bad reviews don’t say it all.
I’ve just read all the reviews here, and with 77% saying they’re terrible.
I’ve just had a lovely man, named Kez who came to fix my windscreen as a pheasant flew into it on the m40. I could not be any happier with the work he’s done. He was very happy to answer any questions I had regarding what he was doing.
He had such a high pride in his job, and in spite of dealing with a lousy (rude) customer before me, he was very polite, and did the job very very well.
Working in the service industry had given me insight to just how rude people can be, and it can really put you off your job.
But he was professional, kind, and If I ever have the same problem again (hopefully with just a small crack and not a pheasant flying into my window) he’ll be the man I ask for.
Just remember, everyone can be having a bad day ..
Thank you for fixing my car! 💚
Fantastic service and professional…
Fantastic service and professional staff. Could not fault the quality of service from start to finish.
Would recommend to all.
liars
liars.
Made changes to my car that could have caused me and my family to have a fatal accident then said it wast them when everyone knows it was i just couldn't prove it.
AVOID. AVOID AVOID. 1 star is too good for them.
I was highly impressed with the service…
I was highly impressed with the service received from all the staff that were involved in the repair to my vehicle. I was kept informed of each stage of the repair and all staff were very courteous.
An excellent repair was carried out.
Thank you all for such a good job, would highly recommend you.
AVOID this company
AVOID this company!
i had a paint job needed on my door they told me it would be back within 5 days its now been three weeks and i have just be told it will still not be ready next week what a joke i have called them around 10 times in 2 weeks all they do is give you a excuse why it is still not ready. Also they gave me a courtesy car which is a manual and i need a automatic because of my leg problem this company is a absolute joke i am not sure how this company is still allowed to be in business with these practices.
This company is an absolute disgrace
This company is an absolute disgrace. If you need a windscreen or repair or any kind of door glass do not use them!!!! They force their fitters to fit the wrong glass in vehicles that’s just to start! They abuse and bully their employees and their families. They flytip windscreens in your garden. The operations director is a huge bully and thinks he’s some kind of gangster and threatened to come to my house to smash my husbands face in. He never did! He sent his manager to assault me and cause alarm and distress to my disabled children. Unfortunately when I reported her to the police for assault because of my disabilities I would of been unable to give evidence in court so she can get away with it. She then dragged 2 windscreens out of the van through them in my garden and took all of our personal possessions to Leicester 193 miles away from our home although there is 2 depots under 2 miles away. My belongings my husbands tools and my children’s belongings were on the van had we had recently moved home and he had private use of a vehicle. When my autistic son found out they had taken his belongings he had a huge meltdown and The operations manager called him an emotional spacker! Hate crime at its finest. He is 12 years old. So they are preventing us from getting our belongings back by putting every barrier in place that they can. They say my husband is abusive I think they must be confused? The police say that this is a civil matter but to me they have no intention of giving us our stuff back that’s theft! So please if you want the best service and the right windscreen in your car and don’t want to be subject to abuse (not by fitters they’re are amazing guys considering what they are going through by management) then don’t go here cos if you raise an issue with them after they will show you no concern won’t get the issue rectified and it will probably cost you all over again! It’s a shame these guys are in a company with power hungry wannabe warriors.
excellent service A1 +
excellent service A1 +
very helpful , and always in contact throughout my repair did a great job on my car
This is the worst place to get your car…
This is the worst place to get your car fixed, all the staff are very rude, the car was returned to me very mucky and had stains on the driver steering wheel, and in return they were expecting the car that they gave me to hire in very clean condition to be returned to them , even though the car that I was give had dog hair all over the boot, so I wasn’t using the boot space for the entire hire, my car was cleaned after I had to go to a petrol station to vacuum the hire car that was given to me , where is the service in this? Are you guys not making any profits to hire car valets?. the female staff members very very rude to come across they made me feel very unwelcome soon as I arrived, one of the female staff members started taking pictures of the hire car from the inside after telling me to go hoover the car up, I would never recommend these rude people to any one, Leeds branch that is!
From the guy who picked my car up to the staff members in the branch and the ones I called up on the phone all were rude toned and had no customer service skills, absolutely disgusting!
The work on the car has looked good so far in driving wise ( electric wise) I will check the body point work properly ones I have taken it to my local valets, to perform a wash with wax included in it, not that the place didn’t wash it, it did wash it, but no wax containing in it, which most places over see,
VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
Car collected on a Monday 29/7 am.
Assessment made on Thursday 1/8
"Will be ready by Tuesday." 6/8
Tuesday: NO CALL
I had to call them
"Wrong wheel, ready tomorrow"
Wednesday: NO CALL
"damaged wheel?"
I had to call them!
"Tomorrow!?"
Long story short
MANY phone calls later and finally got the car back TWELVE DAYS LATER.
I have had to make around FIFTY PHONE CALLS TO various Nationwide numbers, customer services (joke), workshop, never got through to any managers.
I can count on ONE hand the calls instigated by NW, most of them were in response to complaints.
Car arrived at my address.
Saturday, The first time I drove it, the Tyre pressure warning light was on! That means that someone had driven the car all the way from Grays with the TP warning light on?!
MORE PHONE CALLS!!
I had told NW exactly what the problem was.
EVENTUALLY someone drove from Grays on Wednesday to confirm the fault.
Car was picked up the following Wednesday.
Car repaired and brought back next am
Original pick up was Monday JULY 29
Dropped off (finally??) SEPT 5
Worst Repair company ever
Insurance company took my car there to have a simple bumper repair, 4 weeks later 2 new bumpers and wheel arch trim they still cannot get the bumper to fit correctly and have correct panel gaps.
terrible! im at wits end with them, there carefree attitude towards an issue is appauling
Edit: after spending a good 3 hours with 3 techs fine tuning the repairs on the car had to look at another vechicle on site to compare the differances to show that they just slapped parts onto my car without looking how they should be, will adjust this when i finally get the car back..
I wish I had looked at the reviews…
I wish I had looked at the reviews before taking my car to the Tonbridge branch.
Customer Service non existent
All staff need training badly weather its face to face or on the phone appalling.
Time taken for small repair horrendous.
The management of this company should be ashamed of the lack of care taken by staff.

