tried many nipple shields and the material was unacceptable, and breast pump was not what I expected).
I asked for a refund and they rejected it saying the product is of personal use and it should be sealed and unopened.
This is a huge violation of Consumer rights act, any product should be eligible for refund in 14 days , provided the goods are intact, in their original boxes, and in sellable shape.
This is outrageous... for example if you buy a pair of shoes, should the seller reject the refund for trying on them?
A breast pump can be sterilised and put on the market again, I have refunded other pump before from Tommeetippy, no issue.
Do not waste your money with this scam company.

MONEY TRAP!!

MONEY TRAP!!!
Hospital recommended that I rent a pump directly from Medela. They advertise "free delivery" which is misleading as for the initial full payment you only get 2 weeks worth of rental instead of the full month - therefore the delivery cost is hidden in the charge.

They chose UPS service and although it was meant to be signed for we found the parcel in our garage on a different day then expected delivery date. It was standing on the side which meant that one of the original boxes got damaged by the weight of the main pump sitting on top of it.

They don't tell you until the pump arrives that they have different sizes of the breast funnel and it can all go wrong if you don't have the correct size, but you have to purchase the parts separately and wait for them to be delivered while the 14 day rental period is ticking.

One of the pumps stopped sucking after just few uses.

To return the pump you need to find an open UPS collection point (during lockdown) and ensure that the pump actually reaches the company before the 14 days trial (I stupidly just requested to return it within the 14 day period and as I didn't manage to locate the UPS point after just a week of use - as if I have a plenty of time on my hands with a newborn - I sadly got charged for another period despite my plan of returning it.)

MASSIVE WASTE OF MONEY FOR ME

Great customer service

We have had a very good experience with medela UK. The pump stopped working after a month (these things happen) and John Lewis could not help as stores were closed and their online division is not linked up (poor from JL). Medela responded quickly, are reimbursing the Medela hospital grade pump rental charge and have sent a new pump upon me sending back the faulty one. Tracy was great to deal with.

Cost my milk supply

I have the freestyle and it has worked well for me until it didn’t. I lost my milk supply in the time I spent waiting for Medela to help. The pump began losing suction so I called the Medela customer service on 3 separate occasions (I was on hold for 30+ minutes with two of my phone calls). I was told to buy new parts and that was all the help I received. My warranty was over since I had purchased my pump with my first child. It was barely used when I began using it with my second 3 years later.

I love my pump

I love my pump. I am a working mom and I have to pump before work and every few hours at work. Reliable and gets the job done. The only thing I don’t like is the Brest shields size range. For a proper fit I need a 16mm but the smallest they offer is a 19mm.

Terrible product

Terrible product. I have been through two of these pumps in five months, the diaphragm pops out of the motor and it becomes inoperable. No suction whatsoever. Save yourself the headache and buy another brand, these have been a nightmare.

Medela Cares =)

This review is long over due for the customer service I received back in May of 2016. This is my story. I had ordered the Medela Pump In Style Double Electric pump, which I used for 2 full years without any issues, through my insurance company. I believe the name of the distributor was McKesson who shipped my pump to my local Target store for me to pick up. My husband and arrived at customer service at Target, picked up the pump, which was in a normal brown shipping box, set it on bottom of the cart and did some shopping at Target. When we were ready to leave, my husband loaded the car, put the cart in the cart stall outside and home we went. An hour after being home, I asked my husband if he had brought my pump in or was it still on the shopping cart. It wasn't in his car, so back we went to Target and the pump had already been taken off the cart (took place in Chicago). Of course we inquired at the Target customer service but no one had turned in anything. So there I was 3 weeks from delivery and had just lost my insurance covered pump. I called my insurance company to see what they could do and they only issue one pump per pregnancy. No help there. I called McKesson and there was nothing they could do for me. Then I decided to call Medela. I believe her name was Melissa, who answered the phone. I'm not sure what my goal was but I told Melissa my story. She listened and then said "can you give me just a moment?" I held on the phone for 3 minutes and when Melissa returned she said" "I relayed to my manager your story and we are going to send you a pump." I, 9 months pregnant, just started bawling. I mean, I called McKesson and Medela just to report a pump that may be returned to them and that it belonged to me. Never would I have thought that any of these companies would just give me a new pump. To me, it screams that the Medela Company really cares about babies having breast milk and have empathy for a wife who has a forgetful husband. I still tell people how much Medela care to this day. I have since donated my Medela to a family who also wanted the best nutrition for their young growing baby. Thank You Medela for wanting the best for the future! THANK YOU !!!

Poor service!

Sadly although the pump itself is ok, their customer service is shocking bad! A part of my pump is faulty and I tried to contact customer services almost 2 weeks ago and I still haven’t got a response. As one of the other reviews states - they clearly don’t care about the breastfeeding journey or the problems some mums face. Really disappointing.

Don't order online.

I went online to order a breast pump; filled in my insurance information and was shown a pump I qualified for. Great! It got shipped to me and is actually still sitting in the unopened box. A month and a half later I got a bill for $150 for the pump. Had I known it was going to be $150, I never would have ordered it. There was never a cost communicated to me until that bill. And breast pumps are non-returnable. Convenient. I contacted Medela repeatedly; all my emails and voicemails went unanswered. And then I was sent to collections as I was waiting for a response from them.

Great experience renting hospital grade pump

I've had a brilliant experience renting a hospital grade Symphony breast pump directly from Medela UK, so felt I should share my experience. Been exclusively pumping for seven months now, so having the pump working well at all times is really important for me. Twice when I've had issues with the pump, medela have sent a replacement pump the very next day, without any quibbling or delays. Friendly customer support staff too. Can't fault the service. Can return the old pump for free via UPS and they pick it up from home. The pump itself is the best I've tried by far.
