I’m deeply concerned

I’m deeply concerned. I just read pages and pages of 1 star reviews. That cannot be good for the National Lottery.

These are all your paying customers who are deeply disappointed with the new Lotto.

Your response to them is condescending and honestly people are not interested in the explanation you have been giving. You are telling them something they already know and the explanation doesn’t make the injustice better. What they want is a sincere apology and a change.

I for one want to firstly give you a chance to put this right - after all - the customer is always right - I think the saying goes and secondly I really want to give you a chance to change my life in some spectacular way.

But like all the other customers I am not happy with the new lottery. You might have made 55 millionaires since you changed it but none of the people reviewing you with 1 star has won the jackpot and they used to win enough back to justify playing which is not the case now. My experience since you changed it is - if I play I’m loosing and then loosing and loosing again with only £1 wins when I playing at £8-£10 a go.

You must change this and quickly because the public feel like you are scamming them and they won’t keep playing to win £1 (frequent) - £10 (rare) - £50 (extremely rare) - anything above (not happening/never).

This could result in an exodus and people going to Tramway Path, The postcode lottery and the health lottery instead of the lottery.

The more reasonable small wins kept people playing in the hope of something more exciting now they feel it’s a scam. Come on do the right thing and give them back the chance to win the amounts that will keep them playing

Another Con

Yet again another new company takes over and screws up a perfectly great system.
So you now win £1 for 2 numbers rather than a free lucky dip so now youve got to pay them another £1 just to play another line.
As for the roll down must win omfg so only 2 numbers and 3 numbers get a prize boost if no one wins top prize.
A disgrace and wont be playing it anymore

Hi Matthew, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review on Trustpilot.

The updated Lotto game now gives players 2 chances to win prizes of £1 million or more in every draw. This has meant reducing some of the lower-tier prizes. Since these changes were introduced, Lotto has created 66 new millionaires.

Hi Martyn, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review on Trustpilot.

With the updated Lotto game, every £2 entry now gives you two chances to win in the same draw, including two chances to win £1M or more. While some of the lower-tier prizes have been reduced, the changes have seen 66 new millionaires created so far.

I have only given one as its the minimum. Is anyone winning at the moment? Since Camalot lost the contract the games have been awful. The algorithms have changed. Max you will win is the price of the game. I played 17 games with no win. I have no idea how they work out the win ratio. This company needs to be looked into.

£1 prize? Shocking and ridiculous

I am shocked that any body in this day and age thinks that a£1 prize is a good idea!! Who ever came up with that should be sacked. Winning £1 is just insulting. It does NOT encourage people to try again. It made me angry. I have won three weeks in a row. £1 each time. Whoop de do!! It would just buy me a cup of coffee.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review on Trustpilot.

Once you've bought a ticket, any prize you win is still a win, regardless of whether it's more or less than the original ticket price. And with each Lotto line now giving you two chances to win in a single draw, it's possible to win a prize in both rounds from the same £2 ticket.

The new format will give players more chances to win, create more millionaires and raises even more for Good Causes – all for the same price and with the same number of balls to choose from.

This time i won a measly 10 quid for 3 x matching numbers , its not enough
This is 2026 and over the years ive seen the deterioration of this game and the prizes in it.
It doesnt weigh up fairly at all. Especially with the slim & slimmer chance as a result of the constant cut backs changes the National Lottery have subjected against members of the public like skimming the winnings for 2 numbers 3 numbers and so on. Everyone queing up in line with a dream of going on holiday but all the while its like a big monster in the queie pushing in front of everone else in the most greedy and vulgar manner. Empty hopes empty dreams. Jackpot money should stay the same after a rollover sharing the rollover money fairly to all winners with 2 plus matching numbers because why should the winner receive more than one jackpot? Is your answer ,- "its good to win the lottery and become a multi millionaire!" Set a limit of 1m for the winner or share/devide it if theres more than one jackpot winner. Share the money fairly ad you do also with charitable organisations because the lottery wouldnt even exist if it werent for the millions of members of the public taking part in the first place.

Hi Darren, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review on Trustpilot.

All of our Instant Win Games are predetermined upon purchase. With our Instant Win Games, there is an infinite number of prizes in the pool. For example, if the odds state 1 in 2.81, then this will be a 1 in 2.81 chance of winning every time you play. The odds of the game reset after every game played.

Hi Hiten, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review on Trustpilot.

We're sorry to hear you've not had much luck over the years. The National Lottery is regulated by the Gambling Commission, and each draw is carried out with an independent adjudicator present.

Unfortunately playing regularly or for a long period of time doesn't increase the chances of a particular set of numbers being drawn. Every ticket has the exact same chance of winning.

Are the Instant Wins fixed?

I have concerns regarding the integrity of the Instant Win games, as the stated win ratios appear to be inconsistent with my experience. Based on my records for the past month, I have participated in 40 games with a total expenditure of £72.25, resulting in 10 wins totaling £21.25. This suggests a win frequency of 1 in 4, which significantly deviates from the 1 in 2.36 probability advertised by the National Lottery.

09.09.2026 unable to deposit

09.09.2026. Making a deposit to your account on the National Lottery app isn't working. The money is taken from the bank but not deposited to the app account. Called the helpline and was told that this had been a problem all day. The person I spoke to was very helpful, however it would have been easy for Allwyn to have posted a message to all users either by the app message service or via email. Very poor communication on their part. It would also seem that you can't withdraw funds from the account now. Here's an idea, Allwyn. If your app doesn't work properly then shut it down and fix it instead of taking customer's money and wasting their time.
