Update - We are now 8 month in since going Live with Aptean Merlin .
The issues with daily operations get worse and the lack of support is unbelievable for the money you pay for the database. If you do manage to get Support to reply, often you are given the wrong information, fixes that are critical can take over a week.
When you do escalate issues directly to Team Managers and Area Managers, you have to chase and chase to actually get them to reply.
If you are wanting to make your business and staff suffer please use Merlin, however if you require your business to grow and have happy staff, then please avoid this disaster of a Database.
Look at the other reviews on Google in the last year for the company, they clearly indicate the same issues we have experienced, lack of support and terrible communication, there is a pattern here.

Aptean Merlin is a terrible system, support is useless and has attitude when trying to resolve issues.
Management do not ever answer emails.
Rather than a streamline process it is full of elongated work arounds, and any changes that would benefit the whole of their customer base are not listened to and chargeable.
Please make sure you are fully aware of the issues this system will cost and cause your company. Its like stepping back to the 1980's again, whilst other systems try to work with their customers, Merlin just look to charge.
So many great systems out there please give this one a miss.
