Now only online

Website says they are now only a web company until they find new "Suitable premises" . This means the owner is operating out of his house. Which means we are supposed to believe he has all of the stock in his spare room, the computer assembly line in his kitchen, and god knows where the repair centre is. I think it's time for all of us who have bad experiences to admit defeat.

Hello George. It is extremely unfortunate that your machine failed after just 18 months. This is VERY unusual I can assure you. And.. try as I did to have your laptop repaired free of charge, the manufacturer was reluctant to do so - and this, as has been explained to you is one of the reasons for the repair taking so long to complete. I am glad that in the end you understood this and that your laptop is now repaired and back in your hands as per your recent email.

INVISIBLE P.C From Nottingham A.K.A Millenium Music/Music P.C.Com

Ordered a high spec custom P.C from this man, A little over £2700 all I Have received is nothing but lies and excuses, there is a Delay on this part or another, this P.C. was ordered early August 2014, Individual knows how to play the system because the end of December I cancelled the order, he informed me that he cannot pay me back, I warned him that I would take him to court to get my refund and that I cant believe a word he says. he makes out that there other staff involved but he is the only one answering the phone. I contacted my card company to see if they would help, but as it was a Debit card and past 120 days they would or could not.Individual is obviously wise to this, I was too patient, he strung the build out so long he was laughing all the way to the Bank with my money. I have informed Nottingham Trading Standards and have pursued my money through the Courts. This Has cost me more money, so far over £200 just to be informed that he is not at the advertised trading address. The man is Brilliant at supplying High Spec Invisible Computers , the website is still going so avoid at all costs. I am retired and living on a pension, this £2700 plus has come out of my Life Savings, not that Individuall would care. It is September 2015 now and I still don't have a computer or my Money. AN update to this saga. millennium music replied shortly after my first review promising a refund. it is now 19 Dec. still no refund and the millennium music/music-pc.com has vanished from their second advertised premises. they say they are working hard to refund my £2700, good job they are not taking it easy as 12 months have past now and still no refund. cant believe a word they say, but I do believe millennium music have no intention of making my refund, But are working very at avoiding paying the refund and avoiding County Court Bailiffs. Received a reply here shortly after my last update, also the owner called me promising to pay my cash back, full of empty promises and sob stories how hard done by this thief is. I asked him how am I supposed to feel as I am disabled and had to retire early. I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE BEST PART OF £3000. the man is expert at avoiding paying dues and supplying high spec. invisible computers. 22/03/2016.

Nothing new here

Spent ages waiting for my computer after repeated promises. Finally arrived with no CD burner, and a copy of cubase already registered to someone else. Dozens of emails (I saved them all) no response. Avoid. Avoid Avoid... If anyone would like to see evidence, leave a message here. I have NEVER dealt with anyone this disrespectful. I only just discovered this page, had i seen it earlier, I would have went elsewhere.

UPDATE- STILL no new Cubase, and STILL no £100 promised. Over a year... NOTHING... I refuse to make any more calls. I'll sit here waiting for promises to be kept

I would not advise using this company

Millennium Music cannot be recommended on the basis of my experience. Having placed an order for a flight case 2 weeks elapsed but following email requests it became clear no valid delivery date was forthcoming, I therefore cancelled the order. On two separate occasions emails promising a refund within 48 hours were received, but the refund never appeared. I finally recovered my payment via. Paypal complaints procedure, which judging by the correspondence record Millennium Music failed to engage in. This repayment was over a month later in which time I was unable to purchase from an alternative source. My experience regarding communications with the company are broadly inline with the experience of other 1 star ratings here and I am only grateful that I was not as financially committed as they were. If you find it absolutely necessary to purchase from this company I would advise only using a payment method that gives you a high level of protection in the event of a dispute. However they are not a company I would remotely consider using again.

Do not buy from these crooks Millennium Music of Nottingham

Similar to other complainants on this website, I have had appalling treatment from this company. I ordered a custom made music computer on the 25th February, 2015. I was told it would take a month to build. As my present computer had failed and I had clients book to record in my studio, I said could they expedite the building. They told me yes, they would do it in two weeks. After many lame excuses, e-mails and phone calls, I finally cancelled my order on the 28th May. I have informed Millennium of this and that Barclaycard, I fortunately used to pay the £1289.96 with. Of course, I haven't heard anything back from Millennium Music. I would advise anyone not to have any dealings with this company. I have lost considerable earnings whilst awaiting a replacement computer and Barclaycard have yet to redeem their money. I am considering taking legal action to recover my loss of earnings.

Dear Mr Deacon. Please rest assured that we are addressing all of the issues raised on the Trustpilot website. Certain problems at that time caused delays on components and thus massive delays on supplying computers. However I am happy to say that these problems are being addressed and lead times on new PCs are coming down weekly and are now considerably lower than they were at your time of ordering. Please be assured that we have the very best intentions, at all times towards our customers and am extremely sorry that, in this instance we did not live up to expectations. Warm regards. Millennium Music.

