Scammers
I preordered the Inart The Batman 1/6 figure with Mozfigure in September 2023. This is my first inart order anywhere so I figured it would take a while to fulfill, considering my experience with 1/6 Hot Toys figures.
One year passes and I get suspicious honestly and I reach out asking to cancel, since I haven't appreciated the total radio silence. They message me back saying they can't due to the deposit they put down, but they'll offer me a discount on shipping. Well, at least that must mean it's still going to be shipped out to me soon so I wait. This was in November 2024.
It is now the end of 2025 and I see that people online have started receiving their figures. I assume that mine must be coming soon but I haven't heard anything from Mozfigure.
Jump again to April 2026, still nothing. Not a single update. So I reach out and ask if there is any update at all on my order. I get an email, "we will contact the studio to confirm the shipping status."
9 days pass and again silence. I reach out again, "is there an update?" Only after I bother them again do they finally tell me, "To date we have not received any response or notification from the studio. We can only assist you with exchanging for other items."
WHAT?! So I ask, "is my preorder cancelled?" I get the runaround, "The studio has not provided any shipping information yet, so we can only assist you in exchanging for other items." So I ask yet again, and clarify so they can't worm their way out of it, "I understand they have not provided shipping information yet. What I am asking is if the preorder for my order is still expected to be shipped eventually or if my item is no longer going to be available to be delivered at all. Are you still expected to receive the product?"
Mozfigure's official response: "We recommend that you exchange it for another item, as the studio has stopped responding and has not refunded the deposit."
At this point, I'm livid. What do you mean that for the past two years, I've been waiting on a preorder that these morons have failed to follow up on, with not a single update or check-in on the status, lost their deposit on, and are unable to keep in contact with their suppliers? AND they have the gall to tell me to take the fall for it and cover their asses on the deposit for an order they messed up?
And of course, as soon as I brought all this up to them (in a more polite manner, no cursing lol) and told them I want a REFUND... silence. As of now, they have ceased all messaging with me, despite my multiple emails.
Their store clearly has a policy that states, "If the order is cancelled by our store, a full amount of payment will be refund." Well, I guess we all know now that just means they'll never actually cancel, even if they by all consumer rights ought to, and will just string you on until it's too late to get your money back.
