Unbelievably poor insurer
Unfortunately I'm unable to not give a star when in fact it should probably be minus 20 stars.
I've been working in insurance for more than 30 yeas and have never come across a worse insurer than this one. A Mulsanne insurance customer pulled out of a side road into the path of my clients vehicle on 20/1/23 and a year later we're still trying to recover both my clients outlay and their uninsured losses. They don't answer the phone, don't reply to emails (apart from auto replies).
My client has lost thousands of pounds of income due to their total lack of service. I don't really understand how they are allowed to continue in business.

Resolution in 2 weeks promised on 06/12/2023. Nothing.
Despite lodging complaints with both Mulsanne and Key Claims, there has been no response. The incident occurred on 22/06/2023 [case 2022141559], and I disagreed with KCA's determination of fault. I sought a resolution of either third-party responsibility or a shared fault (50:50). Throughout our email exchanges, communication was effective until I posed a straightforward question: "Can I appeal your decision? Yes/No? If yes, where, to whom, how?" Unfortunately, this repeated query was intentionally ignored, leading to a cessation of communication. They disregarded my right to appeal and took unilateral action.
Additionally, I repeatedly inquired about the TP's insurance company, but KCA purposefully neglected to address this question.
The TP's violation was extensively documented through photos, videos, and one witness statement, including the use of a measuring tape. The TP had left their vehicle parked more than 103cm from the kerb overnight at a turning point on a mild slope in a narrow street with cars parked on both sides. Regulations such as Regulation 101 of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986, pertaining to "Parking in Darkness," and others like Legislation 103, Road Traffic Act 1988, Section 22; The Highway Code Rule 242, and Transport (Scotland) Act 2019, 54(1), explicitly highlight motorists' responsibility to avoid hazardous positions or unnecessary obstructions on the road, particularly during nighttime hours when visibility is diminished.
11/01/2024 Update: Yes, on the 6th of December, the letter from KCA: "We aim to carry out the investigation within two weeks of receiving your complaint. If, at four weeks, we are not able to respond to your complaint, we will write to you again explaining what your rights are." Did you write again? No. Even now, Key Claims keeps not answering 2 questions: 1) Could I appeal against their decision in August 2023 when I asked about it? They could have said "No, you cannot" or "Yes, you can" but KC resorted to ignoring and cutting off all communication and it keeps avoiding to answer that question even now. ANSWER THE QUESTION. Because I will ask the Financial Ombudsman whether or not I had a right to appeal at that stage. That was the question. 2) What is the TP's insurance company? Aviva, Direct Line, Admiral? ANSWER THE QUESTION or explain why you cannot.

Absolute disgrace of a company
Absolute disgrace of a company! Worst car insurance I've ever had! Complete con artists! Put a non-fault claim in on the 20th December. Asked for a courtesy car as I was entitled to one. Was promised the following Thursday or Friday there would be a car available for me. Friday came and went. I phoned on 2nd January when reopened to be told my car was declared a complete loss on the 28th Dec and that someone from abaqui would phone me by the end of the week. I waited until Friday and heard nothing so I phoned them back. I was told this time that my they had just received the paperwork that day for my car and it would take 5 days. When challenged that I had already spoken to someone earlier that week and they had confirmed that they had received the total loss information on 28th Dec. Want to charge me £1500 for excess even though it wasn't my fault, and pay the rest of my term on insurance policy, and the rest on my finance which didnt even cover what was left, so I would be left with nothing and still alive £2500 left on my finance to pay. Was told I hadn't paid the extra for courtesy car or hire vehicle although after checking my insurance policy I was entitled. So they lied again. Never ever go with this company again!

If I could give no stars I would! Wow stay clear of this company. Reported an accident on Monday rang for updates I was passed to 13 different people as no one knew what they were doing! 3 hours on the phone and asking to speak to a manger which apparently they don’t have 🙄 I was told my account had just been set up 10 minutes ago and a woman called Yasmin will be in touch the same day to discuss my claim. And guess what? Surprise surprise I’ve heard nothing from anyone. Will not use this company again it’s a joke

If I could give zero stars I would
If I could give zero stars I would. I had an accident over 2 years ago, that I reported straight away to Mulsanne. I should have been alarmed when this wasnt a simple procedure. What followed has been nothing short of a nightmare. After hours & hours of being on hold, sending email after email I thought I was making progress. I got a delayed and feeble payout for my car, was offered a hire car that I triple checked over a recorded line that would be covered by Mulsanne and they confirmed it would be as I had fully comprehension insurance. Due to this I took out the hire car and have subsequently been threatened by Progress Vehicle Management to pay a bill of £12,000.00 for the hire car. This is after I clarified over what I told is a recorded line that the hire car is covered. Still to this day I can not get hold of Mulsanne Insurance and PVM simply disregard me and tell me to speak to Mulsanne. I then asked to terminate my insurance as my car was a right off and then said I'd have to pay out the following years term?! Complete con artists - STAY AWAY FROM THEM. I will be seeking legal action against them

