Since Jan 1, 2026 it seems like 95+% of the profiles on Match are fake. Easy to spot as they typically have 2 pictures and are all 2:4" tall with no profile info filled out. I reverse image searched a lot of them and reported to Match. Match is clearly allowing this since they do not enforce the minimum character limit for essays for any of these profiles.

In short, stay well clear of this site. Been remodelled in past weeks and its horrendous. Most importantly, try and unsubscribe or just leave, as you cant. We live in a sad world where dating sites have become normal. Most are scams from the outset, but Match supposed to be a trusted leader. Don't be fooled at your cost !

Couldn't access my account. Kept getting an error message saying "please contact our care team". Contact their care team, explain the issue. They ask what the issue is. I explain the issue again. They respond by...asking me what the issue is. I explain again. They respond by asking me....what the issue is...
Back and forth like this, over 10 times.

Still can't log in to my account. Still getting notifications. Can't stop it, can't delete my account. This is one of the worst scam sites I've ever experienced.

I can't cancel my policy, they keep taking money. Do not use this site, its a scam

The % of bogus profiles is huge. People who contact you with the sole purpose of obtaining your info to continue communicating off the Match app. For what reason? Money. Try asking them for a link to their Facebook profile or LinkedIn profile and they’re gone. Or ask for a video call - W-H-O-O-S-H! My best guess is as high as 95% of profiles - catfish. No exaggeration

It’s one of disaster site I have ever seen , I was there for 2 months but never be able to chat with one person and tried deleting my account for few days but still received notification and no email or address to contact them . Never ever back !

I cannot get them to DELETE MY ACCOUNT nor my PHOTO. I have written emails but they keep sending the same automatic response. Its infuriating. Would never touch this site again.

This site used to be OK but now its run by completely unethical money grubbers. They send you profiles of people that aren't even active members (and are therefore impossible to communicate with). There are also numerous glitches to that when you see someone you like in the email and click the picture, you can't get to their profile. A waste of time and money.

I paid for match.com about 2 weeks ago, but they blocked my account with saying anything yesterday. I was so shocked!!! What a worst experience I have had in my life!!! I have sent a dew email to them, but there is NO answer!!!

I never signed up for a recurring subscription. They kept charging me. Their customer service team is impossible to reach. You cannot cancel from the app. There is no helpful support. I opened a dispute with my bank. Chase told me the charge was valid because Match would not acknowledge my cancellation.

This feels like a trap. It feels designed to take money from people without any accountability. I see they have a 1.2 rating. It shows how many customers feel the same way.

Is anyone from the leadership team reading these reviews? Do they even care?

Nothing works on this site. You get mutual likes from people you have never looked at. You send messages to people who never respond. You get messages from people you wouldn't date in a million years. Only one person I sent a like to they responded with a like and then nothing. It is complicted to use and every time you access the site you get one look and then you have to keep logging back on for every view. It is complicated to cancel - you will have to go through a maze of information to cancel and even then you don't get an email to say you have done so. You are more likely getting a date throwing a stone into a crowd or putting an advertisment in the local newsagents. They charge you for extra stuff and then you cannot access the extra services you have paid money for. They charged me an extra £12 for connect but every time you try to use it it tells you you are not entitled to use this service even after paying for it. You contact the site to complain and you get a standard response which has nothing to do with your complaint. Expensive, hard to navigate, none of the people who "like" you actually respond to messages. A distressing waste of time and money.

I would like to give zero stars for match.com, based purely on my customer service experience. They are impossible to communicate with, I created a new profile, which took days to happen due to an issue verifying my phone number. And then within minutes of activating my account I was locked out for no reason, and for days now am unable to get anything other then an automated response. Absolutely terrible customer service, they need to fix this, immediately. The company clearly does not care at all about its customers.

I have tried to call, I have written emails, and despite this, they continue to charge me month after month after month. I don't check my CC statements all the time. Only when I use my card. I noticed that they have been charging me for the last 9 months despite me cancelling. I even got an email asking me to come back for a discount. I cannot even log in to the account because I cancelled it. There needs to be a lawsuit against these aholes. Do not sign up. Almost ever single comment I have seen on here is how they continue to take people's money even after they cancel.

I am concerned about safety and security on this site. I want to cancel my membership and not be charged again. This site is a scam.

I tried match several years ago and it was a decent service. However it seems now the system is total garbage. I will set filters (distance/race/etc)and they get totally ignored. I was gong to cancel a month or so after I signed up, but I would still be charged? What kind of customer satisfaction is that... I literally communicated w/ 3 women. One apparently was a scammer as they removed her. The second we were communicating well, albeit she was a tad flaky on how long it took to get a reply (5 days to reply?) We even agreed after 10-12 days to exchange #'s and it was the same thing, strange time lengths for communication.... 3rd one was less than a week and she got snappy about "not wanting a text buddy" As these days with weirdos/privacy etc. I gave options for this. Google voice, meet or actual #'s.... And she deleted and unmatched....

Went over to "our time" after setting the cancellation when it was nearer to my end before rebilling. AND that is also garbage, same filter junk sorting and algorithms....

Waste of time & money. Really gone downhill.
Out dated or fake profiles on there.
I have sent hundreds of messages- long/short - tailored etc and consistently get no replies. Matches are hundreds of miles away despite me giving a thirty mile radius.
Absolute rubbish- don't waste your time or money.

Complete scam

Ive just proved fake profiles on this site. I had 100+ likes from women that didnt interest me, and no response from messaging 60 that did interest me, not even a mutual like or comment , and theres absolutely no way they were out of my league !
It’s almost an impossible statistic that not even one got back, so they must be dormant profiles who were perhaps members once but match is leaving their profiles active.
I also bought a month pass but now they have helped themselves to another month payment? I asked them about it but they gave some nonsensical answer!
What a bunch of charlatans !

The site is a rip off, full of fake profiles, you get likes then match remove the profile. I think match creates its own fake profiles, then sends likes to people, to make it look like people are interested, then removes the fake profile, don't waste your money

I have been a customer for months. Suddenly the app kicked me out and would not let me back in and would not send the Forgot Password email. I contacted them for a week now. I only get acknowledgement emails. I am currently paying for a service that does not work. I cannot even create a new account because my email is taken
