Unreliable Product & Appalling Customer Support – Avoid This Brand
I purchased a MiBoxer lighting controller based on the advertised features and compatibility, but the product failed to perform as expected — even when used with a high-end OSRAM power supply that exceeds all stated requirements.
After encountering major functionality issues, I reached out to MiBoxer technical support hoping for a reasonable resolution. What I received instead was a string of dismissive, copy-paste responses, culminating in their refusal to assist further unless I spent more money on additional components — purely to test if the problem might go away. At no point was any fault admitted, and no real technical support was provided.
Worse still, the company attempted to deflect responsibility onto a third-party distributor, despite the issue clearly being with MiBoxer’s own product design or poor documentation. There is zero mention in their documentation or listings that only certain power supplies are compatible. This is either a serious oversight or deliberate misrepresentation.
If your time and money matter to you, I strongly advise avoiding this brand. Poor product reliability, misleading specifications, and truly awful customer service make this one of the worst experiences I’ve had with a hardware manufacturer.
I’ll be avoiding all MiBoxer products going forward, and I suggest you do the same.
