5 Star

I place an order for Horizon Wahsing Powder , which I was advised was out of stock after the order was received.
However Alice in their office kept me fuly up to date each time and was very helpful with all the updates. for the re-arranging of the delivery.
I would use them again if the products are available as they offer a 5 star service !

Ordered 4:20pm, Arrived 9:20am next morning.

Excellent service and speedy delivery from Monkey Office.

I ordered two items from their Office Supplies range at 4:20pm and was very impressed to see them delivered by 9:20am the next morning.

All in all a great experience.

Not the best, best to look elsewhere

Not the best, placed an order and heard nothing for 10 days so I contacted them and was told items are out of stock and I'd have to wait. Why couldn't they of told me items were out of stock the ones shouldn't be on the customer.

You should have been informed promptly when your items were found to be out of stock. Unfortunately, due to a system error, we did not automatically notify you of this via email. As soon as you contacted us on 22nd October, we provided the estimated delivery date and committed to keeping you updated.
My colleague also spoke with you this morning to confirm that your delivery is expected to arrive today.
We’ve raised this issue to our IT team to investigate the back order email not being sent so this doesn't happen again.

Very disappointing experience.

- Created order
- Was emailed shortly after I would have to wait nearly 2 months for it to arrive.
- Attempted to cancel, and was magically told the item was coming tomorrow. It didn’t.
- Finally told the item was damaged and I was due a refund.

I’m giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because at least they did contact me. They’ve got basically no control over the supply chain which resulted in a big waste of time.

As mentioned during our communication, the item you ordered was dispatched directly from the manufacturer, which can sometimes affect delivery timelines. While we were able to bring the delivery forward from the original estimate, unfortunately the item was damaged in transit by the courier.

We understand how disappointing this must have been and have since issued a full refund to your card

My go-to stationery supplier

My go-to stationery supplier. Brilliant service, usually next day delivery. Rare minor issues have always been resolved without fuss. I have seen other people commenting about stock levels. They should be more observant - the stock level is shown for every item so if you order something that is currently out of stock, that’s on you!

Lack of stock

They don't appear to carry many items in stock, but allow customers to go through the whole buying process, including paying, before letting the customer know items are on back order, then the restock date is put back, and put back again. Not a serious company, avoid like the plague.

MonkeyOffice replied with the same email they sent me however, there is no obvious out of stock message during the buying process - it is there but it is very small. Reputable online traders prevent buyers from adding items to their baskets if there is no stock, MonkeyOffice does not. People reading the large number of Trustpilot reviews about this issue can make their own judgement of MonkeyOffice, I know I won't ever try and buy from them again.

We do allow items to be placed onto back order as this is preferred by our regular customers.
The website does state on each item it's availability. This is also shown in the checkout process advising the item is out of stock and search for an alternative.
As a company we do send automated emails to update on back orders if the date changes.
After you have spoken with a colleague, the order has now been cancelled and refunded in full today.

I urgently needed a ream of special paper…

I needed a ream of special paper urgently and saw they splashed next day delivery on their website

Always the sceptic I 'phoned and they assured me that apart from any unforseen event they always deliver next day, and confirmed they had it in stock.

I ordered it online mid afternoon and quickly got a confirmation.
IT ARRIVED AT 8:39 THE NEXT MORNING!

EXCELLENT SERVICE.

Not great

Not great - Be warned people, their telephone number from a mobile phone will cost you approx £1.85 per minute. I had to call them to cancel an order after they accepted my order but had no stock of the item, then I had e mail after e mail of updates explaining that my delivery date kept being put back. Eventually the items I needed surpassed the work they were booked for so I had to cancel my order, not knowing that this cost this much to make a simple phone call to them, they are obviously earning out of this which in my opinion is a scam in itself.
In answer to your response below - Here are the details on my e mail confirmation which gave an 0845 number to call, this resulted in an absolute extortionate call rate to call you to cancel an order you could not fulfil.

Our 0345 is a local rate number and is charged accordingly, depending on your mobile phone provider and tariff. taking orders without stock

I purchased 6 packs of blank dvds as they were showing they were in stock, they take my money without a hitch. I then get an email 3 days later which was two days after delivery should have been made to inform me they're out of stock and that they will receive stock a week later. No option to cancel, just an ultimatum to wait. I sent them a reply immiedatley that I wanted my money back. I've only just received the refund after requesting one a week previous and if I hadn't of seen it in my bank I wouldn't have even known as they didn't have the decency to inform me about it.

This company is awful, Communication poor, taking orders without stock and as someone who purchases a lot of blank media I'd never purchase from them again.

Their competitors have the decency to update their websites when there's no stock which is why I was left with these as all other competitors had none, I thought it was strange they were the only stock on google. Lesson learnt, Be warned.

