Avoid leasing a Mercedes.
Like countless people before I have recently been stung by fabricated and overblown end of lease charges, that it seems extremely difficult to fight against. In my case over £1,300.
I have been leasing vehicles for well over 10 years, I have always returned my vehicles, in what I would consider to be, a very good condition (Considering the age of the vehicle) I have NEVER before been charged end of lease fees.
We all know that when we lease a vehicle we, basically, pay the depreciation. This is calculated at the start of the contract. Since that time demand for secondhand vehicles has ballooned, I have no doubt my car will be sold for more than the expected value and Mercedes have the nerve to do this - It is disgusting.
Now I know there will be a reply to this post from Mercedes on lease saying "this is not our problem, you are talking about Mercedes Benz Financial Services etc" POPPYCOCK - You are bedfellows, without them you wouldn't exist, you brokered the deal and you need to stand up and take responsibility and support your customers.
If I bought a faulty product from a shop, my first port of call would be to that shop to solve my problem. It's the same thing here.
I know you will ask me to remove this post - I will not. If I can prevent one person from going through the end of lease experience I am going through, by stopping them leasing from you in the first place then I will be happy.

Dear Nicholas, we are sorry to hear that you have had a bad experience regarding the off hire of your Mercedes-Benz.
As you quite rightly state, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services are one of the lenders we use. We use a number of lenders to make sure that the customer gets the best lease rate available in the market for the duration of their lease. What we cannot foresee is the off hire bill the finance company will raise when your vehicle is off hired. This is dependant on what the condition of the vehicle you have been driving throughout the duration of your contract is like at the end of the lease. Mercedes On Lease have no control over what the funder will charge you as this is between you and them as stated within the terms and conditions of your lease agreement.
We would however like to point out that if you have a dispute regarding your off hire bill that you can contact the British Vehicle Rental & Leasing Association (BVRLA) as their end of lease wear and tear conditions are the recognised standard across the industry. They will most certainly be able to assist you with your concerns over the end of lease charges you are being charged and will be able to assist you in disputing these charges with Mercedes-Benz Financial Services.
We hope you manage to reach a satisfactory conclusion with Mercedes-Benz Financial Services and your off hire bill.

I was promised a free charger as part of my package
Eight weeks later I have still not had an installation date. Mercedes have delegated to BP. BP have no interest in progressing this as I live in the North and they really can’t be bothered sending their team up here. They have responded to one in four of the emails I have sent. They can only rarely be bothered to answer their phones.
I am the customer stuck in the middle with Mercedes blaming BP who in turn blame Northern Power Grid who in turn lie about the fact that they have ‘tried to contact’ me,
If you want to be treated like a dock then sign up like I did; otherwise steer clear.

20inch amg alloys cracking
I have been a Mercedes Customer for 20 years buying brand new cars.
I bought a brand new cls amg in April 2019. They gave me 4x 20inch amg alloys with ruin flat tyres.
I had to change 1 alloy because it was cracked on the rim joint in Feb 2020. Then 2nd wheel cracked in April 2020.
I paid nearly £2000 as warranty doesn't cover this.
Now I am being told 2 more wheels need replacing and I have to pay for this.
Surely the wheels are not fit for its purpose.
4 brand new AMG wheels changed with in 1 year. This is unacceptable.
Mercedes should be covering this under warranty! I have never had to change an alloy until now.
The complaints dept are not interested with my complaint, which is disgusting.
If this was a service from ford or Toyota, I understand.... But treatment from Mercedes is disgusting

Great service
Extremely good service. Firstly, the 'price match' promise was honoured without quibble. The process was then slick and simple. There were some delays due to staff elsewhere still furloughed, but the service and assistance from Dan Curley was superb. Dan communicated often and effectively providing regular updates.

REASON WHY YOU SHOULD LEASE A BMW
I had a 24 month lease, Mercedes did not collect the vehicle within the 24 month contract and have charged me for an extra month and so far have refused to refund me back. Requested a quote for extending the lease took 2 weeks to reply and found more competitive prices elsewhere which they refused to even match. Once they have your money standards slip dramatically.
Yes I have read your reply and Trustpilot have upheld my complaint on here after proving my rental exists via email. I’m not interested whether you can find my details or not I have proof of rental, all documents and every email saved. When are you going to pay me what you owe? You forced a payment from me or I was threatened with a mark against my credit file. Hope you get wrecked with claims for your NoX cheat devices that were installed.

We have no doubt that you leased a Mercedes-Benz through Mercedes’ finance, however you have not leased your car from us.
As mentioned previously we are an independent leasing brokerage who specialise in the provision of Mercedes-Benz vehicles via a number of lenders. We are not Mercedes-Benz Financial Services which is whom you are referring too. This is clear as we do not take lease payments from customers as we are a broker, not a lender.
We haven’t passed any of this to trust pilot as we hoped you would have realised you had left a review against the wrong company. This is why they haven’t removed it from our review page.
We are sorry that you have yet to rectify your issues with Mercedes-Benz Financial Services but as we never supplied your vehicle we are unable to assist. We recommend that you continue to pursue your complaint with the correct company, namely Mercedes-Benz Financial services.
