If there was a 'zero' score MMT would…

If there was a 'zero' score MMT would have it. My wife (an NHS professional) made contact with them and they offered to check my cards, etc. Information provided and many repeat authority letters sent. Received an e-mail 2 days before cut off date for PPI stating not enough time for them to claim and suggesting doing it myself. Luckily I wasn't on duty and submitted claim myself. My claim accepted by HSBC. Suddenly received claim letter from MMT for costs. No intention of paying. Now receiving letters pursuing fees from Solicitor. Also received email from MMT on 24.12.21 that states "As of 24 June 21 MMT are no longer authorised by the FCA for claims management activities". Have asked their solicitor for substantiating documentary evidence under 'rules of disclosure' and now receiving gibberish requests from a third party on line who is apparently unable to find requested paperwork/evidence!

I've given them a one star rating as…

I've given them a one star rating as until a month ago I started receiving phone calls from them I told them then to remove my details from their system and they agreed to do so but they are still causing me harassment by calling me every day sometimes three to four times a day they are useless

Dreadful. No stars.

After being told i have a successful claim and the money will be in my account within 28 days a year has past and I am still waiting despite multiple contact attempts. If i was owed money they have taken it all clearly with no plan of actually giving it to me.

I wouldn't even give them one star

I wouldn't even give them one star! I put two claims in and the settlements came in December 2019/January 2020 and I was waiting for the bills, but it did not come and due to Covid 19, I could not get hold of the company. I then heard from the company in July 2020, asking for their money for one of the claims, by letter, email and of course phone and I told them not to call me between certain times, due to my job, did they listen, no. I also explained I could not give a definite time I would finish work, as I am a nurse. I also informed them I had received the payment for the other claim and then they chased me for the paperwork, as the had not received anything from the other company. I have used other companies to claim before and have never been harassed like this before. Normally your given time to pay, not this company! All they seem to be bothered with is their money and don't give a sh.. about the customer. I wouldn't recommend them or use them again!

Successful claim but be prepared to be harassed!!!!!

I used this company to make my claim because I thought I'm not fussed about having to pay charges for money I never had or had to go out and work for.
I have had successful claims, every little counts I suppose however with successful claims comes a lot of hassle from the money management team, I've lost count of the number of calls I had asking have you received your cheque yet, everytime had to say no but when I do you will get paid!!!! Actually decided to answer a calk today, I immediately said no I haven't received the cheque yet from my claim but guaranteed you'll get your money when I do, only to be told by some jobsworth I'm sorry but we have to go through some security questions before I can accept your statement and you will continue to receive calls from us about your claim!!! In other words we'll keep harassing you until we get our money!!!!
Obviously I told the staff I'm ending this call right now then.... They are so blocked!!!! They're a nuisance.
I would not recommend them.

SHOP DIRECT

my claim was mostly for SHOP DIRECT & now with the current situation its has been an extremely slow process after many requests for further information I've never been sure that they have definitely received it & then they have to investigate it, I'm fed up of not knowing the outcome as much as MMT have been in touch its been very slow.

so far, so bad....

To be fair, I am writing this review before my PPI claims are concluded, but review represents the experience so far. Agree with other reviews, that I get snarky emails and phone messages saying they have been trying to contact me, but no missed calls. They are processing claims for my deceased relative. One lender pushed back and said if I didn't have certain types of paperwork, then they would not proceed. MM told me that they had to follow the lenders process and so would close my claim ( I don't have that paperwork). I have reminded MM that I am paying them, so why are they not:
1. advising me on my legal position, I think I am still entitled to a claim, the lender is just taking the 'p'
2. they work for me, not the lender, so why are they bending over re the process? and
3.they won't get any money if they don't push for the complaint to be processed.
It has also taken ages to hear anything, I did submit up near the Aug deadline, but heard nothing for months and months, then these urgent calls/emails started........not impressed so far, but if I get anywhere with this, will re-reveiw

