We accept referrals from both healthcare professionals and self-referrals. Payment by private health insurance, self-pay and NHS authorised funding are all accepted. We specialise in providing private MRI scans of the brain, spine, joints and pelvic region. Our Upright MRI system is unique in that it can image the whole spine, including the craniocervical junction (CCJ) in an upright position. In addition, our variPOSE™ technique (varying the pose through flexion, extension and rotation for the scan) allows us to thoroughly assess the effects of gravity and posture on joints and soft tissue. Established in 2011, Medserena currently has 2 UK MRI centres in London and Manchester.

Excellent service and very knowledgable and helpful, friendly staff. The open scanner is an absolute game changer for those who suffer with claustrophobia. Would most definitely recommend Medserena to anyone!

Wonderful - I would have never been able to have an MRI otherwise
Wonderful service! I am very claustrophobic and never would have been able to have an MRI otherwise.
The team were so kind and caring. The experience was very good; the upright machine is open and you are able to watch a tv show like Friends or relaxing nature scenes. The staff talk you through the whole time and let you know when you can move and when you need to stay still (most MRIs are a series of smaller tests). Highly recommended.

Excellent experience
Easy to book my MRI appointment, with questions answered promptly. Helpful/friendly staff during the scan. Radiologists report arrived a few days later. Excellent service all round. Also, I’m highly claustrophobic and I had no problems with the open MRI.

Upright MRI scan is a great alternative…
Upright MRI scan is a great alternative to the tunnel MRI and whilst the position was uncomfortable it was not claustrophobic and over in 17 mins.

You do not feel claustrophobic, so much better than the conventional MRI scanner machine.
Absolutely lovely staff, very caring and knowledgeable.
The facilities are immaculately clean and sterile.
I would definitely recommend this MRI scanner machine, you do not feel claustrophobic at all.
You can watch the television while in the scanner and it’s not as noisy as the conventional MRI.
Would highly recommend.

Previously had difficulty with closed…
Previously had difficulty with closed MRIs, so was sent to Medserena for an open MRI. The Radiologist was very understanding and kind, and I was able to complete the procedure.
