Problem solved!

I'm all for a product that works perfectly out of the box, but I am even more enthusiastic about a problem with the product being addressed and solved QUICKLY and EFFICIENTLY.

When I first created my account, there were problems that didn't seem to make the product usable. I contacted Rob for help, and he replied immediately, then helped me set up a new account, got my problem resolved and now I'm making seating charts like a champ! I love being able to see extra info about my students and arrange them based on that info. Great product, awesome service.

I like how easy it is to load my lists…

I like how easy it is to load my lists and create a seating chart for my classroom. My only complaint is that the display and print are sized a little odd (probably because my room is very long and not wide). I hated making new seating charts and this makes it much easier. I love that I can see the genders and switch seats easily from the random mode (I can move “those kids”)

Very useful software!

Very useful software!
Though pretty simple, Mega Seating Plan does just what you need a seating chart to do. It's also a great replacement for the software our district supplies for teachers. I wish there were a few more options for printing out your chart (boxes for taking attendance would be helpful; I have to draw them in by hand for now). Otherwise, a very useful tool that's free and does what you need.

Great in its simplicity!

Great in its simplicity. After using this for a few months, I've just subscribed for an add free version coming school year. Also because good and helpful tools should get the support they deserve.

Really useful for me as a supply…

Really useful for me as a supply teacher. Have been using for a couple of years now on longer term contracts. The SIMS import is good. The best bit is the ability to flip the plan so it is oriented for the students entering the room, and again flip it so I can see the names as I face the class. The facility for printing out the plans is useful but took some time for me to find despite being "obvious" on the plan page. I have only used the free version to date and that has met my needs.

It can be frustrating dismissing a class and selecting the next to be placed on the page where you have to reselect the seating plan selection page before proceeding which adds a minute in this valuable change over time.

The data policies look to be GDPR compliant but the hardest bit is that the interface is clunky for deleting a number of groups of classes at once at the end of a contract.

I notice that there are additional facilities being added that link to this such as a random name picker and feedback system but I have not yet used these enough to comment. I did have a quick look but didn't really get into the format of the feedback system which was a shame. Perhaps someone else could speak of their experiences with this.