One star is too much

One star is too much. I have been bombarded with phone calls, texts and emails since I won a PPI claim. I have explained over the phone I no longer have a local bank that I can take it to. I informed them repeatedly when I could travel to a bank. I contacted my bank to no avail. I was promised my account would be put on hold but that didn’t stop all the phone calls etc
I still haven’t banked the cheque but I have paid my account with MMT due to the unpleasant nature of their last email. I have informed them I do not have he funds to cover their bill but I just want to stop the harassment. Their terms and conditions state that you don’t have to pay until after you have banked the cheque so why have I been hassled to the point of threat of debt collectors. Sadly the cheque will not help me financially as my car was broken into the same day I won my claim so I will be in a worse position due to the bank charges I’m incurring but all the calls texts and emails from them have stopped. They are not even interested in answering my complaint

I'm starting to think that they are…

I'm starting to think that they are corrupt. I have been contacted 3 times now to provide information on 3 different claims, shortly after providing them with the relevant information to support my claim, I have been contacted via email explaining that after further investigations that actually there was now PPI. I'm now wondering if the company are putting in the claims and keeping the refunds for themselves. I have used other PPI companies who have dealt with my claims very quickly. Never have I ever been told that yes I had PPI on a loan or credit card only to be told that actually this was a mistake. Think I shall be taking this to the financial ombudsman. I have a bad feeling that I am about to be ripped off.

Took nearly 2 years for a PDL claim

Took nearly 2 years for a PDL claim, got around 4 updates in that time, didnt mind though.
However received an email on 4th Oct detailing amount awarded and given a time frame of 28days for the funds to clear in my account. No issues there as my claim had been ongoing for a while. The only major flaw for me was the MM team calling me 3 days later looking for there money and sounding annoyed at the fact my refund hadnt gone in! My advice would be to stick to the timeline you gave me (28 days) then call chasing your money

Dreadful PPI claim experience

I can't believe that this company has a 4.6/5 on Feefo. The service has been dreadful. I also used them as Health Service Discounts recommended them. Too many phone calls that when returned were a waste of time. Chased for paperwork we had already returned. Chased again to then be told it had actually been received and finally to cap it all today I have been told that they haven't received my paperwork and have closed my claim. It is now too late to make a claim through another company and feel totally let down.

A complete waste of time

How I wish these reviews had been here when I opted to use this company. Fortunately I think I probably have only ever paid tiny amounts of PPI. I can’t bear to start again with a new company after months if trying to find paperwork and sending these people the same information over and over.
I actually wonder if they are backed by the big companies to prevent people reclaiming their money.
They now ring me two to three times daily, leaving me messages to ring them back because they need more information. I have blocked their number so hopefully that is the end of it.

IF YOU WANT TO GET YOUR PPI BACK, USE SOMEBODY ELSE.

Useless

Useless. Promised the world and delivered nothing. Sent them 10 years worth of bank statements in paper form, as you can imagine that's a lot of paper. As a result I had to send them in multiple envelopes of which apparently they received exactly zero. Continual denial they never received them and the Royal Mail had lost over 20 separate letters. Now I have no chance of ever claiming because they started and took too long too reply to the relevant companies and solicitors. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I thought using a company would help me…

I thought using a company would help me avoid the stress of doing it myself! Joke! I was pretty certain I had not paid any PPI, but I wanted to make sure.
The first paperwork they sent had my name spelled wrongly. The second set was identical to the first. The third set had other mistakes on. Eventually they got it right. I should have heeded this as a bad omen!
They told me one of my cards had PPI on it. As I was sceptical I phoned them myself - it didn't. I had to keep phoning Money Management as they were not good at keeping me updated.
I was uncertain about my 2 mortgage lenders. The first one had no PPI, the second said they could not find me so I had to send copies of my statements with account numbers etc on them I heard nothing more so I contacted Money Management who told me the mortgage company had no record of me paying PPI. I never heard from Money Management again, not even an email to say everything was checked and there was no PPI paid. (as I had originally thought) There was nothing in it for them, so all pretence of being a good company went out the window.
Do it yourself it is quicker and far less stressful than dealing with this company.