Frustrating Experience
I recently experienced an unfortunate accident (my reg number YB64USZ) that wasn't my fault, and my encounter with them has been nothing short of a nightmare. Despite providing all the necessary information nearly a month ago, the process has been excruciatingly slow and unprofessional.
The most alarming aspect is their inability to determine who collected my car from the police car recovery pound. It's baffling that a basic task like this is causing such confusion for an insurance company. The lack of efficiency and clarity is incredibly frustrating.
I've been diligently following up with them every four days, only to receive empty promises of a callback within a day or two. Unfortunately, this has become the worst experience I've ever had with an insurance company. Their level of professionalism is simply not acceptable.
I strongly advise potential customers to steer clear of Mulsanee (they have passed my claim to Key Claims). The incompetence and lack of timely assistance make them an unreliable choice. Consider this a cautionary tale and explore more reputable options for your insurance needs.

Would give 0 or less if possible but I…
Would give 0 or less if possible but I have to resort to a 1 star.
I will keep it as brief as possible.
Did a test drive insurance with Rooster app, was offered reasonable premium and accepted this, which Mulsanne is the underwriter for. Had policy from 2021 - 2023.
May 2023 now I was planning to borrow a family members car and before anything made sure with rooster on the app chat that I am covered to drive other cars and they confirmed this so I went along with my mission. Couple of hours later only to be stopped at roadside by Waste Midlands Police. First they tell me car matches a stolen vehicle which is stupid as the borrowed car was taken from Essex and we are now in Birmingham. Once this was clarified insurance checks came back that I do no retain any car driver on my policy, so I showed my app chat this was ignored and was threatened to be arrested if I did not forfeit the car. I even found my policy document which did state on it that a any car driver is permitted but still as it did not match apparently I still have to give up and make way home. So now my borrowed car is in impound my plans to use the car for an event did not happen, I am confused as to what is happening.
Next morning I called insurance to ask them what is happening and after a lengthy call it was silently apparent that Mulsanne had updated my policy document and removed the part that said I am covered as any car driver by error as they stated, did not tell me about it either or sent me a new policy document update so now i really do look like a muppet.
Meanwhile I am now also facing potential 6 points for driving without insurance and a fine of up to £1000 or more. DUE TO MULSANNES ADMIN ERROR I will remind.
I had to then go and get the car owner with me from Essex to West Bromwich Midlands Police station with ownership documentation and get the car from impound which cost a hefty amount.
Any direct contact to Mulsanne from me was ignore by the way, none of my messages were ever replied to. I had to keep contact via Roosters head of complaints.
6 months later into November 2023 did Mulsanne finally accept liability that they made a mistake and repaid my impound cost. Upon this I requested compensation damages because of the fact that I missed out on a planned event and was left chasing ways to prove my innocence and also sort a car from being crushed as well as fork out of pocket the whole time ALL BECAUSE MULSANNE FORGOT TO ADD ON MY POLICY THE ORIGINAL INFORMATION IT ALWAYS SHOULD HAVE HAD.
Now they think by covering my impound cost answers this and closes the case I assure you it does not. I will not stop chasing this or pushing it, I am seeking Ombudsman support. I missed out personal plans and was out of pocket for 6 months so compensatory damage is to be the least of compassion you can feel towards my ordeal.

Don’t let them fool you it’s a SCAM!
It’s been a year since my car been damaged by uninsured driver when I wasn’t even in the car ( car parked at street )
Police stopped the driver later that day and the driver admitted to everything.
Despite the fact that this is a straightforward case and Mulsanne had all the evidence needed from the very beginning they couldn’t and they still can’t deliver what I’ve paid for ( uninsured driver promise )
Ombudsman now dealing with this and despite the fact that Muslanne accepted the Ombudsman’s outcome ( obviously they had to as they are clearly at fault and with all evidence they just couldn’t avoid responsibility and lie anymore ) they just keep ignoring Ombudsman now and don’t reply to Ombudsman’s emails.
Just to highlight here a very simple thing!
It’s just a common example of a Scam!
If you take money from someone , promise to do something and you actually don’t its a Scam and this is how the Scam works.
There is no doubt about the fact that Mulsanne is a one big Scam network.
The problem is that as long they have new customers paying money in ,they will be able to run their scam because their scam is nothing else than a Ponzi scheme!
One day we’ll hear in news about collapse of an Insurance company called Mulsanne and that’s how it will end, but at this moment of time there is a simple solution and we can stop this simply by not buying anything from them even if they offering us the best price in the market ( typical scammers tactic ) Without any incoming money they will simply collapse like every other Ponzi scheme.
Please share this everywhere you can.
There are many victims out there and we can stop this only if we’ll be united.
Share and one more time share let everyone know that Mulsanne is a SCAM! Don’t let them grab your hard earned money!
Regards
Lukas
Edit to response from Aimee
Please see below and stop scamming! Mulsanne responded to Ombudsman’s investigator and accepted the outcome.
My policy with one of your brokers was underwritten by Mulsanne. This is your scam network and that’s how it works you have so many brokers and false informations. Ombudsman investigated and established that my policy was underwritten by Mulsanne ! I’ve got a proof it’s been underwritten by Muslanne all the evidence will be used in court soon.
Also please see below and stop these lies how can you do that and sleep at night !
“ Dear Mr Matwiejuk

I’m writing to let you know Mulsanne have now responded and have accepted my outcome.

