Don’t waste your money

Don’t waste your money , absolutely useless the only communication they make is when they ask for money which is constant , they pretend to use their own solicitors but they draft in random people to represent you in court and ultimately you lose , over rated over expensive and useless ,avoid At all costs

You were represented for trial on 03.06.26. You were given the option by the representative of presenting legal argument to have the charges dismissed due to late service of CCTV evidence.

You chose instead without any pressure to plead guilty.

You did not pay for an in-house lawyer on the platinum service. You choose to pay for the bronze service and we note that our accounts team bent over backwards to help you manage your fees with a payment plan.

You also recently confirmed in writing that you had received a reasonable service.

As such your review bears no resemblance to the service received and you are invited to take this defamatory review offline.

Stay far away from NML

Stay far away from National Motoring Lawyers.

I had never experienced such poor service from a company until I dealt with them. I was initially sceptical about the negative reviews I had read, but unfortunately my experience reflected many of the same issues.

Before taking payment, I was assured that my case could be handled and that everything was under control. Given that my court date was only a few days away, I stressed the urgency of the matter. I promptly sent over the requested documentation and payment, but after that communication became extremely difficult.

Despite multiple emails and phone calls, I received very few responses. On several occasions I was told that someone would call me back, but no one ever did. When I finally managed to speak to a representative, they appeared to know very little about my case and were unaware that I had already submitted my paperwork and payment. This did not inspire confidence.

The most concerning issue was discovering that they did not even have a solicitor available to represent me. While they were quick to take my money and request further payments, I received very little in return.

After raising my concerns, Tayyab assured me that I would receive a refund. However, I later received an email stating that only my £165 deposit would be refunded and that the £900 I had paid for the “representation fee” is now carried over for the "preparation work" would be retained, despite me having withdrawn my instructions before any meaningful work appeared to have been carried out.

To make matters worse, I continued receiving emails promoting their services even after my complaint. When they did send an email about the solicitor being able to represent me the email described 3 different solicitors, clearly nobody reads their emails before they send them out.

I will be in touch with trading standards to express my dissatisfaction and will tell them about the shady business practices that NML carries out.
No accountability has been taken and not even a goodwill gesture to say that this was a mistake on their part

Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. They appear to operate as a third party rather than having solicitors readily available, and the level of communication and customer service I received was unacceptable. If I could give zero stars, I would.

You instructed the firm on 01.06.26 and the firm quickly took steps to prepare your case by preserving vital police video footage, preparing legal arguments for use in the case, requesting evidence and assisting you with the preparation of your statement. The firm appointed a representative to attend court with you.

On 01.06.26 at 12.30pm you provided your statement. Less than 24 hours later you cancelled the service evidently because you failed to appreciate how a highly specialised firm of solicitors can benefit your case by increasing your chances of success.

In every respect your claims are false and misleading and you are invited to take down this defamatory review.

I would recommend them able as I still was able to drive up until last week I do wish I had stronger defence but I see it still as a win regardless including reduction of fines too

Avoid at all costs!!

Avoid at all costs!!

I paid NML in full for representation, including extra fees for upgrades and travel. Despite this, they failed to represent me at critical hearings and later withdrew from my case, leaving me completely stranded.

Communication was terrible—calls ignored, emails unanswered, and no accountability. To make things worse, they still attempted to justify keeping my money for services they did not deliver.

This experience caused me serious financial and emotional stress during an already difficult time.

I would strongly advise everyone to stay away.

We withdrew from your case because you did not pay our fees for the hearing on 11.12.25.

This is despite offering you payment plans and a discount to reflect the short adjournment.

You would not expect an electrician or builder to attend your home and work for nothing and likewise you cannot respect your solicitor to attend Court without payment of fees.

Your review is false and misleading and bears no resemblance to the service received and you are invited to take this defamatory content offline.

Top lawyers

They access your case first, reassure you they can handle the case, talk about financial expenditure then take you on board and make sure they winne the case as promised.
They're very knowledgeable people and experience individuals.

Stay strong!

Get in quick and get the best solicitor you can afford. I, in the end had The Best, Mr. Philip Lucas aided by NML. He won my case because the Police were too afraid to stand against him. The Police officers bottled standing against him and perjuring themselves over the evidence they provided.

Stand firm! I’m self employed and still working.

NML! Thank you. Ride at times was rough but you got me there!

They are not professional whatsoever. I was was arrested about 6-7 months ago and I’ve got my trial at the court on Tuesday coming and till this day my solicitor has not contacted me once. They are quick to ask for extra payments but cannot even give a simple call to their clients to comfort them. Rubbish service, does not deserve 1p

You have not complied with our request to verify your customer experience however we have noted you are Mr Mas** file ref 10439 who the firm represented on the date mentioned in your review with the same issues raised by Mr Mas**

Your case was discontinued by the prosecution on 30.03.26 thanks to our efforts resulting in no driving ban, no criminal record and an award of costs to reclaim your fees.

Your review therefore bears no resemblance to the service you received and you are therefore invited to take the review offline as this amounts to defamatory content.

I used nml for a very complex case

I used nml for a very complex case. I have had 4 previous drink drive convictions making me vulnerable to the most severe bans possible. I was at home and was asked to provide a breath sample. I could have lost my license for 4-5 years, for this refusal for failure to provide whilst driving. David Houldcroft was brilliant with me, even though I went on. He managed to get a 3 but most likely 4-5 year ban down to 6 months. I am so grateful. He manged to get them to accept failure to provide in charge. I am looking forward to driving an Abarth 695 soon 🤞

My Experience with the NML was absolutely brilliant! They know what they are doing 💯 %.
I was very depressed and lost all hopes of driving again and would most likely loose my job on the process.
NML reassured me that they would argue my case and bring the truth and justice and give me a fighting chance to be judged before the Court.
They delivered!!!
They delivered with professionalism and Integrity and confidence.
Titanic “Thank you” to Richard Berman, Aaron, Amy, Michael, Paige, Ewan, Anastasia, Aidan, Lillie and Kate and of course NML.

