I can't thank them enough for the support over the last 6 years..

I visited Moo haven just under 6 years ago to drop donations off, I had a fabulous guided tour and met my heart horse there and then. Within a few weeks we had a second viewing at the rescue was given all the information I needed... all I can say is I've never looked back. The team are very knowledgeable and ensure the welfare of their horses are provided forever and that's exactly what will happen he will be with me forever ...can't thank this rescue enough

Brilliant rescue charity

Brilliant rescue charity! Have got 2 ponies now in the last 7 years and best thing I did. People who run it are great and always there to help if you need it.
Highly recommended

I have 2 miniture horses on loan from moo haven, 1 I've had for 2yrs, the other 3 yrs, I find the charity very easy to deal with, and always at the end of the phone if I have any concerns or questions , always happy to give advice, or visit me if needed,I had another pony from them several years ago, unfortunately this pony didn't work out for my little boy, but not for trying, they were very understanding when I had to return the pony, as the ponies are all rescues there is little to no history on them , so no one can be sure how they will be, if I ever look for another horse in the future I will be going back to moo haven .

I have adopted a few ponies from Moo Haven over the last 10 years. I started when the charity was small and latterly fostered ponies that needed a little time out before going to their new homes. Ive always had a great experience with this charity, the ponies have always been as described and adopting them knowing I was helping sometimes them move to more appropriate homes was very rewarding. Ive always felt that at the heart of it, Moo Haven always puts the best interest of the animal first. Highly recommended charity to support and adopt from.

Absolutely lovely charity

Absolutely lovely charity. 100% committed to rehabilitating some horrendous cases that they take in. The horses and ponies take priority over everything and the staff are all amazing

Disgraceful excuse for a "charity"

Disgraceful excuse for a "charity". Ripping away a horse from a family that have loved and cared for him for over 5 years; paid for numerous vet, physio and specialist equine podiatry fees; ripped him away from a child who loves him who is battling cancer. Ripped him away from a family that he trusts and feels secure with; whom he loves and is loved by. Ripped him away despite year on year agreeing that he is loved and well cared for. Ripped him away just because his family needed to move home. Nowhere in their contract did it state that they were limited to a particular radius of the "rescue". The family even said that a separate charity would be happy to continue the home checks on their behalf. They had references from various different clinicians, including Vet and Physio.

Disgustingly, the "rescue" even had the cheek of sending a bill for £1000 for collecting the horse! Utterly disgusting. Run by vindictive, nasty pieces of work!

They clearly just want the horse back to get another adoption fee for him.

Do not adopt from these people; do not donate to these people.

I would never trust a charity that…

I would never trust a charity that removes a well cared for and loved horse from it’s family when it’s welfare is in no way comprised. To take a horse back into rescue just because the owners need to move away and where alternative on going home checks have been offered is irresponsible. There are horses in dire need of a place in rescue so why on earth would you choose to take in a well cared for healthy horse. I question this rescues intentions and do not feel they are being transparent about what their mission is. Additionally, at no point have they made any kind of statement to thousands of people who have asked them for an explanation. They have shown that they are not a respectable organisation.

Ignores Complaints from the public

I originally contacted Moo-Haven with concerns for a horse they were preventing from moving with his family of 5 years along with a petition about the situation on the 18th July 2022. The owner and trustees have completely ignored all correspondence from me despite thousands of signatures from the public pointing out how wrong this situation is and several emails/messages to them. It's unprofessional and rude. In this situation, I strongly believe they are not sticking to their charity objectives.

Terrible rescue

My Wife adopted a horse from this "rescue" and when we were forced to move for family, health and work reasons, rather than work with us to ensure the horse was able to remain with his family they took him back with no explanation as to why. We offered to help organise all the same checks they were getting a third party to do locally where we were moving but it fell on deaf ears. I would advise anyone thinking of using these people to completely avoid them at all costs.
