Thrilled by a 20 € discount, I happily paid Monoprix’s inflated prices—next-day delivery included! As a single mum with two kids, that sounded heavenly.
Then, just as I was imagining the refined taste of premium kefir… ping! A text: “Your order has been cancelled.” No reason, no compensation, no remorse.
Two hungry children. One hopping-mad mother. Zero kefir.
Moral of the story: if it sounds too good to be true, it’s probably being delivered by Monoprix while Jeff sits in his mansion snacking on your crudités.

Terrible Experience - Avoid at All Costs!
Monoprix rue de l'Abreuvoir - Courbevoie
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent visit to this Monoprix was genuinely one of the worst shopping experiences I've ever had.
First and foremost, the store was appallingly dirty. The floors were grimy and littered with debris, there were spills that hadn't been cleaned up, and several shelves looked like they hadn't been wiped down in weeks. It made me question the hygiene standards, especially for fresh produce.
To make matters worse, the staff were incredibly aggressive and unhelpful. I tried to ask a question about an item, and the employee I approached responded with a rude, dismissive tone, making me feel like I was a huge inconvenience. I witnessed similar interactions with other customers, which indicates a systemic problem with customer service. It's a truly unpleasant atmosphere to shop in.
I understand that busy periods can be challenging, but there's no excuse for a filthy environment and such disrespectful treatment of customers. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere and strongly advise others to do the same until significant improvements

Had a need to get some ingredients for a gathering tonight. The Monoprix website states that the item was available at their "Vaugirard" store at 159 rue Blomet. I dashed to that address. There is no Monoprix store there.
I then dashed to the next nearest store on rue Vaugirard. The sign on the door and on the Monoprix website states that this store is open until 22h00. Tonight I arrived at 21h38 . They refused me entry. Perhaps Monoprix might want to learn how to update their website. But first they need to learn how to read a clock.

Their delivery service is obviously a neglected remnant of COVID days, fully mismanaged and inept. They ask for your building entrance codes, make you agree to leave deliveries with your guardien, and even still each time their drivers claim falsely not to be able to deliver. One waits for a driver who never comes, they cancel your order and you have to try again many days later. They should quit this business.

I absolutely love shopping here! They have a fantastic selection of groceries and even stylish fashion items that always keep me coming back for more. 😀
Okay, it was a overstatement a bit… but guys, I'm telling you this is probably the best supermarket you can find here You can really see the difference in the products, compared to other markets… plus, the atmosphere is always so nice and inviting. If you're looking for something special, this is the place to be... can be a lifesaver