I would like to start by thanking all…

I would like to start by thanking all the staff at National Motoring Lawyers for their dedication in helping me with a case that caused me sleepless nights and feelings of hopelessness. Mr Stephen Parker, who represented me, was incredibly supportive throughout the proceedings. He ensured my well-being by providing me with hope during times when I had lost it. My case was ultimately dismissed, and I credit all of that success to National Motoring Lawyers.

No words to describe this appalling Law firm! Avoid at all costs!!

Case Ref No: 10666

In some respects my experience with this company has already been exposed by other clients on many occasions and so I dont feel that I need to do anything other than highlight the same. For example, the 11th hour email the day before the hearing stating that no advocates were available at the originally agreed price, but that they had managed to secure a more senior representative at a higher price as long as payment was made by return. I can see that some clients complain that the company will not let them end the client solicitor agreement, because once they are instructed they have a duty to remain on the court record and only a good reason will allow them to end their appointment. In my case, the opposite was the case that they are arguing, despite the fact that I paid them to represent me at a hearing, they sent a one line email to the court stating that they would not be at the hearing, no reason or justiification was given for the same, I was not even copied in to the email.

This firm is not one that I would recommend and neither even is it one that I would recommend if you only had a choice between them and a 5 year old child whose only historical family association with legal matters was a distant cousin that lived next door to the secretary of someone who studied law for one term at university before changing to philosophy! I have no doubt that some of the reviews are genuine, after all, you are dealing with evidence provided by police officers! However, I can't see why anyone would post a fake review about a company they knew nothing about that just so happened to mirror my experience of dealing with the company. All the 1 star reviews are correct!

I hope that they respond to this review with their usual pro forma rhetoric because I will then prove everything that I have set out above with evidence of the same. By the way, they also respond to reviews by breaching client confidentiality!

Response to NML 10/03/26:

I note from your negative reviews that it is likely that you increase your fees more than just "occasionally", but in any event, you only notified me in the afternoon of the last working day before the hearing. Also, you state that it is common for solicitors to withdraw from cases due to not being placed in funds, you also respond to other negative reviews by claiming that you have to remain on the court record unless you have a good reason for coming off the same "solicitors are not permitted to withdraw from cases without good reason.". Increasing your fixed and paid for costs at 4pm on the day before a hearing would not constitute a good reason and neither should you be allowed to do so without informing the client.
For the record, whilst you can respond to clients reviews, confidentiality and privilege is not waived by the client and the SRA specifically state you can only do so "provided that you do not disclose any further details beyond that which the client has disclosed.". Your response to one of your previous client's who has also complained about your firm on here on Jul 23, 2025 is an outrageous breach against your clients rights, where you stated

"You then sent an email shortly before the trial on 04/07/25 at follows

‘Due to my critical financial situation is it possible that I won’t be able to pay any fees before Court trial. Can I get a free solicitor on trial if this happens?"

I have not made any financial demands to you, all I have done is requested that you refund me the unused costs that I paid you on account for the work that you have not undertaken. My negative review directly relates to your failure to return my money to me, the point I was making was that if this was returned then my review to some extent would have been mitigated by you in respect of the extent of your negligent failings. I would suggest that it is you who needs to take legal advice because my next step is to complain to the SRA about your conduct and also escalate my complaint to the Legal Ombudsman, who will expect you to provide the documents that I have requested but which you have ignored. Dont worry, I will happily provide an update on this review in due course.

Our website fees page explains ‘occasionally there may be limited availability for bronze level lawyers due to location or when instructed at short notice. In this case there may be additional fees…’.

We withdrew from the case because you did not place us in funds which is standard practice for any firm solicitors and you sent an email to our office in any event advising you did not want to have representation for the trial.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional Legal Support

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional Legal Support – Worth Every Penny

We cannot thank NML enough for the incredible support and dedication they showed throughout our case, which lasted over a year.

At the beginning, the first solicitor we were assigned unfortunately didn’t engage as much as we had hoped. Although they attended on time, the level of support and communication wasn’t what we expected. However, everything completely changed at the second hearing when Mr David Houldcroft represented us.

From the very first moment, Mr Houldcroft was outstanding. His communication was exceptional — he kept us fully informed, constantly went into the courtroom to update us on timings and progress, and explained everything clearly and calmly. After the hearing, he took the time to explain the next steps and possible outcomes in terms we could fully understand, which made a huge difference to our confidence and peace of mind.

Because of his professionalism and dedication, we decided to upgrade our package with NML to Gold so that Mr Houldcroft could represent us at every hearing. Although it wasn’t cheap, it was worth every single penny. His commitment, attention to detail, and determination to achieve the best possible outcome were truly impressive. He worked closely alongside our reviewing lawyer, Sandra, to ensure every detail of the case was thoroughly prepared and spot on.

After multiple hearings and several court adjournments, we are delighted to say that we won our case. It was not easy, but thanks to the incredible work of the NML team — especially Mr Houldcroft — justice was achieved.

We cannot recommend NML, Mr David Houldcroft, and Sandra highly enough. If you want a legal team that truly cares, communicates clearly, and fights tirelessly for the best outcome, look no further.P
