I have had a subscription with Movavi for a couple of years and have never had an issue. I needed to change my subscription recently and in my opinion Movavi made an error in doing so. However, I wrote an email explaining my concern and to my surprise I received a very quick and very appropriate response that completely resolved my concern to my full satisfaction. Excellent customer service!

Once your used to it, it's a pretty simple program to use specially for a guy who used to be a beginner but now no problem in the editing department.

Paid 17 usd to export my file. Still got watermark on the final product because some of the effects were "premium".

I own five editors, I bought all thier pro versions. I bought movavi editor plus 21 during Covid, then bought the full 2023 and 24 subscriptions. I like the 21 version best, easier timeline and they work in there too. Each editor I use for specific reasons. But when I just want a simple editor to make a quick and easy no fuss to figure out video for any reason, and I don't need some hollywood production; Movavi is the easiest and fastest one to negotiate. I mean that too after getting a degree learning all the other big boy programs selling in the top five, I own them all.
If you buy the full subscription you can download all those packs from effects to make anything you wish, I learned how to make my own effects combinding them. I recomend if you have two computers like lap and desk, download on both. If you ever have to wipe one and reset, you still have all those upgrades for life even after the subscription ends. Once you reset the version can be reloaded but wont include those packs. Ask google how to transfer them back to your laptop.

Scam. I used Movavi many years ago and was happy with them. Purchased updated version this month and they snicked in "free 7 day Effects trial" and then charged my card for over £20 to subscribe me to this Effects thing after 7 days. Well, I even did not know I was subscribed. I only purchased their Video Editor. I did not want or need anything else. I haven't used that Effect thing because I did not know I had one because I did not purchased or knowingly concented to a sale of one. Now they refuse to refund but offering to "add an extra month to your subscription at no additional cost." as a good will gesture. Are you insane?! To offer me extra month of subscription for a product I did not ask for or wanted and was charged for without giving my informed concent? Taking them to Trading Standards for misleading sale process (adding things in the customer did not ask for). Avoid. Sale should be straight forward without panicking you will be charged for some "free stuff" you did not ask for.

I acknowledge receipt of your response and reject your assertions in their entirety.

Your position rests on the claim that the Movavi Effects subscription was not added by default and that checking the box constitutes full and informed consent. This position is legally unsustainable.

The issue is not whether the checkbox was technically pre selected. The issue is whether the presentation, placement, and framing of the Movavi Effects subscription met the legal standard of clear, prominent, and unambiguous disclosure of a separate auto renewing paid contract, and whether valid informed consent was obtained. It did not.

The Movavi Effects option was displayed beneath the main price of an entirely different product, visually subordinate, framed as a free trial, and presented in a manner that strongly implied it was an optional feature within the Video Editor rather than a separate subscription carrying an independent payment obligation. The automatic renewal and subsequent charge were not made unavoidable or unmistakably clear to an average consumer at the point of purchase.

UK consumer law does not accept reliance on design nudges, fine print, or assumptions of consumer understanding. Consent must be informed, explicit, and unambiguous. A single checkbox placed within the purchase flow of another product, without a separate confirmation step for auto renewal, does not meet this threshold. The average consumer test applies, not your internal interpretation of intent.

Furthermore, no reminder or notification was issued prior to charging my account at the end of the trial period. Given the nature of this add on subscription, the lack of a pre charge reminder materially contributes to the unfairness of the practice and further undermines any claim of valid consent.

You state that by checking the box the customer fully understands they agree to automatic renewal. This is a legal conclusion you are not entitled to make. Whether consent was valid is a matter for regulators and the courts, not for unilateral assertion by the trader. Independent research confirms that multiple customers report being charged for Movavi Effects without knowingly consenting, indicating a pattern of consumer detriment rather than an isolated misunderstanding.

Your offer of an additional month of subscription is inappropriate and rejected. I did not request further services. I am demanding restitution for monies taken without lawful consent.

Accordingly, my position remains unchanged. You are required to issue a full refund for the Movavi Effects subscription charged to my account. Failing this, I will proceed without further notice to submit a formal complaint to Trading Standards and to initiate proceedings via the Small Claims Court, supported by documentary evidence including screenshots and reports from other affected consumers.

This is not a negotiation. You have seven days from the date of this message to resolve this matter by issuing the refund. I expect written confirmation of corrective action within twenty four hours. If no satisfactory response is received, I will proceed on the basis that you have elected to defend this matter before the relevant authorities and the court.

UPD: Thank you for the refund. It is disappointing that the issue required escalation before being resolved. As a previously satisfied customer since 2020, I regret that this experience has undermined my confidence in Movavi, and I will not be recommending it going forward.

very nice app

I would say I am just a beginner, my son found this Movavi app and showed me on how to use it. I learned quickly. I love to travel and each trip, I always make a slide show to share it with my group in every trip we visited and they are so happy. Easy to use and affordable.

Good programs and customer service is great and fast.

Hi i been using movavi video suites from 2010 there software always works fast and without problems there customer support is top notch i be buying 2026 video suite when it comes out

This PC recording application is very good and easy to use. It allows you to record videos with high quality and without errors. The interface is simple, so even beginners can use it without any problems.

The app runs smoothly and does not crash during recording. The audio and video stay synchronized, which makes the final result much better. It is great for recording gameplay, tutorials, or videos for the internet.

When I upgraded to 2026 version I was expecting AI integration that appears to be lacking.

First of all, I would like to say that we partially accept responsibility on our side as well. However, Movavi has its website set up in a way that is very effective at making people lose their money.

Around October 2025, my wife signed up for a 14-day trial of the Movavi Editor program. In small print, it is stated that by purchasing the Editor, you also receive the Effects program for trial. However, what is not clearly stated is that you will not only be charged CZK 439 per month for the Editor, but also CZK 949 per month for the Effects, which Movavi presents merely as a “trial” product.

Another thing I find extremely disappointing is the subscription cancellation process. If you want to cancel a subscription, you must complete the cancellation twice, which is very confusing. A user cancels the subscription, reasonably assumes everything is finished, but after refreshing the page, the subscription is still active and must be canceled again. This feels intentionally misleading.

I requested a refund for the program that was supposed to be provided only for trial purposes — a product that nobody wanted or used. We are now waiting to see how this situation will be resolved.

In the meantime, I strongly recommend being very cautious with this company and carefully reviewing everything they offer alongside the product you actually intend to purchase.

It was very easy working with Movavi with my issue. Their customer service is top-notch!!

Simple, easy to use colorization software, much easier than others I experimented with and less expensive! Saving as a different file is a little trucky but I figured it out. After a few hours it seems like a very good value.

Really well made app and lots of effects to choose from!
