Returning customer: good service on monitor purchase
I bought a old model display screen from Morgan Computers. They answered my questions over the phone which helped me feel more confident about my choice, it was a good price and arrived at the beginning of the delivery window. It has worked well since then!

Don't believe the promises "Refurbished. Grade A1".
I received a laptop that I bought online from Morgan Computers and was forced to return it - Order No. 73836, Order Date: 31 January 2026, Received on 03.02.2026
Unfortunately, I saw that the laptop had some deformations on the aluminum keyboard casing, which in my opinion does not correspond to the Grade A1 advertised by the seller.
The laptop was obviously dropped or hit to cause these deformations. The packaging was in perfect condition when received, so I exclude the possibility that the damage occurred during shipping.
I have been their regular customer for many years (since they had a store on Tottenham Court Road - 2003) and have bought several computers and laptops from them, but this time the quality of the goods disappointed me.
Also, its display is very dark and its color turns yellow, despite my attempts to correct it with software - apparently due to a worn-out backlight or overheating, but for them this is normal quality and meets their criteria for "Refurbished, Grade A1.
I'm thinking of not buying from them in the future.
Contrary to the seller's claims, I was sent an email assuring me that THIS IS NORMAL FOR THIS DISPLAY and if I want to return the laptop I have to send it back to them at my own expense. I keep the emails from them, as well as the photos of the deformed case and the comparison of the display with that of another laptop.

After seeing the photos you sent to my support department regarding the cosmetic condition of the laptop you received I agree to disagree with your opinion. On our website the condition of each item is listed and an explanation of what to possibly expect is also shown. The laptop you specifically received fell within the cosmetic grading criteria of our Refurbished / Grade A items. We also gave you some help and advice regarding the screen. We asked you to try the solutions we provided and if they did not work to get back in touch with us and we would arrange a DPD Drop Off to get the laptop back to us at our cost. However you did not get back to us and sent the laptop back to us. Upon return the laptop was tested and passed all of our hardware and cosmetic grading criteria. We then processed a full refund for you. As we sell refurbished computers we are open and honest that they could have some cosmetic blemishes which is why we have a grading scale. We also have a 14 day cooling off period from delivery so if you change your mind about your order you can return it to us for a full refund. Really surprised when I opened the box

A Long Heritage
I've been shopping with Morgan (and its earlier incarnation Morgan Camera) for nearly 50 years. In all that time its provided quality products at exceptionally good prices. The HP monitor I've just bought is an example: it's "as new" except for a small chip on the base, but much lower-priced than competitors offer them. And I know Morgan's warranty will be honoured if anything should go wrong.
