Mitre 10 New Zealand Reviews 

Hi,

I have been to Mitre10 Albany for 2 consecutive weekend to buy a whole set of shower box and other plumbing bits which cost me over 3k.
Staff were very helpful Jeremy and Jaqui have done a great job looking after me and Jeremy was so knowledgeable about his products.
After a week I have returned to the shop and returning a product that is not functioning well and it was replace right away with the help of the manager VISHAL.
I appreciate the way that Vishal handled the situation as he have performed the proper way of handling a costumer. 10 Star rating for the team.

Finally. After years of dealing with Mitre 10's clunky website, it appears they finally got around to doing a bit of DIY themselves. Just logged on, and it's so much easier to navigate now.

We bought a outside setting at Petone today and the young man who helped us was amazing,what we wanted wasn’t on show so he asked us to sit and went and brought this from a container.We we’re so impressed with his kindness to us .His name was Kaleb or Caleb not sure of the spelling ,great staff member Mitre 19 Mega Petone .

I visit the Mega store in Gate Pa, Tauranga often, always a treat and awesome service and products. I wanted a BBQ and Ashton who served me was very helpful and efficient. I bought my BBQ and he and a colleague helped me out to my car. Loaded it in, no rushing, so polite and helpful. Thank you team. Always dependable.

I returned a faulty heater for a refund. My mother had given it to me for my birthday. After the transaction I continued to shop in the garden center. On walking back past the service counter I overheard a loud conversation beteeen 3 staff, led by Denise. Denise was basically calling me a thief and berating me to the other staff saying I’d refunded the item against my mother’s will and the transaction should never have been allowed. On hearing this I confronted Denise who apologized profusely and called for a manager. The manager nodded and said all the right things but I have no confidence that Denise will be in anyway disciplined for this horrific behavior. Denise’s tone was one of mocking and I left the store feeling extremely upset with my integrity in tatters.

Just got 2x 40 and 1x30 kg bags of garden mix Whakatane Bunnings ,no trolleys no offer to help and staff not busy, Second time this has happened I’m an older woman and had to lug to the car my self , won’t be doing it again , atleast Bunnings has trollies

Placed an order online and got completely messed around. It took 3 phone calls to the store and 2 weeks to receive my package that was missing half of the order. Customer service over the phone was lovely and very helpful but over all a terrible experience.

Went too Morrinsville Mitre 10 Saturday 9th September in the morning. I however found the man serving quite rude!!
He didnt look like a local, but even my daughter pointed it out.
He was friendly to the customers in front of us, telling them about a prize draw they can enter, and as soon as it was our turn, nothing, no hello, nothing regarding a prize draw, just handed the ticket to say we can enter. Not sure what his problem was, but not that keen in returning anytime soon.

I gave one star because 3 people couldn't help us in trade departments. Manakau store we wanted a trailer and cage,even though it was advertised on line you stock them NO LUCK.

3 years ago I purchased a Nilfisk Water Blaster that turned out to be a "Lemon" It just never worked fully as it should have.After 3 visits to authorised repairer over time I was told required new part was NO LONGER available in NZ. A tripback to Mitre10 explaining my trouble saw my waterblaster returned to Auckland and totally repaired with a repair account of over $300. ( more than original cost of new unit) Due to all my woes with my water blaster
Mitre 10 came to the party and Paid the repair account for me. Management and Staff were exceptional in every aspect of my trouble

I tried for five hours to buy a convection heater on line and to be delivered to RD1 Coalgate 7673 and it was the most complicated experience I have ever had and ended up with no heater. Absolutely would never try to buy, or advise anyone to buy on line with Mitre 10.

I go there for the helpful service. Always great people to ask before buying products.

Mitre 10 Albany can be a bit hit and miss, sometimes some of the staff are friendly and helpful, sometimes not. My low rating is based on the type of staff Mitre 10 employs and their service. If I have more than 3 unpleasant experiences in a place of business it will be noted.

Just everytime I go in there is a lack of good service some are great overall average experience everytime if bunnings comes to ww thats where I will go.

Came into the Westgate store a week ago with a friend and was delighted to see Donna back in the garden dept…..Hooray!
Not only does she give amazing customer service but has a wealth of knowledge….please don’t let her go anywhere again !!

I bought a small firepit but the service was large, respectful and kind.
Not my nearest store to shop at but I would drive here again any day ! Thanks guys you are doing your bit and doing it well for your community !

I would only rate this for Jocelyn who works at wardrobe department. she has gone out of her to help us. she is a huge asset. she was on lunch break. the team member were not efficient enough to helps us and had to call her to get us sorted. she even helped in lifting and putting the stuff in car. highly recommend her.

our ordered stuff had arrived 2 weeks ago no one called us from mitre 10. so very poor service.

Appalling service. My Click and Collect order at Albany had been missed so I was told to return later. Clearly unless mitre 10 want to fund my time and petrol I didn't intend to come back. So they went to collect the order (placed 2 days prior) then. I waited. When it was ready I put in my car, unfortunately the bag of concrete had a hole in it and went all through my car, my handbag, my shoes and all over the ground in the carpark. When I went back to ask for a replacement and a hand to clean out my car before it gets wet and turns to concrete you would think I had asked for the world. I asked for a dustpan and brush but they couldn't find one! The customer support staff were not at all supportive and seemed to need to discuss how they were going to go about my simple request in great detail costing me yet more time. Will not be returning EVER.

We brought the Richardson from mega 10 they had a shed they said was different model but the same build quality in their yard at New Plymouth , it wasn’t the shed we got, the shed was flimsy with no quality check , the picks show where nails have missed the wood on a number of panels the wood had knots the took up 100% of the radius pictured and cracked , the cladding was cracked in places due to being so thin ,there were square drive screws mixed in with the pozi drive screws and the delivery was shocking we were mucked about by mega10 they held it up for a month saying someone needs to be on site to sign for it then the truck was in getting a COF, the driver was sick they also booked it for delivery when Taranaki’s anniversary was on , they don’t deliver then, finally they delivered without a person there telling us no sig needed. It isn’t the putting right that counts it’s the getting right from the start that matters, I hate time wasters and that’s what this offers.