Worst online experience ever with Millennium Music

This has been my worst on-line purchasing experience ever and I write this to warn others rather than out of any kind of resentment. As others here have said, it is very sad what is going on at this company. I only wish I had found and read these reviews before I spent over £1,400 on a custom build and waited 2 months to have nothing but a painful experience to show for it.

I ordered from Millennium Music on the basis that it could be done in over a week (wanted to get to grips with it during my holiday) and that software would come pre installed. All was agreed.

After the date promised on the order had arrived I rang up to be told by the person I can't name here, that it was on his desk and awaiting software installation.
Next day I rang again to be told that the wrong parts had been sent from Germany due to the holiday. So he hadn't even built it despite saying he had the day before. He promised me some freebies as an apology for the delay. My holiday passed - no PC.
Over a week later and more chasing, PC arrives with no freebies. An apology but no mention to forward them on.
Within 5 minutes of use a blue screen crash as heatsink had come loose during transport. Upon investigation I found that the cooler installed was different than the one I had ordered (he'd put one in that was half the price and not told me) and that cooler was broken and tied together with a plastic tie!! Unbelievable.

I returned the PC which took over a week for them to collect as I had to keep reminding him to sort it and he messed it up. He promised a quick fix and money off etc. I said I wanted a total refund as I had lost confidence.
He then wanted to reduce the refund amount because the time taken to install software on the machine! I refused. He accepted to refund only a week later coming back and asking for money off the refund again!

I made a paypal claim and then asked him to release the money to paypal as I needed to clear my credit card with this purchase on. What followed was a series of emails, including screen shots to say that he was trying to refund but couldn't! I rang him and told him forcefully to please ring paypal now as it would be released immediately... which he knew.. He eventually said 'I will ring them now' and put the phone down. Next day he sent an email with more excuses. He didn't ring and was just eeking out the 10 days until he would have to refund. I told him I knew this was his plan. On the 10th day he emails me to say he has just discovered that he has to ring paypal to release the money and I should get it today!!
It seems that he either enjoys taking the mick out of his customers or has so much going on that he has forgotten who he has done what with. Always a danger when you say things that aren't correct. I told him it was pathetic which is what it is.
Money refunded today. Thank you Paypal.
I have written to the company that makes cubase to complain as the millennium music website carries their logo and a quote from the company saying how good his elite systems are. That was part of what gave me confidence in using him. I would advise others who have been adversely affected to write to. People need to be protected against such a poor company.

Profoundly strange and protracted experience. I would like some compensation.

So this is probably the strangest experience I've ever had purchasing anything ever. I (stupidly) waited 6 months from purchase for them to make me a PC, and I still have nothing to show for it, other than a series of strange cryptic emails.

In the end I had to claim my money back (via Paypal) as the time limit to cancel purchases on debit and credit cards is 6 months. If I went over this period Millennium could have legally kept my money and provided me with nothing! Paypal strongly recommended against it.

Some observations I made while dealing with them:

Something is very wrong at Millennium Music. Things feel....weird. I sensed genuine apathy when dealing with my representative [name]. He was very quick to blame himself for the perpetual inaction/delays in obtaining components for my PC build (which didn't make it ok and seemed rather unprofessional in their frequency).

Strange excuses abound and opaque sentences are standard. A recent example from month 6 of my wait: "I've hopefully convinced them to ship the processor so that it will be with me early next week...." what does this mean? Why are you bartering with your suppliers?
In context, this was for a cpu that is readily available on [external reference] for next day delivery, nothing rare or unusual.

You get the impression that it is only [name] running the place also, which would explain some things, but still, orders shouldn't be taken which cannot be made.

You get the impression that they are in financial trouble. This is the only reason that i can think of for why their supplier would be reluctant to ship components. Also, when I came to ask for my refund, they were unable to do so because their accounts had no money in them.

Thankfully, paypal protection helped me here and after 10 days they were forced to pay my money back to me regardless.

After all of this rigmarole, I feel genuinely sad for [name] who is attracting all of this negative energy. The whole thing feels abit pathetic. I hope they can manag to get their act together and turn it around.

But I also feel that I should get some kind of compensation for getting dragged into this mess. I want my 6 months back!

People need to know that they should go elsewhere. I have gone to a competitor and they have dispatched my PC in 5 working days, and provided detailed progress updates on 8 stages of the build!

One final point here would be that some of the overtly positive reviews here seem a bit sussed; I would recommend that trustpilot look into the verity of them.... I wouldn't be surprised if there were some 'anonymous' accounts floating about, [name] did mention to me that they are 'fighting bad reviews'...as if this would help me in some way.

