My review is purely based on association, today.
The fact that MrD is associated with Takealot, is enough for me to put this review down.

I shouldn't be waiting for my refund, when Takealot is at fault for not delivering on their commitment. Funds should reflect immediately into my account, so that I can make purchases somewhere else. This is unacceptable, I'll be sure to to let Mr D also know why I'm canceling them as well, because I can't be associated with anyone that does business with unethical Takealot, that can't even honor their commitment, instead penalize their clients for their inability to not deliver! Ontop of it, you join their loyal program, so that you pay less, not being aware that the agony, suffering and frustration of not receiving your delivery on time, will cost you your sanity, time and eventually more money, especially knowing that they can decide at any moment to extend your delivery time to 3 weeks to a month, that's what they did to me and unlike Amazon that compensate you, when it's their mistake, these unscrupulous, crooked company just cancels your order and tells you to wait 3-5 business days for your refund to reflect, forgetting the inconvenience they've caused you, in my case, I had to buy alternatives to feed my dogs and alternative creams for my kids, extra money's that I don't have.....

Unacceptable!

If a lot of us stand-up against companies like this, we can force them to treat consumers right or lose the very greed that they glutton after, money!

Absolutely pathetic service.

I ordered from Nandos, and my food never arrived. The Mr D customer service agent promised to check and call back to confirm the status of delivery and never did. On my second call (and after in inordinate time spent on hold) I was informed that the order was cancelled as they could not locate the driver! And it was too late in the evening to order elsewhere. You shouldn't be in the service industry Mr D. Perhaps a name change to Mr. Non Delivery is appropriate!

Chris the Driver

Our Driver tonight his name is Chris . He was really sweet . I got my address wrong on the app and he had no problem fixing it as it was just around the corner. He was so nice about it no issues at all. Would not mind getting him as my driver again.

I had to phone to find out what took so long after phoning then my order was processed
And then getting my food it was ice cold

Yesterday around 19:15 I ordered kfc from Mr D right, at first there was a problem from there side but eventually I payed and the fund was deducted from my account but I never received an email or anything about my order even on the app it doesn't show I have been trying to contact then since yesterday mind you I ordered dinner but never received anything

I am very disappointed with a service I got from mr D driver by the name disbuseng from mr D phuthaditjaba (qwaqwa) the guy was so rude and showing me the way he don't care about him delivering my order very late, and all my burgers was messed up, its was upside down. I won't use mr D anymore.

What a terrible service I got.

I ordered 7 items from Mr d, pick and pay products, and their sense of urgency is non existent. While get involved in this type of service when you are incompetent?! I waited for my order for more than an hour and when I contact them via WhatsApp, I got excuses. Not acceptable! Im removing your app from.my cellphone

Mr D drivers are rude and inpatient when they feel like it. I had to go out in the rain while the driver stood on his bike with my order, shouting come fetch your order.

They are rude and seem like they don’t want to deliver as if they are forced.

Worst company to exist…

I placed a order which I had to 3md up canceling because it took an hour and 30 minutes and I had to go to work. That food was for my kids and myself. I don't want a credit I want an immediate refund so I can food somewhere else. I can't wait for that 5 working days time frame as I have no other means of food for today. Dfd301000955. They did not care and when I asked what the issue was they blamed it on the restaurant when I literally could see the driver was in one place for 30 minutes and 2 minutes away from me and gave me a 50r.voucher as if that's what I wanted. When I called out the lying no one got back to me. Then on WhatsApp they said they are escalating it to the restaurant and driver management department but never did they closed the chat after I waited over 30 minutes for someone to take it simply because I was busy and could not respond within 4 minutes

I placed a order with Mr D for uncle Craig kitchen on Tuesday 10 February 2026 and I ordered a 1/3 mutton bunny and when I was eating it the bread was moldy and smelling. I contacted the restaurant they said I put a review on Mr D and they will refund me.

I am not happy with the drivers ,already Mr D charges more money for delivery and drivers when you tip them what you have they complain saying the tip it’s little.Now we end up spending more money on delivery instead of spending it on what you have purchased👎
