Would give 0 stars if I could

Would give 0 stars if I could! This has to be the worst booking website I have come across. In order to take advantage of £3.99 Monday ticket offer you have to log in to myvue to redeem code. Would not recognise my password so I requested a reset.....I reset it via the link emailed to me and then proceeded to log in....it failed. I requested reset numerous times but each time it failed saying "Houston we have a problem". Called the helpline to be told to try on a different device or get someone else to book tickets for me abd that they would not honour online price over the phone. Very helpful! I then decided to set up as a new user with a new email address ....I managed to get into myvue and get a code. I wanted to book two adult tickets and one child ticket for the online offer but on closer inspection it had populated standard tickets too so I was almost tricked into purchasing 6 tickets! I manually adjusted the number of tickets, selected my seats and then proceeded to check out....the website then just freezes on the pay now button. Now pretty irate having spent an hour trying to book three cinema tickets I again call customer services. I explained payment frozen and asked if the agent could find a way to sort this out over the phone for the online price as this was wholly unacceptable. The agent suggested I go to the cinema and simply use my code there to buy tickets to which I replied that I didn't want to drive all the way to the cinema only to find out that my preferred seats were unavailable. I said it was unacceptable and that I had fulfilled my obligations to try to book online. It would appear from my conversation that Vue are well aware of the booking issues. As a gesture of goodwill the agent eventually processed the payment over the phone. I was left totally frustrated at the whole process and will think twice before putting myself through the ordeal of booking with Vue anytime soon! What a shocking website...must be losing customers in droves! If you know there's a problem with the website just be upfront and say and have the decency to offer customers that contact you by phone the online price.

Worst website ever. After 1 hour trying to book tickets, called customer service and been on hold for 15 minutes and still caller 23. Hanging up and booking cineworld. Sort your website out. Not the first time this has happened.

Simply the worst website ever created

Simply the worst website ever created. I have wasted half an hour this morning trying to pay for tickets , the pay now button freezes. So now I'm on hold for 15 minutes trying to book by phone. I've complained about exactly this issue before and clearly they have done nothing about it. Every time I try to book something is wrong with the website and it makes a 5 minute job into a long and stressful affair. I note that no one from vue ever replies to these reviews. Perhaps you have to go on Facebook to get their attention. Vue,please reply to let me know what you're doing to resolve your website issues.

less than one star if possible. was trying to buy a gift card but the online payment fails, even after going through card entry and security question, every time, with all cards i tried. It is impossible. Response from customer service was, 'we have checked and there is nothing wrong with the online payments' but am reassured from the number of entries below that in fact there is...

Appalling website

Appalling website. Trying to book tickets and no line for card details. What a waste of time. This happens all too often and is very frustrating. Sort your website because you will lose customers as there are other cinemas in the Bristol area.

Worst website I've ever experienced

VUE may as well not bother with a website it is so bad. It doesn't load properly if at all. Menus don't appear and it crashes half way through processes.

I gave up and went to Cineworld; a much better experience.

The most APPALLING online ticket…

The most APPALLING online ticket booking experience EVER! I now have three accounts with them, because if you have to do a password reset it still won't let you login. Once inside the booking system it adds random extra tickets, won't scroll properly, has to have its cookies cleared out because its dumped so much misinformation on your browser its got both you and itself in a muddle. Hate it, hate it, hate it!

So here is how to get the whole cinema…

So here is how to get the whole cinema to yourself, Try and book tickets online - get all the way through and try to pay - then the site - (website and app) will crash, - it will not take your money - BUT those seats you booked will no longer be available, keep going and book out the whole cinema, maybe this will show vue that they need to sort this out.

Disgusting behaviour from this Cinema…

Disgusting behaviour from this Cinema tonight, which sounds like the problems extended to other cinemas as well. A few weeks ago I booked 7 tickets to the 'They shall not grow old documentary+Q&A with Peter Jackson'
6 adult tickets and 1 child ticket.
On arriving, I was allowed to collect my tickets and encouraged to purchase food and drink items for the screening. Once sat down and the screening started, I was approached by an employee and told that our child had to leave as the film had been given a 15 rating. This was not noted at the time of booking, and apparently was only decided earlier that day. At no point was I informed of this, as I said they allowed me to collect the child ticket, and allowed us to purchase food and drink items.
They even had the cheek to tell me to put my child in a different screening on his own! Unbelievable.
And as it turned out, there was no Q&A with Peter Jackson at all, it was simply a broadcast interview with him, with no way of asking any questions.
This is awful, awful business practise from Vue, selling misleading tickets at a premium price. And then the way we were treated at the cinema was disgusting, really awful. I will not be giving them any more of our money.

Overpriced

Overpriced, no trust and awful website

I really cannot understand or accept the concept of an online booking system that charges me 75p per ticket for the privilege of me doing all the work. If the seat price was under a fiver including all fees I might be tempted to go to more films. If the food was not treble the price it should be, I would buy more food.

Cinema is clearly dying and Vue don’t seem to be doing anything to make it live. Yes the prices have been reduced but online is dearer than just turning up - to mainly empty cinemas. Food is awful and expensive.

There are a few independents that charge a reasonable price for food and we always buy it. At Vue we go to Poundland first and buy the things they charge £3 for, for under a pound.

I tried using a prepaid voucher once on the website and it was such a palaver that I didn’t know if it had worked or not. Got the tickets down to £4.10 via Gourmet Society card which made it just about palatable but £9 for three bits of food is a joke.

Then they tell you as you sit down to watch the film that they are watching you with Night Vision goggles so you won’t record the film! Really! Is that how you morons feel about your customers?

Clearly no trust though to be fair anyone could have walked in since no one checked our tickets - no doibt though they would be counting us in via night vision.

Website seems ok for simple things but pricing is confusing and having codes to get Monday deals which then don’t do anything is stupid.

Ask a few customers and maybe they will tell you how to create a pleasant experience all round.

Tried to book online for an hour

Tried to book online for an hour - used the app, the website, the PC, the iPad and it all works until you get to payment then it freezes and the 10 minutes expires so you have to start again. A truly amateur business who try to save money by not developing proper systems. According to the many tweets and reports they don't listen to customers either as this has been going on for months. I do understand this stuff and believe me they must be a true bunch of muppets to not resolve this problem.

Appalling cinema. No community values.

Despite the fact that the locals in Stroud would like to see more independent films and that even during the summer season this venue is mostly empty this cinema still insists on screening only Hollywood blockbusters. Not only a bad business policy but shows utter contempt for the local community. The App is appalling too.

Truly the worst website in the history…

Truly the worst website in the history of the web. I can't be the only one who uses Windows Edge, yet Vue cannot handle it. Normally I can't view the ticket choices. Today I can't pay by card - the box is blanked out and won't accept any entry for credit card details. Sort it out Vue. Your cinemas are good, your website is tripe.
