Cheap small failing disorganized

The service is terrible, badly organized and prone to random flight cancellations. After that, the customer service is even worse, outsourced and working against itself. The rebranding/restructuring to "AirItaly" did not help.
I have yet to receive hundreds of € from simply a flight they cancelled.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience. Till now I thought it was a very simple process to have one extra suitcase. Not anymore. Meridiana made it a very very complicated and expensive process. After our holiday we had one more suitcase which I tried to book via their website.... impossible. so I downloaded the app and tried again. The app quoted 65 euros, but it always ended with some error code. At the airport I checked in the suitcases and was told that I needed to go to a different ticket counter and come back. The lady at the ticket counter was on a break for 20 minutes, so I had to wait. After 20 minutes of waiting, a grumpy very unfriendly lady was taking 25 minutes to finally book one extra suitcase for 93 Euros! I was told that at the airport it is always more expensive and that I can complain at the hotline. So much for that... now flying back home, I had to have a stopover in Milan. I tried again with the website and the app, but got greeted with the same error. So this time having more time, I called the hotline, waited 25 minutes in total and was told, that as it is a two leg flight it is counted as two single independent tickets which means that I have to pay two times for the suitcase. I am beyond annoyed about this airline. I will try everything to avoid them the next time.

Meridiana terrible customer support and no problem solved

I just lived a horrible experience, I bought a ticket from edreams and the flight was cancelled and passed a night in a country that I don't know and paid the hotel because they cancelled their flight and they refused to pay me the accomodation as I had to pass 1 night to catch the next flight and I had problems with my work because of them and when I contacted their customer support, one lady was very rude and she hang up on me because she didn't have an answer for me.
then I paid the accomodation by myself and they stop me in the airport because they couldn't see the changed flight on the system so I had to stay last to go to the plane...
Please use an agency that you know and specifically the Meridiana Airlines if it's involved
