Fragile Ego of Devs

Don't get me wrong, Delta is a pretty fun game but this recent update they released has really made everyone pissed and the problem we have is that we don't get notified when the game gets shut down, leading to EXP loss or LTAA. Multiple people (including me) have argued with the recent update saying they should really have "play tests with play testers". A dev stated that you guys HAVE actual play testers, but if that were the case then way less people or NOBODY at all would be complaining. Now I said that but I got timed out for 2 whole days for the reason? ; "ok". I am aware that MI (Mountain Interactive) doesn't have much staff. But at least start off by becoming loved by your community and understand rather than become self centered and have a fragile ego to the point where you abuse your power.

Also, someone asked if they were done with the shutdowns for the night, the dev that timed me out said yes, BUT that same dev went into that members PUBLIC server and shut it down for no reason? Get a hold of your moderators and dev team please.

Lack of listening to user feedback or transparency on new experience

After playing Mountain Interactive's newest game, Project Delta, and seeing the community's response in the dedicated chatroom for it, I'm disappointed. Development updates were quick and somewhat detailed last week; server restarts relatively rare- people complained, but they knew what they were getting.

Four, five 'updates' and even more server restarts later, the game hasn't had any new changelogs posted, with bugs seeming to pop up more often than before! Developers appear confused on what the problems could be despite being documented by players in the bug reports channel dedicated to the game.

Basic features critical to the genre manage to get broken with no explanation on how or why, with seemingly no fix in sight due to developers being silent on the matter of... well, development.

On the moderation side, the staff seem to be ignorant to the guidelines that were set for the game, if there are any in the game's servers at all- as well as taking no action despite some players posting themselves blatantly violating the guidelines in chat, not even a "don't do that!"

Mountain Interactive's player reports system seems to be half broken to boot- the reports-appeals link in their discord bot takes you to a 'Not found' page, and the Freshdesk link on the forums is dead, going to a 'couldn't find' page.

I believe Mountain Interactive should make a push to show us what's going on in the development process of their new game (which has urged dozens of people to purchase their newest subscription tier thanks to the benefits it gives) as well as use that influx of funds to improve their website and development resources.

Delta is turning into slop

Delta is kinda turning into slop; giving diamond players access to ALL ranks and ALL teams without having to grind is stupid. The whole point of the xp system was to make it fair and balanced, and make you work for your rank.. now for 120 dollars a month, you dont have to!

Hi,

We appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns about the recent changes to Delta. The decision to offer expanded access for Diamond members was not made lightly. It is part of an ongoing effort to explore different ways to support the game's development while still maintaining fair and engaging progression for all players.

We understand that the XP system is important to many in the community, and we will be closely monitoring how these changes affect balance and player experience. Feedback like yours plays a key role in that process, so we will be taking it into account as we evaluate whether adjustments are needed in the future.

Thank you again for your input and for being part of the Delta community.

project delta is not too horrible

i like how its more of a professional rp, but i dont like the xp system to be just on the police team.I know is not supposed to be a civ vs police game but just make it so its less than level 500 to be a cadet on the police team

Review

My name is Kai, i work for Mountain Interactive. My position is currently at developer position over the years i've been here at Mountain i know there are some things that can be changed and peoples opinions can be their opinions, a ton of things have been changed which are the whitelisted which not a ton of people were too happy about RPD, LAPD, LASD, CHP being gone which is really understandable. But David's trying his best for yall so sometimes you just got to appreciate what he does and so goes on for the developers. I feel like they're doing an awesome job 🙂

new delta game lowk heat

Yo, the new Delta game is actually amazing. You should seriously check it out. It runs way better than Perris or LA. It's way less laggy and just smoother all around. I was honestly surprised by how clean everything feels.

It still has that same vibe we liked from LA, but it's more optimized. No more choppy frames or delayed responses. Just solid gameplay. You can tell they really took the time to improve everything that used to hold the older games back.

RIP LA. It had its moment, but Delta is the new king now.

Amazing

The games it's pushing out, the way the commuinty is and the whole vibe. Gerald being corp may not be the best since he is known to act unprofessional at times and could ruin someones experience but I like that y'all gave him a chance.

Hi,

Gerald can indeed be a goofball, however, I have to disagree that Gerald could "ruin" an experience. He's an overall bundle of joy and has a very likable personality.

Hi there,

When we bought this project from Johnson Studios, I’ll admit I was a little nervous at first. But seeing reviews like yours makes me feel like I made the best decision in the world. We still have a lot of work to do and improvements to make, and I’m so glad you’re here with us for the journey.

Delta Review.

After playing Delta for almost 40 hours, and grinding FCPD, I would say Delta can benefit from the following:
- Allow moderators to do their jobs.
- Corruption RP needs to be limited at best. This means that Corrupt cops cannot falsely kill, arrest, and kill other cops. I think a good middle ground would be cops selling LE guns to civs, etc. This still gives SBI a purpose aswell as making it a fun experience.
- Limit gun store shootouts. This can be done by fixing the gun store team, aswell as putting a cooldown before obtaining a firearm again. Also allow cops to open the shutters and have access to all doors within strike point.

Hi there,

First off, thank you for spending nearly 40 hours in Delta and taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback. We truly appreciate players who invest both their time and effort into helping us improve the experience.

We hear you on the points you raised:

Moderator Authority: We agree that moderators need the proper tools and support to do their jobs effectively, and we’ll be reviewing our systems to ensure they can step in when needed.

Corruption RP Limits: Your suggested middle ground is helpful. We’ll look into refining corruption RP rules to prevent excessive false arrests or kills while still keeping room for creative, balanced roleplay scenarios like the one you mentioned with LE weapons.

Gun Store Shootouts: We’re aware of the frequency of these events and are considering changes such as cooldowns for firearm purchases, adjustments to the gun store team, and expanded access for law enforcement at strike points.

Your insights are exactly the kind of feedback that help us prioritize changes that make Delta better for everyone. Thanks again for being part of the community, we’re glad to have you along for the ride.