The female cashier wrongfully forced a bag search without any probable cause, henceforth I insisted the cashier best check the CCTV to verify her error, but she instead picked up her receiver and dialled for security on my family. Moments later, the security guard arrived with an ipad that contained a live CCTV feed, therefore he would have been fully aware there was no issue, yet he still insisted on the cashier’s unjustified search of my personal belongings. Take note, only the authorities can enforce a bag search, and store policy or contract upon entry into supermarket are insufficient grounds. Prior to this, the female cashier was ushering the local customers to jump ahead of us in the queue, and when I flagged this up, she then demanded a bag check in response, that constitutes as a misuse of one’s professional position, furthermore her attitude towards my British family was just appalling.
Sometimes I love Monoprix, and other times it leaves me feeling like I've just left McDonalds. Some of the stores, like one by Bastille has everything I want. I love the Monoprix premium line. Then there are other ones not located toward the peripherique that have dirty floors, and sell products after their expiration date. But after returning from a recent trip to eastern Europe, I am so happy to have one store that has everything I need!
I wish I could give -5 stars instead of this 1 star.
I've been coming to Monoprix Rue du Commerce for 3 years nearly every month, because they have good range of products.
I am never e-v-e-r setting foot in any Monoprix store or ordering from their online store after the horrendous treatment I received today.
I will make spreading the word my mission so that everyone knows what kind of horrible customer service standards they're upholding in 2023, at times when these kind of horrible customer mistreatments can break and make your businesses reputation.
First of all, educate your security staff on how to engage with clients, and distinguish the shoplifters from regular customers.
I came and purchased skincare and some food products totalling to 40-50 euros. As I was leaving the food checkout, the security guard stopped me with a very rude attitude, no please, no excuse me, no good day. I was taken a back from this. Then he took his time, pretending some products were extra, completely ignoring the receipts in front of him. How convenient....
Then his other 2 rude colleagues came and noticed (finally) the receipt was standing in front of them. No apology, no have a good day.
As all consumers, you always get asked about having your bags checked. But never in my life, I have never been put in this situation before. Never encountered such rude behaviour, and attitude.
You lost a very good customer. Hope to never see your rude faces again.
Mandelieu - First time I went into this shop when I arrived inFrance we went through the self-service till. Something did not go through & till alerted the assistant. She came barging by like an elephant and stood on my foot. Her response was to say that well she had said “excuse me” - so basically it was MY fault that she stood on my foot because I didn’t make enough room for her fat backside to get by! Don’t use this shop - I have another experience of the shop staff rudeness a couple of days later. It is the WORST supermarket in Mandelieu. I won’t EVER be going in there again unless it is an emergency.
Crap food. DO NOT SHOP HERE! They carried overdue food. Bought charcuterie and it had mold on it. A lot of the cheese they carry is processed. Fruits and vegetables are not "real." Asking for donation on the screen just like in the US when I go to check out. 1-2 cashiers max and automated machines so jobs are being lost due to a socialist society. If I wanted to eat merde food and be asked for money all the time, I would move back to the US. What a merge grocery store!
Temps d'attente aux caisses de plus en plus long. Inacceptable.
I've taken Iphone 11 from Monoprix palm tower, west bay, Doha, Qatar. the moment i've taken the phone in the next one hour I found out that my iphone 11 started giving me screen problem, I arrived to the Store again and they referred my case to head office, as i've demonstrated the same screen/display issue in front of store manager.
it's been 2 days since I am waiting for their reply like a fool. I paid full amount while taking Phone but now they are assuming that i've used this phone for few months and came with problem since it's the manufacturing defect. Instead of immediate replacement they are taking such a long time to investigate and still no reply.
Really I won't recommend anyone to purchase anything from Monoprix, specially big brand items and electronics, as they are unable to handle their customer properly.
I really want to give ZERO "0" rating bit it's not available.

My mother, a 76-year-old lady, was very badly treated by a
female staff who works at the Supermarket as a cashier box at Monoprix / Paris which is located at (215 Rue de Charenton). When my mother went to pay the groceries, the staff who works as a cashier, shouted at her many times with swear words. My mother felt very humiliated by the treatment and her blood pressure went up a lot and she had to see a doctor. Monoprix Supermarket chain should be training the staff better to treat customers. Therefore, my mother and I will never buy anything at "Monoprix" anymore. The staff is extremely rude to treat old people who are not able to defend themselves. If I were there, I would have called the police. Let's sue this Supermarket
Beware of their security officers in the entrance door. Totally disrespectful. I was there today (Feb 23) around 10am, when I was stopped by a security guy from entering the grocery.
In french, he told me to take off my hood (I was wearing hooded sweater). I was surprised because my hood wasn't blocking my face at all, assuming they are doing it for security purposes. During that time, I felt a bit cold that's why I wanna keep it on my head. I politely asked why I need to do that (in english). But instead of him answering my question in a considerate manner, he said that I am here in France and that I should speak their language. Explained to him in a calm manner I am here just for holidays, and can't speak french. He, instead, pushed me away, and didn't let me in. I asked if I can speak to his manager, but he refused. I ended up looking for another grocery.
Writing this review because I just find it so rude and very offensive. This person regards himself as more cultured and refined than others, just because he speaks "french".
I wonder how he would feel if he goes to my country, and someone would treat him the way he treated me.
Furthermore, it's totally understandable if they are implementing security measures. But management should also train their workforce how to do it in a decent way.
Expensive and only very average quality. Old-fashioned. Not really worth a visit in this day and age. Shopping there feels like a Blast from the Past....and not a good one.