Absolute shambles of a company
Absolute shambles of a company. 2 and half weeks after a week before waiting for them to pick my car up. I’m embarrassed for them, I would rather drive around with the damage on my car than use these clowns. Without swearing they are completely insert swear word useless. Staff don’t have a clue.

Honestly I have never experienced…
Honestly I have never experienced anything this shocking. Firstly their moto is to have repairs completed within a week of taking the vehicle, ha! Three weeks later and I'm still awaiting my car.
This is started when I was informed there would be refurbishments made, I advised the car is 2 months old I want replacements. That took 3 days to deal with as they claimed to have not received a work instruction from direct line. This had been sent but they had not seen it. Then I was advised that the work had been carried out a week later. They brought the car to me and the replacements hadn't been done but refurbishments 😂 (this was because the person carrying out the repairs had gone on holiday and new person had picked this up without the new work instructiona) you can't write this stuff up.
I was given the option to take the car as it is and then take it to a branch, I advised not only am I heavily pregnant but also on bedrest so they took the car away and advised it would be brought back tomorrow morning.
The next morning came and went and I called to ask what was going on as the courtesy car will now need to be returned by 5 o'clock that day. I was advised I needed to call my insurance company as they would need to extend the courtesy car until tomorrow because the rapairs haven't been carried out.
10 o'clock this morning I called nationwide and was advised someone would be there before midday with my car, I advised I needed to collect my daughter at 3 o'clock and was told they would be here way before then.
It's now nearly 2 o'clock and I've called nationwide 4 times and it's rang out. I had to call direct line to ask what on earth is going on as I have an obligation to take this courtesy car back by 5. The garage advised them that it won't be delivered by half 2 and I would need to call them to arrange a drop off.
Surprise surpise I called the garage and no answer!
Honestly thought things like this just didn't happen. Avoid at all costs, I thought I would use them because Direct Line said it was the company they use.

One star is six too many
GLASGOW branch
One star is six too many. Car damaged by bin lorry crashing into the side of it, whole side of the car from the front bumper to the back bumper damaged and the wheels too. Car collected, assessed and repairs discussed - over 3 months later and the car has just been rejected by me for the 2nd time as the repairs are such a shoddy standard - runs in paint, doors don't close properly, dents and damage occurring on their site, food waste left in the car by their employee's, trim not fitted, new parts not fitted the list goes on. Car will be sent elsewhere for repair now as I have less than no faith in their ability to do a decent job. I wish I had known I could choose where to send the car for repair - do not blindly follow your insurance companies advice like I did. Absolute cowboys, have seen better work from 1st year apprentices.
UPDATE - less than 24 hours after this review I get a sudden contact request from Nationwide and they have even managed to get their own contact number wrong. Fantastic.

Excellent service
I was recommended to use Nationwide Coventry to remove a paint mark on the front of my car left by a careless driver in a car park. It was was only a minor job but I asked for a retail estimate. Simon looked at it and said he could polish out the mark and promptly did so there and then. When asked how much to pay he said nothing. What a good example of service despite the branch being very busy. Many thanks and I have no hesitation in recommending you to my friends.

Absolutely shocking
Absolutely shocking! Terrible company. AVOID AVOID AVOID! Been waiting in since 7.30am this morning and now, at 7.20pm they STILL haven’t been. Rang numerous times to find out what was going on and was told (on the first time I rang) that she’d forgotten to ring me to let me know that they’d be here at 4pm not early this morning. 4pm came and went. More phone calls and more of being fobbed off. Office is now closed and haven’t got a clue what’s going on. Lost a days work because of these numpties. To say I’m fuming is an understatement!
Update: there isn’t a way to reply to your comment. I am not posting personal details on here!

