Mountaingate Country Club – Poor Management, Financial Misconduct & Insensitive Behavior
I was a paying member at Mountaingate Country Club since 2017 ($7,000+ annually) and expected a high-end experience. Unfortunately, the club fails to deliver value, professionalism, or basic integrity.
🔹 Insensitive Billing Practices
During a mandatory wildfire evacuation, I received a billing notice instead of concern for member safety. The club itself was evacuated, yet they prioritized demanding payments over checking on members.
🔹 Zero Accountability from Management
I directly emailed Vice President Michael DeJordy about this issue, and he never responded. A luxury club should have higher standards for customer service.
🔹 Shady Business Practices
The Director of Tennis billed members for lessons that never occurred. While he was ultimately fired, this kind of misconduct should never have happened in the first place.
🔹 Insensitive Remarks Toward a Woman’s Special Needs Child
Staff made inappropriate comments about a member’s child with special needs, showing a complete lack of compassion and professionalism.
🔹 Low-Quality Dining & Service
The food was disappointing, and overall service was not up to par with other private clubs at this price point.
⚠️ Final Verdict:
Despite being a member since 2017, I saw a decline in service, accountability, and overall experience. Management ignores serious member concerns, lacks professionalism, and allows unprofessional behavior. Would not recommend.
