Good price, but customer support needs improvement
I bought a Laney LFR-212 guitar cabinet from Musique Shop due to their excellent pricing. The cabinet was 5% cheaper than other large online music stores and no shipping costs. I received the product 9 days after purchasing it in a good state. However, I did not receive shipping updates via the Shop app and it was difficult to reach them via phone or e-mail. Although they did respond via Paypal, their communication was quite blunt.
Avoid! It’s a complete SCAM
I made the biggest mistake by ordering a guitar worth €1,248.30 on June 4th 2025. After confirming they had received my bank transfer, the company completely disappeared. They stopped responding to emails and never answered phone calls again. Today, 13th September, I still don’t have any news from them. This behavior is completely unacceptable.
I have now opened a legal case against them and reported the situation to the European Consumer Centre (ECC).
Please be very careful with this shop.
Based on my experience, I strongly advise others to avoid them.

Awful, scammers and thieves. It is painfully obvious if you made the mistake to order though these degenerates that the only way to get what you want is through an EU small claims procedure (if you ordered through another EU country), and sacrifice a whole lot of your personal time. An absolutely draining experience.

I am a French customer, and following my unfortunate experience on the French version of the Musique Shop website, I feel it’s important to share my case with you now that the company is expanding into the Dutch market.
Order #000026679 – November 8, 2024 – €336
Item never delivered.
A fake refund (ref. #000000969) was listed on my customer account but was never credited to my bank account.
The refund was ultimately issued by my bank, at its own expense, after I submitted a formal complaint and provided supporting documents.
Musique Shop took no responsibility. Not even an explanation.
A well-oiled method?
• A “special order” with a ghost delivery delay of 24 months, only disclosed via a discreet pop-up — just long enough to let the legal chargeback period expire.
• Terms & Conditions promise a response within 7 days: I received nothing after more than 120 days.
• Mediation attempt via CM2C: refused.
• Complaint to French consumer authorities (DGCCRF): ignored.
• Registered letter demanding action: no response.
• Support ticket opened on 11/30/2024: no follow-up.
• Registered letter requesting refund details: ignored.
All that… for a set of pickups. Not a car. Not a house. A set of pickups.
Administrative oddities:
• Three different SIRET numbers across their site and official filings.
• A parent company registered under a “holding” structure with no public financial records.
• A shiny website redesign… but still no refund.
Everything is vague. Everything is doubled. Everything is locked tight.
Reputation? Deserved:
• The company was flagged twice in the French consumer TV show “Ça peut vous arriver” (April 2024), where individuals now suddenly worried about their privacy were named publicly.
• Numerous similar reviews across platforms: undelivered orders, ghost refunds, total silence.
• Last-minute phone calls with no proof, using vague terms like “accounting department got back to us,” curiously timed right after I posted my public review.
Conclusion:
At Musique Shop, delivered customers are miracles. Refunded ones are legends.
And negative reviews? It’s easier to try having them deleted than to answer them honestly.
I defame no one.
I simply report what happened to me — and I have the documents to prove it.
My bank didn’t reimburse me out of kindness.
It did so because Musique Shop tried to make me believe I had already been reimbursed.
Musique Shop even responded to my French Trustpilot review (April 2, 2025), claiming I had used an “expired card” for the refund — which is factually false. The order was placed and debited in early November 2024, and the card was perfectly valid at that time.
No failed refund notification was ever sent to me by email, phone, or via my customer account.
I even sent a registered letter requesting transaction details — it was ignored.
They claim they tried to contact me several times: yet I received no call, no voicemail until April 1, 2025, at 6:59 PM — nearly five months after the order.
The message asked me to write to “luc@…” — which I did, on April 2 at 7:35 AM.
Still no reply.
I’ve received more signs of life from Musique Shop in two days than in the five months prior.
This sudden burst of communication shows that their silence wasn’t random — it was deliberate and strategic: a way to dodge responsibility, sidestep legal obligations, and respond only when exposed publicly — even turning things around to blame the customer, as they attempted in their french public reply.
The fact remains:
These shadowy merchants are still holding €336 of my money and refuse to return it.
They can reject all insinuations they like — but honesty is not the first word that comes to mind.
I thank them for having, themselves, put words to their own actions.
Avoid at all costs. Unless you enjoy a scavenger hunt — their “About Us” page is a good place to start.

