Beware Do not use this company

Beware Do not use this company! Horrified and saddened at the way my mother was treated by this company.

My mother used this company after the death of my grandmother to take some of her furniture to auction. They quoted her (on email) $200 after receiving a specific list of the items and their sizes. On the day, after loading the items in the van, they then informed my mother that the quote had changed and she would now have to pay an extra $160 taking the quote from $200 to a whopping $360 with no prior warning.

My mother is very vulnerable and already overwhelmed after the death of her mother, she had already arranged the auction and was terrified at being left with the furniture on the driveway which she would not be able carry. I dont know if they sensed she would be a walk-over but she felt like she had no options and they used this to squeeze so much more money out of her. She was put on the phone to the boss who kept yelling the price at her and terrified she finally agreed to pay as she felt she had no other option.

I am so heartbroken at the way my mother was treated by this company at a difficult time in her life. This is intimidation and bullying and I hate to think of this happening to more vulnerable customers.

They told her the increased cost was because they needed an extra man but they turned up with the said extra man having never informed her previously of this or of any potential increase in price.

Please please do not use this company or be prepared to be extorted on the day.

Attached is a screen shot of the quote with no mention that the cost could be subject to change.
