All was well with this compnay before my move & very friendly. However a few days before the move they wanted me to change my moving day as they being a professional firm had booked in three moves even though mine was long distance & it was bank holiday weekend. I'd booked the date weeks in advance & had already paid for the move. I compromised and said we could pack the van the day before and I could stay in a hotel the night before meaning they could pack the van and be ready to go the next day. They agreed to cover the cost of me staying away which they did after I booked and paid for and sent the reciept.
So all was ok until the day of packing the van. Their big lorries had got stuck somewhere else so they turned up in 2 smallish vans which meant my items were wedged tight as they then had to take my items to a lock up for the night. This took atound 3 trips i believe? So then my poor items where then after being in the lock up put on two other vans ready for the next day. I recieved a call saying we couldn't fit all your items on so we will bring the rest up next week!
Moving day then resulted in alot of my items being damaged and broken. Two tvs the feet were snapped off, a computer desk was completely broken and now unusable, my bookcase was chipped in places, my dining room table scratched, my hoover charger was leaking blue liquid to name a few things.
The manager Tim Penrose saw some of these broken items & pictures of items after he left I sent to his secretary.
The next week the rest of my items were dropped off to me what kind of removal firm does this after they have seen how much you have after the quote. I also had decluttered and there were a lotless items by the actual move day too.
Since my move I have tried to get in touch about the ruined items to have had no response from anybody yet. The secretary did send a message a few weeks afterwards to saying she was going on leave and to contact Tim about these items but no response as yet.
I feel totally let down by a removal firm I thought I could trust and in all my years of moving have never had an experience like this before.

Move Me Removals Okehampton , we had two site meetings and numerous conversations about access both from the house we were leaving and the house we moved to and they still turned up on move day two hours late with a huge truck which blocked the road. They had to leave and I went in to inspect the house we were leaving and had paid to be cleaned. On the stairs there was some of their equipment and rubbish from the carpet protectors. three windows had been left open. We had a broken antique mirror and table which is still missing its legs.! All the plants etc were left at the old house on the driveway. They did pay for us to have a meal at the local pub, but we were treated with distain when we asked about the broken mirror and the table legs to this day are still missing. Never will we use them again.

Do not trust this company. You may have a good experience if you're lucky, some have, but they are not registered with an appropriate trade organisation so if you are treated as shamefully as we have been, there is no recourse to any kind of action. They know this so they can promise the earth and don't care if anything goes wrong. Our moving day turned into an absolute nightmare, with a third of our goods being left on the drive of our old home, exposed to the elements - even our piano & our TV! The company have tried to say that there was more than they expected to move but they had both video & their own personal inspection to go by, they were supposed to be the experts, yet they have totally let us down. They don't even acknowledge arriving late in the day. I would never recommend using them.