I have investigated our process and I can clarify the following points.
I can see that your order was placed on the 12th November at 02.52am. As part of our standard process we sent an email on the 13th November to advise that the item was out of stock, we also follow this up with a telephone call on the same day. At the time the order was placed our website would have shown that the item was out of stock and would have been marked as call for availability.
You also made contact with us by email requesting a refund, this was replied to on the 13th and the refund actioned at this point. Due to banking processes, depending on who you bank with it can take between 3-5 days to show in your account.

Great customer service

I ordered pencil cases which were out of stock everywhere. They did end up being out of stock but Monkey Office kept me up to date with when they were receiving stock. I did not see this as a problem, as I saw it as more of a supplier issue because they still aren't available with other companies.

Was very skeptical and suspicious after…

Was very skeptical and suspicious after looking at the reviews but they had a product I wanted for the best price I could find.

I called up and they said they had stock coming soon and if I ordered now I'd have it in a couple of days, didn't want to risk it after seeing all the reviews about long waiting times after ordering, so I checked again on the day I was told I'd receive them if I ordered and their stock levels had updated to reflect the amount they said they were going to receive.

So I took the risk and ordered and I received the goods the next morning! Checked the items and they were all legit and came in excellent condition. Will definitely be using them again.

Could have been good, but it's over now

Ordered and paid for goods.
Jotter pads no longer available, despite being advertised on their site.
Reward voucher not sent - not informed of this until I chased.
Invoice still not received 11 days after order.

If you like constantly chasing stationery companies up for delivery and information, these are the people for you.

Apologies the Jotter pads were a discontinued item that we missed removing from our website. These have now been marked as discontinued and unable to add to basket. As advised on our website when ordering Reward vouchers these do take between 3-5 working days to be delivered.

45 days and still waiting for my order

I place and paid for a box on the 11th May.
A week later got an email to say it was on back order and another a further week later.
Then nothing until I asked where my box was, to be told that the company were having problems manufacturing them, but they would be in stock on the 20th June, still no sign of the box nor an email informing me of the progress of my order.
I have asked why they are advertising and selling items that they don't have in stock and seem to have problems getting hold of them, to receive no reply.
They may be cheap, but I would avoid this company, pay a bit more and be confident of actually getting your order

Hello, thank you for your feedback. We do allow items that are not in stock to be placed onto back order so when they do arrive in we can ship them straight out to our customers. Are process is to email customers with updates when dates change. You are more than welcome to leave the item on back order, or we can of course arrange to cancel and refund you for the item. I can see the automated emails are not being reached by you for some reason so I will raise this with our IT team. In the meantime, I have emailed you directly with regards to your order to provide an update.

Total waste of space

Total waste of space. I wish I had read reviews before ordering, as I usually do. I ordered an item on the 20th March (which incidentally is still showing available 5-7 days on their website on the 28th of April) I was told the item was on back order and should be dispatched 20th of April to which, although was highly annoying, I agreed. No contact from these jokers since the email on the 20th April. I have now telephoned 3 times to get an update with no joy whatsoever. They have managed to phone me back once out of the three times they said they would. I did say if they had no news by the 26th I wanted a full refund but I've heard nothing since. (and they still have my money) This order has been totally mishandled from day one with no communication whatsoever from them and they have had my money over a month now. Steer clear unless you want a load of hassle.

Cowboy office

If I could give the service I received a 0 I would. Spent over £500 on office stationery and various items, which stated some of the items would be next day delivery as its plastered all over there website. We've waited 3 days to be told next day delivery is not a guarantee and the items are currently out of stock which was not and still not advertised on there website. I'd avoid this company like the plague very unprofessional and can only hope if you do order from this ropey establishment you get a better experience then I did. Absolute shambles not happy.

Kept postage money even though order was cancelled

Ordered item for next day delivery to find out of stock after I’d ordered. Cancelled order for full refund but they never refunded the postage even though postage was never used what a con.

Failed to Deliver Next Day

Ordered 35 memory sticks for next day delivery. Only 10 arrived and no effort at all to get the extra 25 memory sticks to me before my event. Won't be using this company again!

I hadn't previously heard of this…

I hadn't previously heard of this company, but was recommended it by a random person online when I was looking to buy some Really Useful storage boxes.

There isn't much in the way of reviews for this company online and there are quite a few negative reviews on this website. So I was apprehensive about ordering from them. But the prices were too good, so I decided to take a punt.

My concerns were unnecessary. The transaction was really smooth. I placed my order for an embarrassingly large quantity of large size Really Useful boxes before the cut off time for next day delivery, and the next morning, at 9am, all of them showed up in immaculate condition with no damage. Storage box shopping online is usually a nightmare as you can't pick the ones you want based on their quality, but in this case, the boxes chosen for me were excellent.

Highly recommended and will be using again in the future. Many thanks!