Having established the currency risk before placing my order - I was reassured that there would be no extra charges - or 'No Surprises' (Aucune surprise!).
So if you don't have time to read this fully - don't trust Musique Shop and seek out the better European music shop, for example, in Germany! (Because they know what they are doing when it comes to 'export'!)
Having been assured that there would be no further charges - they were surprised - as I was - because I got a £15.50 transaction charge - because unlike Thomann - they submitted the invoice in Euros (Other European companies use the Treasury facility of their own banks and submit it in, for the UK in GBP).
Even though they promised to refund the charge - I've waited too long - so the review gets it! (And they specifically asked for a review in exchange for a credit!! - Dodgy!) .. So I'm happy to oblige.
Read the other reviews too - if you are thinking of ignoring my 'lesson learnt' - and you'll see a lot of unhappy reviews. And they are trés snail!
So don't order anything from the UK! And if you ever have to communicate with them you have to 'raise a ticket' - on a dodgy entry window. This has a habit of disappearing - it seems to operate like the old DOS system! Archaic and time consuming.

Ayant été assurés qu'il n'y aurait pas de frais supplémentaires, ils ont été surpris, tout comme moi, de recevoir des frais de transaction de 15,50 £. Contrairement à Thomann, ils ont établi la facture en euros (d'autres entreprises européennes utilisent le système de trésorerie de leurs propres banques et l'établissent, pour le Royaume-Uni, en livres sterling).
Malgré leur promesse de remboursement, j'ai attendu trop longtemps, donc l'avis est valable ! (Et ils ont spécifiquement demandé un avis en échange d'un avoir ! – Louche !) Je suis donc ravi de vous aider.
Lisez aussi les autres avis – si vous envisagez d'ignorer ma « leçon apprise » – et vous verrez beaucoup d'avis négatifs. Et ils sont vraiment véreux !
Alors ne commandez rien du Royaume-Uni ! Et si jamais vous devez communiquer avec eux, vous devrez créer un ticket – sur une fenêtre d'entrée douteuse. Ce système a tendance à disparaître – il semble fonctionner comme l'ancien système DOS ! Archaïque et chronophage.

No communication, no product
I ordered a guitar pedal more than a week a go, and I haven't received anything nor have I received any order status update. It still says: received order, an advisor will check and send your product. Even though it said the order was in stock, and sent the latest within 2 days. Terrible experience. I needed the pedal today so I had to buy it elsewhere. I hope they will still cancel my order and give me money back.

I order a piano bench. they took 2 months to deliver without any reply for my questions. when I get the bench, it is a cheap model instead of expensive one I order. I asked them to replace or return. they do not make any reply.

3 moths of stress
So, we are now almost 3 months down the line, since this whole thing started, no product ever arrived, refund agreed, no refund 2 months on.
They contacted me to tell me to take down my bad reviews then they would consider giving me my refund. My bank are currently 7 weeks into trying to get my money back on the charge back scheme. The company will not answer my messages, and have locked me out of my account. How are they allowed to still trade, and continue to commit what is clearly theft

I ordered (and paid for) 2 Timpani heads at the begining of May 2024. Despite phone calls and numerous messages they have not sent my heads and don't reply to my messages.
Their communication is dreadful and their attitude is not much better. Avoid this shop!

I wasn't happy with my purchase, when l have notified them they haven't even bothered to reply. The item pattern is smudged and looks tacky.

I've managed to received the product I bought but it has been an unnecessary stressful experience as:
1. their phone number basically does not work, I tried calling multiple times and it always go to the voicemail
2. they are also very slow on responding to their own help-desk system
3. although the product was marked on their website to be shipped in a couple of days, it took them a full week to ship it
After having such frustrating interaction (and reading previous customer comments) I'm actually relieved that in the end I received what I bought but I'm afraid I won't be buying with them again.
I wish them all the best and I hope they can improve their post-sale customer support so others do not have to pass through the same experience.

The shops website claims to have the item I want in stock Billy Sheehan Bass Overdive Ultimate pedal and has been since 4th October when order was placed , over a month down the line still no delivery many attempts to communicate
with this 'business' using their online form only 1 response so far giving no useful info.
I'm now going through the bank fraud team with my bank to recover the funds hopefully from bank used for transfer wish i had used debit card I'd recommend this for others in the
same situation. Amazing that they're able to get away with what is essentially robbery in plain sight. I think the French Fraud Department need to made aware of this company I will research their details to see how this company can be allowed to rip people off like this and still be open
