Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the product quality, particularly the operating system, which they found to be problematic and intrusive with unwanted updates. Customers also frequently reported issues with the technology, including difficulties with cloud sync, website navigation, and the functionality of peripherals like pens and onscreen keyboards. The customer service was a major source of frustration, with many struggling to get human support, experiencing robotic responses, and facing endless loops when trying to resolve issues. Reviewers also felt that the company’s approach to user experience was poor, citing enforced logins, data collection, and a general disregard for customer needs.

Been unable to receive or send emails

Been unable to receive or send emails. Storage issues, i purchase yearly subscription week ago still I am unable to send or receive any emails, has become very frustrating. There is no way you can get hold of them and there is no helpdesk or service that can help.

Microsoft Forces Repeated Password Changes

Microsoft Forces Repeated Password Changes on My Account – No Email Support Available, VPN Triggers It Again, and I Cannot Access My Own Account

I have used my Microsoft account for years across Xbox, Windows, and other services. Suddenly they require a password change for "security reasons" with no prior warning or explanation. I cannot proceed without complying.

Support options? Every contact method forces me to log in first, which restarts the same password reset loop. There is no official Microsoft support email address available.

When I use a VPN (standard for privacy), it immediately flags the login as suspicious and demands yet another password change. I am now completely locked out of my account unless I comply.

This is my account – I created it and have used it legitimately for a long time. Their terms should not allow permanent lockouts over security checks that never end.

This experience is exactly why many long-time users are switching from Windows to Linux.

I hope Microsoft sees this and fixes the lack of real support and overly aggressive password policies. 1 star.

Brought a new computer and we're unable to install Microsoft 365 on there. We have purchased personal, business and a seperate product key from store. 1 week of trying, 3 different email addresses and its still asking for a product key that the email wont produce. Business losing money this week, stadf can't complete any work, and its impossible to get in touch with Microsoft even when paying business premium.

Going to be closing my microsoft…

Going to be closing my microsoft account and possibly taking legal action over this

All they do is keep sending unsolicited spam emails, reported them and all they say is the complaint report/ticket has been resolved and closed as the ticket.

But they just keep coming relentlessly, so I'm very close to dragging this through the courts as harassment!

Least I'll get thje £30 back when they errornously started a subscription I didn't authorise back, when I get compensation for having to deal with this all day!

I will also be lodging a formal complaint with the ICO about this, saying that when ever I report unsolicited spam abuse, Microsoft just continues to send unsolicited spam abuse emails.

Have made a formal complaint with the ICO

Microsoft Workspace authentication issues

Microsoft Workspace account.
I added my phone, the code authenticator, and the passcode. Yet the only option to authenticate is "approval in Outlook app", which I don`t have anymore, and removed from my account as a 2FA option.

I just can`t understand how it can be so bad? How? I do everything right, but the most problematic ones are still the biggest ones. Microsoft, Meta, and Google. How?

Microslop

Microslop's initiative of shoving Copilot and AI into every single app is absolutely awful. I have not once found the AI to be useful in any way, if anything it is intrusive. I wouldn't give nearly as harsh a review if the AI features were off by default and could be opted into, but as far as I know every feature is on by default and you have to manually turn it off. Arguably even worse is how every update to any app or OS seems to be universally disliked, yet they continue to implement features that no one asked for and no one wants. Is it really that hard to listen to the actual users of your software? Apparently Microsoft dislikes the phrase 'Microslop' so much that they'll remove your review from app store if it contains that word, ban you from their discord for using that word, and then just lock their discord server when people call them out for what they are. Clearly, Microslop doesn't care what its consumers think of their product. Please call them Microslop every chance you get, maybe one day it'll get through to them that no one wants what they're pushing.

Absolute joke of a company can't even speak to a human to sort my problems out and the ai they have can't tell left from right you'd think with all the money they make they might at least provide the bare minimum but even that's too much for them.

ZERO ASSISTANCE by Microsoft - highly unprofessional

My son got hacked using his Minecraft account. As it is run by Microsoft, I rang Minecraft on three occasions to try and sort out the issues. After countless hours, they helped out 0%. They just made excuses and said that my son had to buy the Minecraft subscription again and set up a new Microsoft Online account. NO support, just deflected the issue so they did not have to help. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL despite it being a multinational corporation.

Least userfriendly company

Just test purchasing a license for Teams: it's a nightmare. Use Copilot then check your results versus using just ChatGPT with the same model: it's a joke.
Try the "search" function in Outlook; it's a joke.

Honestly, cannot wait for AI to replace microsoft.