On today's performance ....
On today's performance ..... am disgusted.
I have a motabillty car which was involved in a minor accident last week which was supposed to be collected for repair today by Nationwide at Leeds. This afternoon they rung to say they were busy and i could i re-schedule for another day; the girl was just matter of fact that they had other cars come in today.
point being , because they couldn't provide me with a suitable couresy car for my needs i have had to cancel appointments for this week now. i would have thought motability pre-arranged appointments came first !.
So now they might or might not collect it today .... open diary she called it ...... not impressed at all
UPDATE :
as soon as this review was posted i received a phone call to say they were on their way.... would they have been had I not posted here ? ... i doubt it. Nationwide A.R.C LEEDS 1 Triumph Close.
UPDATE 2:
well eventually afer delays on their part i got my car back yesterday (10 days). Didn't drive it because of the heat, and so i went out to it today to find damage to back wheel trim and set of locking wheel nuts missing ... just one small nut left in coin dish. I know the set was left in glove compartment because i checked it.
Ah well i rang central office and reported , so will have to wait and see what happens now.... I wouldn't believe the incompetence had i not witnessed it first hand..

Moral of this very long story is DO NOT LISTEN TO YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY DONT SEND YOUR CAR HERE!
I will just add one star is too much but you have to put something..
In May I had a car accident which damaged mainly the right side on my car & suspension which meant that I couldn’t drive it. At the scene of the accident the police arrange for my car to be collected by CMG & it was taken to their compound. I rang my insurance company soon after the accident & they said they’d arrange for my car to be collected from CMG & taken to Nationwide Crash Repairs to be estimated.
I have a 3 month old Vauxhall Corsa & I was keen for my car to be taken back & repaired at the garage where I brought it, however, my insurance company said that they recommend Nationwide Crash Repairs & strongly suggested sending it there as they deal with it all - so I agreed.
I was really worrying about sending my car here so I decided to look up reviews, which was a bad idea because I’d say 90% off them were bad (mainly about service, appearance of car etc). I called my insurance company on 2 more occasions to tell them I didn’t want to send it here because of what I had read but they would just say “People only write reviews when they have someone bad to say...” Anyway they pursuaded me to send it there.
When I got there I was given a courtesy car which wasn’t really checked very well but I just assumed it was because it was a brand new 19 plate car that probably hadn’t been used much.
To be fair to some of the employees at the company, they did call me a few times to update me on my car. I was told I would get it back on the 22nd of June but then I was informed that they probably wouldn’t make this date. I was going abroad on the 24th so I told them that my mum would be there to swap over the cars & pay the excess on my behalf.
When my car was returned on Friday the 28th of June, they showed my mum some faint scratches on the courtesy car which they said was probably a cat & that they should be able to polish them out but they’d let me know - which is a bloody liberty considering what a s**t job they didn’t repairing mine!!
Fortunately, we are good friends with people that work for a Vauxhall dealership so they said that when we got the car back they wanted to inspected it & make sure it was done correctly.
My dad returned home & inspected my car, he could tell it was bad so he took it straight down to the Vauxhall dealership where they actually couldn’t believe that NationWide Crash Repairs had done to it. To name a few things;
1. None of the panels match
2. None of the panels have been put on properly
3. The paint work has loads of swirls & scratches in it especially on the bonnet
4. Without the bonnet being open you can see under it
5. Some of the panels have no reflection on them
6. The bonnet looks 3D especially in the sunlight
7. The paint work is bubbly
8. They say they clean it before returning - they hoover the matts & that’s it
9. Even though they kept saying, it’s says in the booklet they gave you & my insurance company said that they would only use genuine parts - this is a massive lie & they do not
10. They’ve used old parts i.e. bolts to put in new parts
11. They’ve repaired my bumper but charged for a brand new one
The list is endless....
My car is having to be re-repaired by the Vauxhall dealership. I emailed Nationwide Crash Repairs saying how disgusting it was but funnily enough they didn’t reply! They also aren’t replying to my insurance company! They’re absolute con artists, they con people like myself & they also con the insurance companies to get as much money as they can out of them.
My car is now most likely to be written-off because of the amount that is having to be spent on re-repairing it.
It makes my blood boil that people can be this sly, cold hearted & rude. But as they say what goes around comes around...I doubt this business will be able to carry on for much longer especially when insurance companies start revoking contracts with them & all the liars that work for them will be out of a job.....what a shame :)
Grays Branch! Stay away I would never use them!
My motability car was sent to the Grays branch in Kent to be repaired. I had left a few of items in the boot because I was unable to remove my items from my car. They garage received confirmation to not fix my car.
They sent back one item that was in the car I.e blankets but failed to return my £180 limited edition shoes and also stole an expensive perfume.
The garage hasn’t really been helpful in investigating what has happened I didn’t want to contact the police I just wanted my items to be returned to me.
A good company would investigate internally and return the items or offer a different outcome.
I would never recommend to use this company the unprofessionalism of staff is shocking as a company employees need to be vetted better.
I’m hoping that this is taken seriously so that this doesn’t happen to someone else!
Repair VW Golf
My car has been repaired in excellent condition. I was updated by phone how the car was doing and when it will be finish. My car was delivered and Terry was great. He explained what the yellow envelope entailed and excellent service by him.
