My car was in this garage for 2 years.
I have had to fight every step of the way to get it back. It arrived back home on the 4th March and on my return home from holiday on the 11th March I find a dent on the bonnet of my car that the garage denies doing. On driving it, it was found to be misfiring. ???? It was supposed to be fixed and now it needs to go back.
In March 2023 I was advised the pulleys on my car had failed so it went back in after having had a timing chain replaced or so I was informed.
It then need 2 new camshafts in April? an inlet cam cvt pulley replaced in November, an oil pump feb 2024, rebuild of the engine May, new camshafts fitted August, exhaust cam August, new water pump Feb 2025. It’s had everything replaced over 2 years he has had it.
Timing chain was replaced in 2022, 2024 and today I have taken it to a trustworthy mechanic who states I need a new timing chain,
This garage never replaced any timing chains as stated. It goes in with one thing that does not get fixed and requires multiple returns and even then after two years he still did not fix it.
I have now been told I need a new timing chain yet it was only replaced a few months back.
My other car had a repair of its engine by him and it has never driven right since because it was not repaired and I had another garage take it and fix the mess that he left.
This is not an accredited garage-beware.

This garage fixed my car but dishonestly cheated me out of 1300pnds.They overinflated the price of the parts they bought and my warranty paid a 1300 less.whwn i complained about this to my warranty,the lady at the warranty company sent me the price the garage gave them which was almost a 1000pnds more than they invoice they sent me.The lady also said that their own engineer stated that the other things like oil the quoted for me was reuseable but this garage charged me for it.I ended up paying the difference of 1300.I am making a complaint to ombudsman and taking this to claims court.They saw a vulnerable person and decided to dishonestly make such wxtra money from me.If you have to use this garage..make sure you do ur research.

I used MK Diagnostics over a number of years for a few different cars. Funny thing how a MOT always turned into a big bill with MK Diagnostics. When I stopped using them, I took my car to a main franchised dealer and it always passed the MOT without any extras being worked on. My worst experience however was with a car that I took to them every few months for the same problem. They kept charging me hundreds for every visit, yet the problem never went away. Eventually I had to scrap the car. I think either MK Diagnostics don't know what they are doing and are guessing at my expense or worse still they were trying to make extra money on optional or unnecessary items. I was quite upset at myself after looking back at my years of loyalty to MK Diagnoistics. It really made me think that most of the auto garages are untrustworthy crooks.

I Have Been Using MK Diagnostics for over 15 Years and Never in that time had a Problem, with their efficiency or repairs they carry out the work at reasonable prices.
The staff are courteous and very helpful, and informative, always go out of there way to help.
Even when I moved out of MK to Potterspury they still come and collect and deliver my car at no extra charge. "THAT'S WHAT I CALL GOOD SERVICE"
Keep it up Andy,Mike and the crew. Your in safe hands with these guys

Great Company & Service. Had the car picked up from work for airbag light. They managed to diagnose the problem with ease, they phoned to confirm parts and work, requested a replacement after market part (but was also choice of manufacturers). After part fitted, I requested an MOT which they fitted in at the end (without notice) - same day! Barry & Team couldn't be more hospitable. Car dropped off and 1 happy customer & car.

At first it was very good seeing the prices, and having a good service. Then, tried to sham me on unneeded repair so i went to a different garage. The problem was completely different, and I could see the difference afterwards. Now I am the happy customer of a garage which charges a little less even, but are so far more honest. Never again

I took my car there and had to trust them to do a big engine job. After having issues with the car since them doing the work and taking them back they fobbed me off, were unhelpful and rude. Having now taken it to a specialist they have informed me my engine has a fuel leak because they reused the old gasket instead of replacing it (which you should always do) saved themselves a few £££ didn't they. Now I am having to pay to get the job done right. Sharks, obviously cant be trusted.

I have been using MK Diagnostics for servicing and MOTs for a while and can say they are reliable, honest and fair priced. I would recommend them to friends. Generally I am mistrustful of garages and this is one of the best in MK.

