I own a Toyota car 2.0 l sport.The car cost £45,500 new. The car is nice to drive and very comfortable, however it has a serious fault which means it regularly breaks down. I have had to call out the AA numerous times now and they have told me that hey are always having to turn out to the new CHR and the Yaris for the same problem. That problem would you believe in this day and age is that the batteries supplied with these vehicle are not big/powerful enough for these cars. This was a foolish cost cutting measure by Toyota which I know through my own and others experiences is letting people down. The car battery easily gos flat in the following circumstances
1. If the car has not ben driven for more than 2 to 3 days especially in cold weather .
2. If when washing/vacuuming the car the doors are left open for more than a couple of minutes the battery goes flat.
3. If the electric boot door is opened/closed repeatedly in a short period of time.
I have been advised to keep the engine running when washing the car, of course there is a cost to this and it's certainly not good for the environment despite the car's green credentials.
Every time I go out to the car which is parked in my garage overnight I worry about whether or not it will start.The self charging batteries you can buy from Halfords don't work and are a waste of money.
Toyota will not or cannot fit a more powerful battery to the car and if you fit a larger one yourself (the AA could have done this) the warranty for he car becomes invalid. So we have a situation here where incredibly Toyota cannot rectify the matter and you are not allowed to rectify it yourself without invalidating the warranty, how ridiculous is this. We have some friends who have the same car and they are currently seeing legal advice and they will be contacting the financial ombudsman (as will I be) as Toyota are selling cars to the public which are not fit for purpose. Please think carefully about buying a Toyota CHR unless you know you will be driving the car pretty much every day.

Loved the site, was easy to navigate and the number options available to customize my var was fun and unbelievable. Most amazingly, I could not believe how fast the order was processed and shipped. Think I received it within 2 or 3 business days.

Would definitely recommend My Own Car to anyone looking to customize their car.
