Cardiff , Casablanca flat 18

Similar experience as another review, out of the blue they cancelled my booking claiming the property is now under new management , in real terms if there is a new business owner they wouldn’t cancel upcoming orders .
Probably a blessing in disguise as after reading some reviews we may we of had a not so good experience had it went ahead , my guess is they hadn’t realised the rugby is on and have under priced it initially, they are obviously not great at what they claim to be good at , avoid !!

Do not rent out your property via this company.

I have rented out my property via Mia Living, but the experience was bad. Agreed actions were not being acted upon, continually. We needed to chase them all the time. After months we did not even receive pictures of the property, and no links to their marketing efforts to acquire guests, so we didn't even know if marketing efforts were taken. The occupancy they delivered was very low, and we made a loss working with them. They said trash in front of the property had been removed but when we arrived it was still there, so they were not being honest. It was also very difficult to reach them. We needed to call and email and what's app them many times before someone would respond. This all came as a surprise, because the people were very lovely in their communication, and I believe they have good intentions, but they were just not able to manage their operations well and deliver on their promises.

Not good

We stayed in the Chepstow Road property through Airbnb and did not have a good experience at all.
We booked this property for a group of 8 of us and were really disappointed. Here is a list of just some of the issues we had during our stay.

- The downstairs bedroom has double doors hidden behind some curtains and they were not locked - they were tied together with cable ties and when trying to open from the outside, could fairly easily with a bit of force break in - MAJOR security issue to the point that a couple in our party had to get a hotel as they didn't feel safe
- 1 mug and 2 forks for a property that is meant to host 10 people - we had to buy our own crockery
- 5 chairs and one broken one for the dining table (again meant to host 10)
- Light didn't work in downstairs toilet, peeing in the dark was great
- One of the bedroom lights didn't work
- One of the double bedroom leads directly through one of the other bedrooms (wasn't too much of an issue for us and would be fine for a family with kids but isn't stated clearly on the booking)
- Very visibly moldy shower curtain upstairs
- Not a great area - good for connections but not a desirable neighborhood

If you are looking to stay here - please inquire as to whether the door in the downstairs bedroom has been fitted with a proper lock and I'd bring your own crockery with you just in case (although we bought extra as we had to and left it there)

We managed to get a partial refund but it didn't cover the additional expense and hassle of everything else we had to sort. Not impressed at all.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! WITH JUST 3 WEEKS TO GO THEY HAVE CANCELLED OUR BOOKING AS "MANAGEMENT CHANGED" (???). STILL WAITING FOR DEPOSIT TO BE RETURNED. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. THIS WAS AFTER ALREADY CHANGING THE BOOKING. SO BAD.

Apartments for the highest bidder!

I booked a Mia Living apartment on Booking.com in March 2022 to stay from the dates 27 - 29th May 2022. I called yesterday to check about the damage deposit and how to get access and I was told that they could no longer accommodate my booking!

Literally four days before I was meant to travel down for an event and they gave some excuse re the landlord. They cancelled my booking, left me with no accommodation, no explanation - booking, com have tried to relocate me but prices are so high in Cardiff its left me out of pocket.

Just accessed Booking.com today and they have put the apartment back up under a new name and double the price I paid. So even if you book with Mia Living, you may be punted at the last minute for the highest bidder.

Disgusting way to conduct business and they should be ashamed of themselves.
