Wow simply awful

Wow simply awful

After being made redundant this year I resurrected my Monster account. What happened. Searching is utterly useless, you search simply on job title. I haven't had a single match to my skills. A very experience IT Server engineer I have had
Pharmaceutical Assessment manager
Some kind of manager at a supply depot
Insurance solutions architect

There seems to be no way to set keywords, industry area, geography.
My first set of results were from the US, despite being in the UK and using the UK site.

TL:DR Simply avoid wastes time you could actually be looking for a new job. To recruiters, drop support for this platform, users aren't finding you

Shambolic inability to delete a…

Shambolic inability to delete a "matching job" that's being emailed to you every day; the "matched job" is nothing like my CV, it's nothing like the search term I've used, but every day I have to delete the same pointless email that suggests I apply for a job that I don't want and couldn't do even if I did want it?!?!?!

Dark Patterns

Awful website, traps you in without an option to delete your profile/account unless you give them more data by uploading a CV. Their emails don't have options to unsubscribe either so because you can't delete your account there's no way to stop the spam coming. If you want to avoid scummy dark patterns then stay away from this lot

I have tried a few job sites

I have tried a few job sites, and monster seems to be fairly well used, but my one big issue is the 'free critique' that's offered, which isn't a critique, its simply giving your contact information to a third party to sell it to anyone they wish (GEN Blog has the inside info on this). I find that dishonest really and misleading, and it takes away any trust in the site, in my opinion.

STEER WELL CLEAR OF THIS LOT

My experience with Monster has been pretty much the same as most people writting reviews.
Promise everthing and deliver nothing.
I posted 2 vancancies requireing applicants from specific areas, Bournemouth & Southampton for a B2B Field Sales position.
Out of the very few applicants received they came from Lytham st Annes, Nigeria and everywhere but and further more, none where B2B Sales people.
Steer Clear,

NO JOB SECURITY

NO JOB SECURITY
(WITH COMPANY CALLED TARGET FUND MANAGERS LTD)

As a disgruntled former employee I highly recommend having absolutely nothing to do with a company called Target Fund Managers Ltd. It is not a suitable workplace to find meaningful employment.
This was due to the Support Services Director whose only talent was to blindside designated staff members while managing to hoodwink the boss(es). Galvanised by the mindset of the company bosses (who were adept at turning a blind eye) the SSD thought it her right and privilege to treat her subordinates in an appallingly shocking manner. This line manager made working in this company as unpleasant an experience for all employees as possible and in doing so, behaved inappropriately and unprofessionally. The company had (and still has) an abnormally high-level of staff turnover. Staff did not leave of their own accord, as is the norm, leaving their job to go to another. Rather, staff were unfairly dismissed with these arbitrary and unjustified firings gaily carried-out with regular frequency by the Support Services Director. This made it an extremely stressful work environment for the remaining staff who would often witness these wrongful dismissals and would be left wondering if they would be next.
Incredibly for all its self -proclaimed ‘Christian’ values, this company did not show any self-awareness or ability to grasp a company’s reputation is built around how it treats, or in this case, allows its staff to be treated. Every employee should be respected and treated equally with no one member of staff given preferential treatment.
In conclusion, if you value your sanity, do not apply to any of the job vacancies this company endlessly advertises. A job role that is frequently posted on a variety of jobsites is Support Services Assistant (sometimes under the guise of Trainee Administrator). Only apply to this vacancy if you are willing to endure a workplace bully as your line manager.
As a footnote, if anybody reading this has had similar experience of being bullied at work, listen to Radio 4's programme 'Dirty Work' which was very interesting. In fact I thought the programme makers had used TFM Ltd as the primary source for their research!

Not friendly, buggy

Just started a free trial a couple of hours ago. Wow! This website is a hell, logs me out all the time. It's advertised, that I have CV search access with my free trial (the same my account says), but no. The website just would log me out every time I try to do something. Not possible to search CVs

I contacted support there. They would not help at all, just asked me to call a random American number, which is not active as well

Did us a nice deal when we needed them!

As TotalJobs and CWJobs are ripping off all of their customers right now, Monster came to the rescue and did us a nice deal.

It's good to be back and fingers crossed that we can form a nice partnership again. Craig in the sales team was especially attentive.

ok monster is currently advertising for…

ok monster is currently advertising for vacancy's with a paper round, all you need is a vehicle and the wages are 1400 a month. dont get fooled by this, they are advertising all over the country for people on a s/e basis to deliver papers on a certain round depending on your postcode. they say the round will take 3 hours to complete, there are betting shops and home bargains in that round and the betting shops are spaced out in different villages which they want you to deliver 1st, so that means if you deliver to bookies 1st you will have to go back on your self and deliver to the villages which are miles apart and cant be achieved in 3 hours. its impossible to achieve, on the 3rd day of getting up at 3am and hitting the m4 to cardiff to meet the news van they hit me with the betting shops, i followed their map which i dowloaded off them and maesteg bookies was the last delivery at 10.30 am, so that was 7.30 hrs and just under 100 miles of travelling every where some idiot had the balls to ring me and say it should be done in 3 hours. impossible it cant be done, you can imagine what i told this guy where to shove his paperround using my fuel time and ware and tare on van, it cant be done in 3 hours so be warned, iv given you the heads up here, you also have to sighn a contract which says if you leave the company before 28 days you dont get payed, so i got nothing for the 3 days i did and i payed for fuel. theres a good bunch of boys in asda carpark coryton at 4am picking up their papers and they have got to be struggling big time. they will contact you via e-mail called recruitment so be warned. dont do it. monster are advertising for these nail heads which should be shut down. so youve been warned.

Thoroughly disappointed

Honestly, I can't believe how bad the service is considering how long they have been around and how much they charge.

A job ad we posted has been stuck on "pending" for over a week with no communication from the website.

I was using Monster for a long time..then the mask came off

I was using Monster for a long time, trying to move near my ageing parents in the UK. In fact, I relied on Monster to help get me the job I needed to relocate.

Then, one day, they disabled my account...no explanation, no warnings....nothing!

I contacted them to find an explanation...no reply, just as always seem to happen with big companies that consider one individual as irrelevant.