Another edit:
What you’ll say about this ?
“ Pukka Services are the administrators of the policy, for and on behalf of Mulsanne Insurance Company Limited. “
This is part of the article from internet where you can clearly see that Pukka is a member of your scam network and has same reviews as you have! coincidence ?
I’m taking you to court not only to get back what I’ve paid for ,but to make sure you’re all convicted for what you’ve been doing for years to the innocent people !
Oh yes and you’re right Mulsanne is genuine and Financial Conduct Authority in GIBRALTAR!!! can of course confirm this.

They deduced to make a deductions for themselves over £2000… couldn’t even explain. So I may sick a legal advise now .

Incompetence and Negligence at Its…
Incompetence and Negligence at Its Finest
I feel compelled to share my harrowing experience with Key Claims, as it has been nothing short of a nightmare. The key claims made by this company have proven to be misleading and utterly disappointing. Allow me to shed light on the various incidents that have left me utterly dissatisfied.
First and foremost, I was advised to claim off my own insurance for a non-fault claim. This is a clear contradiction of the fundamental purpose of an insurance claims company. Why should I be penalized for someone else's mistake? It is astounding that Key Claims would suggest such a course of action, displaying a complete lack of regard for their customers' rights and well-being.
Furthermore, I was specifically informed that 20% of a car's value is in its road tax. This claim is not only patently false but also demonstrates the sheer ignorance and incompetence of the company's representatives. Such misinformation only serves to confuse and mislead policyholders, eroding any trust that may have remained.
To add insult to injury, after enduring months of waiting, I was finally granted a measly reimbursement, only to be forced to pay a £400 excess fee. This exorbitant charge is not only unjust but also a prime example of Key Claims' blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. The delay in processing my claim coupled with the excessive excess fee demonstrates the company's lack of efficiency and empathy towards its clients.
Perhaps the most infuriating aspect of my experience with Key Claims has been the laziness and indifference displayed by its employees. When I raised my concerns and submitted a complaint, I received a dismissive response stating that my files were due for review next month. This excuse is a clear indication of their incompetence and a complete disservice to their customers. Key Claims' employees are failing to take responsibility for their actions and provide the necessary support and assistance.
To make matters worse, after submitting my complaint, I have received zero contact from Key Claims for over two weeks. It is utterly unacceptable that I, as the affected party, am left to chase them up and demand results. This lack of communication and accountability further highlights the company's disregard for its customers' well-being and reinforces the notion that they are failing to fulfill their obligations.
The stress and frustration caused by Key Claims' actions are beyond comprehension. It is clear that my experience is not an isolated incident, as there are likely numerous others who have fallen victim to the same level of incompetence and negligence. As a result, I have been left with no choice but to pursue legal action against Key Claims to seek justice for the injustices they have inflicted upon me and potentially many others.
In conclusion, my encounter with Key Claims has been an absolute nightmare. Their customer service is abysmal, and their overall incompetence is astounding. This company's actions are nothing short of negligence, as they fail to provide the necessary support and assistance to their clients. Save yourself the stress and frustration by avoiding Key Claims at all costs.

This is the worst insurance company or…
This is the worst insurance company or even company I have ever come across in my life. My partner had his car written off last year October which was already a distressing experience in itself, this company has made things significantly worse by refusing to pay out his claim which would be a large sum of money. This has caused extreme stress for my partner causing him to take time off work as he was without a car, after having to dip in to emergency funds to get a new car hoping to have the money recovered through the claim he is now in debt. This has been the most stressful 10 months and has been down to this shambles company. They should not even be allowed to operate and should be investigated, trying to get in contact with them is another story. We would just like this horror to be over and it’s so we can get in with our lives.

How can these people sleep at night
I lodged a claim with Muslanne for damage to my vehicle caused by another driver at no fault of my own. They took 5 weeks to respond despite their own company policy of 5 business days. I had to call everyday, sometimes twice to ensure they were dealing with my claim. Every agent I spoke with gave me contradictory information to the last! After 8 weeks of back n fourth I was advised I needed to lodge a 2nd claim to cover the damage. Awful company, I don’t know how these people can sleep at night. My claim is still open and I’ve felt physically ill dealing with this company.
