I purchased a S49 keyboard online (£649.00) from what I thought was NI UK. After a long wait I had a UPS tracking email stating delivery was to be on 04/10/23....it never arrived. Called UPS who informed me that I had to pay £170.00 for import duty from Germany!!!!.....WHAT!!! told the to stuff it. Cannot contact NI UK at all, email chat is automated and non relevant to my query. Going to get a chargeback on my CC. Avoid this company like the plague.
Obviously an online scam
I got an offer that if I buy one product in a series I get another product for free. I did it and I was cheated. I am a long time customer with this company and still have a voucher for the purchase of a KOMPLETE 14 COLLECTORS EDITION worth 1,800 euros. so I thought to use this, since it expires shortly. I then found that the free product was taken away from me again and they called me stupid via the support channel because I couldn't read. However, I think I am entitled to the free instrument and I have contacted my lawyer and he will take action because is obviously an online scam. I will not order from this company again.

Always been a fan of native instruments plugins especially Kontakt.
However, the removal of sounds.com was very abrupt and Native lacked clear communication of what was going on and what would happen to our unused credits.

I said after my last download I would never buy from NI again. Well. here I am and Native Access is STILL crashing after jumping through a bazillion hoops to get it working last time. Tech support is and has been non-existent for a while. This company is sooooo disappointing.
NI do not appear to respond or care
Looks like there is no point in writing a review as NI do not appear to respond or care .... I will do it anyhow as no other action is possible. Messaged NI days ago as unable to install update to Traktor Pro 3 and therefore unable to use my newly purchased X1 Mk 3. I have followed all the instructions, set all permissions and NI Access keeps failing. No help whatsoever from NI. So I have gigs, a Useless new X1 Mk3, Pro Plus that is clipping worse than without optimizer.
Nothing else to do, i have gone over and over the steps, restarted endless times, removed and redownloaded NI access.
NI used to have good customer relations. It seems as companies become more successful and make more money customer service becomes irrelevant.
Too many bugs
Im fed up with Native Access being buggy. It no longer works for me. NTK Daemon issues starting NA, but yet I cannot uninstall/reinstall that Daemon. So sick of my products just not working.
Native Instruments (NI) return policy is senseless
I purchased a Native Instruments (NI) Komplete Kontrol A49 Controller Keyboard for the purpose of learning to play piano. I subsequently requested a return as I was unable to learn how to properly use it due to its sophisticated design. NI rejected my request saying that since I opened the shipping box, registered the product and installed the software, their promised 14-day return policy was null and void. This policy is senseless since their instructions say to register and load the software right away after opening the shipping box. It should be noted that if I had purchased the keyboard from Amazon, this would not have happened since Amazon's return policy states that "This item can be returned in its original condition for a full refund or replacement within 30 days of receipt." As such, it appears that NI is out to penalize buyers for buying directly from them. Again, that makes no sense. NI's customer support is totally unacceptable.
Unprofessional & Unreliable Business
Awful customer service, unfriendly policies and poor support for existing products. They frequently discontinue support for products that you've come to rely on which is almost unforgivable in the music industry. They're just simply not 'professional' in anything that they do as an organisation, which is a shame because they make interesting products.

I paid a small fortune for Guitar Rig 6 just weeks before the new version dropped. I complained at my now options, but they didn't even give a human response. Insulting.
Naturally I complained about the fact I bought without any sense of Guitar Rig 7 being due to be launched (at same high cost).
They gave no sense of maybe a refund, or reduction in costs in such a scenario.
If this happened with a product elsewhere, that would absolutely happen.
Obviously I'm kicking myself, but I did search to see if there's any sense of a new version coming out. Nothing advertised anywhere.
It turns out the price of Guitar Rig 6 had actually been half price a while before the launch of Guitar Rig 7 (fair enough - makes sense). But when I came to buy Guitar Rig 6 at full price in the weeks before Guitar Rig 7 launch, the price had been doubled again.
What were they thinking?
If they'd left it at half price during that time it would've been fair enough, as that's clearly a more fair policy at such a time.

They could be better
They could be better. I have used NI for years with Traktor Pro but it's lagging behind Serato which is a shame. I also own a Traktor Kontrol S5 but there's no support for it or the S8. Expensive to buy, and they were the bees knees when they came out but now obsolete. I'll stick with Serato Pro now and my switch to another controller.

24.08.2023: When it comes to support it doesn't sound as good as their VSTs! It's not what you can expect from a German company! Simply disappointing.
27.09.2023: The support team replied and informed me about a problem in their support system and missing some support requests. The problem is fixed now.
Komplete download dissaster
We all know that the Komplete package is a massive collection of creative tools that cost a lot of money and take up some space on your harddrive. Paying that kind of money you expect the company had some professionel systems in place for distributing more than 1T of content, but sadly no. Downloading Komplete is a dissaster! The Native Access platform goes down, there are download errors, even authorization errors end the process are stopping all the time. It really sucks! You have to plan for several days where you cant work i your studio because you have to download this. You cannot just hit download all and let it be for several days and then everything will be fine. No way. The download is so slow that is is redicules for a company delivering this type of data hungry instruments online and obviously not having the server capacity to handle it. Very unserious and disapointing. Thats why we still see a lot of Montage, Fantoms and Kronos in the field, way easier, buy a hardcore workstation, switch it on and there you go. If you calculate the price including 3-4 days downtime in your studio, they end up cheaper. And no, my hardware is not outdated, we have 200 Mb download on the network, MBP M2Max and a new harddrive. Get up to speed, Native, otherwise this will be the last package you sell me!

Absolutely Terrible I have a Komplete Audio 6 and I have for years and years, I have the old sticker on my device because its around 10 years old and they switched the stickers. It doesnt have the serial number and I never registered it, dont have the box as the device is so old. Been ol trusty but apparently they wont give me the software that used to be free just to run the device without the serial. Customer service rep Nanni should be fired.

I have used Native instruments Komplete-Ultimate plugins for the past ten years and bought their latest upgrades until now.
If I need to get in touch with them by phone, this isn't an option, as their phones are constantly engaged, meaning the phone receiver is off its hook.
By email is just as much a joke, they don't answer the question that you've asked and then it takes a week to respond with information that's not relevant !

You don't shut down a Site like Sounds.com !! i have lost 300 euro !! Realy very very sad !! i log in at 1 july and the site is Vanish so Simple !!You guys think that this is a sirius company than you are total in deep Midnight !! I have to learn about the shut down as i have send a mail to the support !! Ok they have answered immediately a plus point bravo !! If Sounds.com haved shut down so also can shut down Native-Instrument just like that and you get to lost all your VST's keep that in mind for the future !!
Beware before you buy.!
I have a lot of music software and hardware and what I have found is Native Instruments doesn't play well with others. They like to keep you locked into there little world and try to keep you from using outside software. There software does not integrate well with other software.
Music software should integrate with other software, as most do,
But not Native Instruments.
Experimentation and mixing is very important in creating music.
I have bought many NI products but do not use them because......
They want to lock you in to there own little world....

I re-installed Windows and Kontakt wont load my old projects. In their support, everything you will find is "help yourself". Thanks. Kontak 7 is something, which on a peaceful planet should have been a free patch. Instead they charge 100$ for it. The only additions are bug-fixes and patches they should have added years ago, for free.
They dont care about how horrible their software is, because they are the monopoly in this field, with no alternative. This is why their ratings are similar to a tax office.
