Dr. Nelson was a great mentor to have. I always felt like he truly cared how I did and about my application. He was always able to respond to my messages and answer questions right away.
Dr. Nelson was extremely helpful in my medical school application! He was very polite, kind, compassionate, and understanding. The conversations with him did not feel robotic and I felt that I was able to be as honest as possible with him.
He really helped me keep up with deadlines when we planned how and when we would apply to medical school, as well as MCAT logistics combined with volunteering opportunities and personal statement assistance.
If you are hesitant on which advisor to choose, I would definitely say pick Dr. Nelson if you are lucky enough to get him as an advisor! Very grateful to him!
Dr. Amar Mandalia made a huge impact on my ERAS application and interviews. I definitely did not have excellent grades or scores in medical school, which was a big concern for residency applications. Dr. Mandalia was knowledgeable on how admissions committees view the many applications they receive. Because of this, he was able to help me craft a unique application that really made me stand out and showcase my strengths. He was always very responsive and really made the application process less overwhelming. Beyond his expertise, I felt he was always in my corner. He was very encouraging and provided great advice that I will take with me throughout my career. With his guidance, I was able to match into a top-ranking program. This service was by far worth the cost. I would highly recommend!
I would like to start off by saying that I deferred my application cycle and was switched to work with Dr. Nelson the following year. Having experience with two different advisors deepens my confidence in Dr. Nelsons exceptional support.
I have been working with Dr. Nelson for over a year now. Therefore, I can say with extreme confidence that Dr. Nelson was proactive in supporting me throughout my application process and consistently went far above and beyond my expectations to provide thorough feedback on a plethora subjects in a timely manner. I am impressed by his expertise, his consistent kindness, and honest encouragement. Dr. Nelson not only helped me in submitting the best application possible but provided me with a lot of wisdom that I will be referring back to as I begin my career. As an extremely unique and nontraditional applicant I was grateful to have Dr. Nelson's insight on the various application components. I could not provide a higher recommendation for Dr. Nelson as an advisor and believe he deserves more recognition and appreciation for his diligent work throughout a terribly grueling process.
I am a US-IMG who applied to General Surgery for the 2024 match cycle. I worked with Dr. Ruby as my mentor at MedSchool Coach. He was a great mentor. He was readily available to take any calls or texts I had at almost any time. He was great at communicating which is essential during the match cycle. He was knowledgeable about the match cycle and what made a desirable applicant. He was great at helping me fine-tune my application and giving me suggestions based on his vast experience. He also encouraged me to make the final decision on content and edits, ensuring my application was personal. I would suggest Dr. Ruby to any applicant applying to general surgery.
I am so grateful for the support from MedSchoolCoach during my application cycle for general surgery residency. I had been told that my chances to match were slim to none by my home program, so I began considering alternative specialties and even military programs. Dr. Ruby has been cheering me on since day 1. He always was encouraging and he along with my writing advisor really helped me highlight my strengths in my application and interviews. After getting my step 2 score back, I was almost certain I wouldn't match. I then lost my military placement after outrageous changes to my obligation on the last day to sign. I really had felt all hope was lost. Lucky for me, I still had my amazing MedSchoolCoach team on my side. Dr. Ruby was so professional, always prompt for meetings. He helped me go through my long list of programs that I planned to apply to and helped me decide on the final list to submit to eras. His mock interviews helped me so much on the real deal. He gave lots of great feedback and guidance. After interviews, Dr. Ruby was very influential in guiding me through my rankings and really helped me navigate the process seamlessly, helping to look over post interview emails that I sent. With much credit to my MedSchoolCoach team, I matched at my number one general surgery categorical position at George Washington University!!! If you are on the fence about this program, I hope you take my story into consideration. I am almost certain that the outcomes would not have been as fruitful if I hadn't made the investment with MedSchoolCoach. Now I'm forever indebted to this program! Thank you all so so much!!
I am a real, non-traditional student who got admitted to medical school on my first try. First let me tell you that if you have any doubts about whether the service is worth it, please know you're getting way more than you can even imagine: the value is truly unquantifiable in my eyes. I used the advising services and got paired with Dr. Ron Bradshaw as my physician advisor and James Fleming as my writing advisor. Dr. Bradshaw is in Texas and is truly an expert in the specific things required here for a successful application. James has an eye for capturing unique aspects of your characteristics and the two advisors work together in harmony for your benefit. If you want an incredible application cycle, run, don't walk, and request these two amazing people. They are experts at bringing the best in you for your writing materials and also for interviews! While I worked hard at providing my best raw material, these advisors ensured I knew how to best present myself with clarity, confidence, and professionalism. I had multiple interview invitations and several acceptances as a non-traditional student. I got admitted to a top school that I really adored. Need I say more? Not to mention, I was treated as a human being, not as a number, and the emotional support I received was simply incredible. Applying to medical school is hard enough as it is. With MedSchool Coach and Dr. Bradshaw and James by my side, I felt like I conquered the world. Best investment I ever made! I don't have enough space to sing their praises.
I really liked the insightful information and how nice the people were.
This experience provided me with a better understanding of the structure of a B.S./M.D. interview and gave me greater insight into what interviewers would like to hear. Dr. Steph Lee was very thorough and supportive throughout the entire process! I would highly recommend this service if you're preparing for an interview.
I really liked that the mock interviews were tailored to my needs and felt very realistic. Also the questions were actually about my activities, so I had practice talking about my activities as well as some generic questions to talk our my answers. I would highly recommend anyone trying to get actual interview practice!
- Ability to improve responses instantly for every question we go through
- Concise and helps with formatting and creating foundational responses
My interviewer was very patient, and her feedback was spot on. She was very helpful in identifying where I need to improve. It definitely made me more confident.
I bought the interview package and the mock interviewers were all so incredibly helpful! It was clear that they were very invested in my success!
My interview never happened because I was never given a Google Meet/Zoom link. I received confirmation of the interview and reminders, but I never received a way to join the interview or any other contact information to actually reach out to Nicholas Forcier, with whom I was supposed to have my interview with.

The feedback I got was extremely helpful. I now have more confidence knowing what to work on and address as I continue to improve.
Interviewer was kind, helpful, and gave good advice. I feel better prepared overall after this experience.
Took the time to go over all of my questions and answered clearly and concisely! Was very honest yet kind with feedback.
The experience was great! I was able to receive a lot of constructive feedback on the diverse questions I was asked. I now feel more prepared than before!