Dear Mr Hardman. Please rest assured that we are addressing all of the issues raised on the Trustpilot website. We were experiencing many problems in the supply chain at that time which, in turn, caused huge delays on our ability to complete computer systems. We are stringently addressing the issues which lead to the appalling feedback we have received and lead times on new PCs are now much lower than they were at your time of ordering. Please be assured that we have the very best intentions, at all times towards our customers and are extremely sorry that, in this instance we did not live up to expectations. Problem with 5 year old Pro Tools PC

Millenium supplied us with a Pro-Tools PC which unerringly worked perfectly for nearly 5 years. Then after a few winter months off it refused to boot up. We didn't want to return it to them as we had work to do, so I fired off an email for advice. By return came back the solution which I'd partially done anyway, but they were the experts, so it did exactly what was suggested in full. Hey presto it now works perfectly.
At every stage they were worth 5 stars, even 5 years after they sold it to us!

Do not use this comapny

24th Sept 2014 I ordered a keyboard from MM, the ad said, "Usually dispatched within 5 days. Five days came and went and had received nothing, not even a note to say where it was. Two weeks after ordering I was told, after enquiring, that they hadn't filled out the right paperwork with the supplier. After another week I cancelled my order. I was told I would have my money back in 7 days! In the end I had to use the credit card to get the money back off of them. I eventually got my refund on 27th Oct and the money only appearing in my account two days later.

Over two months with no money or keyboard. The biggest thing I found with MM was the lack of communication. I would only find things out if I asked and eventually they stop replying to my emails. I call that rude.

I would say that any company can give good service when things go well, it's how they deal with problems that shows their true colours.

Always great service - for 8 years

I have bought a shedload of equipment from Millennium music and have recommended them to many friends - and clients. Why? Because they listen and understand your needs, they will replace any faulty goods, they make and use audio equipment themselves and understand challenges. They don't try to pitch, they listen and supply. Usually as low cost as any other provider - and safe for after care - which I believe is priceless.

Do NOT buy from this company!

I ordered an LPHZ laptop stand about 7 weeks ago from this company. I was told in an email, as soon as I ordered it, that it wasn't in stock, despite the fact that this was not mentioned on the website. I was then told it would be delivered on "Friday". On Friday, a week later, it did not arrive. I phoned to ask when it would arrive, I was told the following Friday. It did not arrive. I phoned again to ask when it would arrive, I was told the following Friday, again. It did not arrive. This went on for 5 weeks. When I asked for a refund I had to phone a total of 12 times, to get this processed. In total I have made 25 phone calls to this company, and left several voicemails which were totally ignored. I have also had to call my bank, trading standards, consumer advice and citizens advice as I was fobbed off with endless excuses. How much money I have spent on phone calls, I would be interested to know, but I would not recommend ever buying from this company. Interesting that so many others have had the same experience and their Facebook page also shows many angered customers. I consider myself lucky that I managed to (eventually) get my money back.

I managed to find the same item, for half the price, with next day delivery before 1pm, newly listed on Amazon. I will be buying from there from now on.

Do not take the risk. I wonder if the positive reviews below are genuine...

A great service and good bunch of experienced guys

I recently purchased the following items for a new music studio I am building at my home:

Korg Kronos X 88, King Korg, Motu 828, Nord Stage 2 88, Focusrite Mk3 Octa Pre, 2 x stands, 2 x stools, ADT Condenser Mic, around £400 worth of Neutrik cables, 19" Rack Mount, Mic Stand, 2 x Focal CMS 65, 2 x Event 2010s, 2 x Studio VPX active speakers, 2 pairs of stands (heavy duty) and other odds and ends.

I have had no issues with my orders, received them as was agreed which was promptly as it should be. I had to replace the Motu as I needed to upgrade to the 828 and that was easy no fuss whatsoever, as you can see it was fairly large order and everything went smoothly. I have had communication at all times and received a great service. The guys go out their way there and have always given me good consistent and most importantly the right advice and have always spent time explaining about anything if I was not sure about something. Making time for me as a customer was just as important as placing an order. I am now in the process or ordering some more gear from them and look forward to my continued future purchases.

Mistakes and poor customer service with refund.

Kind of went like this -
Ordered online at the weekend. Got an email back on the Monday saying it had been priced wrongly and too cheaply by £80 on the internet and they would get back to me with what they would do. I emailed twice that week with no answer. On Friday I rang and he said he would ring me back in a few minutes when he'd looked at a few things. He didn't ring me back so closing time I rang again. Offered a reduced price from what it should have been but still £30 more than marked on the internet. Fair enough, but I asked for a refund instead. He said it would be processed by the next Wednesday as it was the weekend and would take time to come through. It didn't. Approxiately two weeks later I rang again. He apologised for forgetting and said he would put it on the list of things to do that day. Approxiimately 2 weeks later still no refund. This time I rang I sounded a bit more agitated, understandably as far as I was concerned, as he had been promising my £249 back for the last month, and it had delayed me being able to purchase elsewhere for over a month. He said something along the lines of "Ok, before you get angry, I'll do it now." He processed it whilst I was on the phone and a few seconds later I got the refund message from paypal on my phone. It took a few minutes to refund me but they delayed it for over a month before actually doing it. Very, very unhappy and will be shopping from phusical shops in the future.