Won't be using them anymore,the mechanic who did the mot was rude and obnoxious. After the car failed I did the work took it back for the retest at the time I was given only to be told the mechanic had gone home because he was having a new boiler fitted, he must have known about this beforehand,but still told me to go back. When I said I wouldn't be paying for another mot because I wasn't at fault it was the garages,it was written in as a free retest. I got a call saying it had failed again,but not on what he said originally. Went to pick car up, he won't let me have it back until I've paid for another mot, even though he was moaning about it being in his way. Fuming is an understatement. I used to recommend them but will be telling people to steer well clear in future.

Very happy with the service and mot on my vehicle, will not use anywhere else.

Took my car in today as it had an exhaust blow, the car was checked whilst I waited and the problem shown to me. It was a hole in the rear exhaust part which was repaired within the hour. I'm always a bit worried that I'm getting charged too much, so once k was home I phoned 2 other garages to get a price on the work that MK Diagnostics had done only to find that MK diagnostics charged me over £20 less than the other garages would have.

Very impressed! Will certainly use them again.

Avoid the car servicing and repairs company MK Diagnostics in Milton Keynes at all costs.

I normally do all my own car work but for the first time ever I tried paying a garage (MK Diagnostics) to complete a major service and MOT on my car (for various reasons), but as I don't trust garage mechanics I marked (I won't into details in case they read this review) all the service parts so I knew if they have actually bothered replacing the parts they say they will.

I took the car down in morning and midday got a call saying the car needed new front discs (because they were warped) and pads for the MOT as the inside pads was only 1.5mm (MOT failure)

Telephone conversation;
Owner; "We noticed the discs are warped on the brake inbalance test. Have you noticed vibrations when braking hard?"
Me; "No I haven't (because there wasn't any!). I want to come and see the problems myself"
Owner; "Ok"
20 mins later I am there to see the 'warped discs' and 'low pads'
Owner; "well I have the given one of the brakes a quick bleed through and it seems to have fixed the problem"
Wow. Bleeding a brake with the car flat on the ground without taking the wheel off is impressive enough but bleeding a brake to fix warped metal is magical
Me; "yes there is nothing wrong with the discs"
Owner; "yeah I think we can just about get the discs through the MOT but the pads DEFINITELY need doing- you can have a look if you want to"
I couldn't check them in situ so I made them jack the car up and pull the wheel off. The pads were PERFECT with ~6mm pad left on both sides!!!
Me; "there is nothing wrong with the pads"
Owner; "mumble mumble... yeah they're fine... but we will check the other side just in case.."

They had tried to charge me for 100% completely unnecessary work to pass the MOT. Needles to say I was fuming. The service was done next and I wasn't holding my breath.

I went to collect the car this evening but with my spare key so I could check it over before paying and getting my key back. The oil filter, fuel filter and cabin filter had NOT been changed or checked (despite that being explicitly detailed in their service plan).
The owner called me over to pay but I told him I needed to speak to him about the car and showed him the problems. He tried making up some lame excuses but eventually said he could see they had not been touched and said he 'knows which mechanic it was and was going to have words with him'. He gave me the MOT (with totally unnecessary advisories) and 'service' for free. I know why they did that. This review website has previously taken off bad reviews of their company because 'the customer has no proof of purchase'.

FOLLOW UP; As predicted MK Diagnostics flagged my review and it was taken down by Trustpilot due to having 'no proof of purchase' but after NUMEROUS email exchanges they were finally able to accept the service stamp, MOT certificate and collection SMS as proof of the work. Please be warned there have been negative reviews here before that have been taken down - this will be a lone negative review but I have had to fight to keep it up here to warn everyone!

I have had so much bad luck with garages in mk and have finally found one that doesn't want to rip me off. Just had my mot done and my car was even picked up and dropped off. So happy right now as was dreading a huge bill and millions of advisorys!

I totally forgot that my MOT ran out last week, it wasn't until I went to tax it that I noticed! Oops! I called MK Diagnostics on the off chance that the had time to do it and they made time! I was in and out in 45 minutes, and more impressively they replaced a couple of bulbs that needed fixing straight away! And now I'm all taxed and roadworthy again :) happy bunny :)

I've been in mk all my life been to hundreds of mechanics who have overcharged and tricked me after all my life of searching I have found a gem!!

I had my car serviced and mot'd and not only was it the cheapest in mk the staff treated me really well, I would always use them in future and highly recommend them to my friends and family

Very helpful staff and perfect service! The price was a lot less than I thought, pleasant surprise! Will certainly use again :)
